Good location near the JR station adjacent to the street for dinning / shopping. Hotel is old but my twin room size is ok. There is only one hot spring bath opens at a particular times for man and women.... small and not good. Breakfast is very very simple .... no choice, very disappointed.

First of all, would like to give a big thumbs-up to the staffs at the front desk 🥹 I think one of them is their manager or leader too. They are so so helpful when we encountered some issues with the parking machine even the parking lot is not under this hotel.
And for the hotel, everything is good too.
Clean and big room, friendly staff, good location too. It’s just a few mins walk to the canal river...
The room was a normal size and very close to the canal, within walking distance of all the attractions. The service was excellent; we arrived in the morning before check-in, and they stored our luggage for free. By the time we checked in later that afternoon, our bags were already in the room. Overall, it was great, and I'd book this place again if I ever go back to Otaru.
Counter staff extremely friendly and patient with our booking. Easy to move around city area. Nice place to visit. Staff recommended best sushi in town.
Booked room with breakfast. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is so good and you have to select a time slot to avoid over crowded in the restaurant. Location of the hotel is far from JR Station. If there is a heavy snow fall it will be quite challenging to bring your luggage to the station. Overall, location of hotel is near to the Canal and restaurant.
Overall, the hotel's design is quite good. The exterior and some decorations incorporate the distinctive red brick architecture of Otaru, giving it a strong local character, which is definitely a highlight. The location is also decent, about a 10-minute walk from the station, which isn't too far even with luggage, and it's right next to the canal. The staff's service attitude was excellent; they were...
Pros: The price is quite reasonable, over 700 for a night with three beds. You can grab toothbrushes and toothpaste from a small table next to the front desk. There's a convenience store right next to the hotel, which is handy for buying things. Although the breakfast area is small, the breakfast itself is actually pretty good, and the restaurant staff are quite friendly. They also write little tips...

The room layout was a bit odd, with a partition in the middle, which I wasn't entirely happy with. For dinner, we had French cuisine. I saw reviews on Xiaohongshu saying it wasn't good, and while it wasn't amazing, it wasn't bad either. Breakfast options were also limited. The outdoor hot spring was a bit cold, but the scenery was nice. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the view; it feels...
This was our 2nd time to stay at La Vista , a wonderful hotel with great service and foods. The environment is so amazing. Definitely recommend and we will come again next year.
Service: The staff were very dedicated, making guests feel that they were getting good value for money at a high-end hotel.
Environment: My daughter said the room was like something out of Harry Potter and she loved it. The facilities are a bit old but well-maintained. The hot springs are natural (though water is added). This is the first time I've encountered a Japanese hotel where you have to bring...
Excellent, excellent, excellent! Beautiful scenery, great service, and dinner was fantastic value for money.
The snowy mountain scenery is beautiful, and the view from the window is also great. The room was quite comfortable and quiet. The service, however, was very, very average. As for the snacks and ramen they supposedly offered, they were gone after a short while, and some I didn't even see where they were located. The open-air hot spring was good. For the French dinner, only the beef was decent, and...
The room was quite spacious and the heating was excellent. The window view was absolutely stunning. It was wonderfully warm to come back to after playing in the snow. Breakfast was abundant and delicious.

The location is just opposite the JR station which is convenient and hotel have its own free site parking. Overall good experience, only the breakfast not my fancy type.
Very good holiday in an excellent location. It has free parking and also coin laundry service which is helpful. The only thing which could be a consideration was a very small room especially the bathroom.
In front of the hotel, children can play in the snow, and equipment such as snow molds is provided.
However, the hotel has very limited amenities. Even the pajamas are only in the form of robes. I paid for my child, but no amenities were provided unless we specifically asked. There is also an onsen, but it is small and not a natural onsen.
Breakfast is served as a set, with a choice between Japanese...
We stayed 4 nights and honestly loved it — this was one of the highlights of our Hokkaido trip. The room was clean, cosy, and super comfortable after being out in the cold all day. What really made the stay special was the view: from the front we had a beautiful mountain view, and from the back we could see the ski resort, waking up to snow scenery every morning felt unreal.
The hotel was also quiet...
The hotel is very close to the ski resort, about a 15-minute drive away. It offers free parking and self-check-in. Its location right next to the JR station is excellent, with many restaurants within walking distance.
Hotel is very conveniently located near the JR Furano station. However, food places are located about 10-15 mins away on foot.
Self check in and check out system were efficient. The room itself was not large but it was comfortable and cozy.
Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. Recommended for those who want convenient location near the train station.

Located on the shores of Lake Saroma, facing west, this hotel offers excellent sunset views. The onsen (hot spring) is quite nice, with facilities on both floors, and the dinner buffet is well worth the price.
The hotel has been open for a while, and there's a persistent issue with the ventilation units or air conditioning units experiencing low-frequency resonance. Luckily, I brought earplugs and...
The hotel is located by the lake, and the sunset views from the rooms are a major selling point. The beach is right outside the room, creating a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast includes freshly squeezed juice, and the restaurant is beautiful. Freshly toasted eggs are also available.
Very peaceful and has beautiful scenery. Love the birds around the sea.
Everything about the hotel was extremely good and overall the service was good, except the last day at breakfast the staff were not as helpful. Our room was spacious with great views and it was a good hotel as a base for touring, my only issue was the breakfast finished at 8:30 - that is too early when on holiday!!
I visited in early June and stayed for 2 nights. It turned from sunny to cloudy that day. Unfortunately, I didn't see the sunset. The lake view was beautiful. It was very hot in the room that day. I turned on the air conditioner but there was no wind at all, so I opened the window and just turned on the air conditioner. The wind was not blowing in from the direction of the window and we were sweating...
The location of the hotel is very remote and we arrived around 7:00. There was no food around. The service attitude is generally good and the breakfast food quality is good. The environment is good and there is 🦐 sashimi. The hot spring ♨️ is not as good as expected.

Stayed two nights on Feb 8-10th. Very traditional Japanese hotel, feels more catered to local Japanese who speaks language. Location is ski in/out at base of Grand Hirafu resort, convenient for skiers esp those with own equipments, resort has good storage facility! Minimart & vending machine in hotel makes it very convenient too. Decor is not impressive. Did not try the breakfast. Have to pay onsen...
they are asking for tourist tax 700 yen which didn’t notice before check out . That was disappointing
Nice and clean swimming pool facilities.
Great atmosphere and service.
I love the onsen. Especially a long hard ski on the powder
Honestly just came for the onsen as I was staying at the more budget Owashi lodge (R.I.P) across the street.
Still good value and awesome views
A very pleasant stay, our family have the best time in this skii resort, it is like living next to snow. Breakfast with a variety of sashimi and amazing view you never forget. They have 3 beds room, just nice for a family of 3.

very far but worth to visit, good food
Great staying with my dad's 70th birthday.
He's very satisfied with it and the location and the foods are the best.
Decent hotel for the price. Meals were great! Recommended to stay here.
If you have the budget, it's best to book a superior twin room or higher, rather than a single room. Besides being spacious, the bathroom and toilet are spacious and have a separate toilet, providing a better user experience.

I chose this apartment hotel when I came to Niseko for skiing. The reception staff was very enthusiastic and was happy to help me send my ski bag to Tokyo when I checked out, and arranged a shuttle bus to take us to Kutchan Station. Although it is not a ski in & out, it is very convenient to have a free shuttle bus nearby! In addition, the balcony is a natural refrigerator, which is great! Finally...
Great location, close to restaurants, ski rental and ski area. Easy walk up for the station, would not be great with the ski equipment. Clean apartment and well supplied with all that you may need for a short or long stay. Easy check-in and check-out. Well recommended.
Stayed for a week in February in the Studio Apartment. Just right for a couple, small kitchen with microwave/oven, sink, fridge and appliances (no cooktop). OK for breakfast or food truck meals, but a bit small for cooking dinner. I would not expect to entertain guests here :) That’s OK since many restaurant choices around, but don’t forget to make reservations. Large locker for ski gear and washer...
Great place in the centre of town, lots of space, perfect for us. Nice seating which you don’t always get. Easy apartment to live in and has everything you need. Good secure ski locker. Thanks Arthur, you’re amazing especially when I hurt myself skiing. To Louis and Lewis for going out of your way with transport. To the three of you for restaurant and food truck suggestions and the onsen recommendation
Best Value in Town
This place is amazing. Its right next to the center of the Hirafu town where all the action (food) and transportation is. Lawson also right next door. Rooms are small but smartly designed, I felt more comfortable here than in many other larger hotel rooms. Staff was friendly and wanting to go above and beyond to help me get out of a jam when there were no taxis in town.
Great room, lots of space. Provide almost all necessity and appliance required. Right beside lawson. Right by the main road and center of hirafu. 10/10 will come again. Jordy is very friendly, recommended food places to us, and even provided transport service for us!

The bathtub was large and I could really relax in the warm water. It's also conveniently located near the station and a convenience store, which was great.
Short walk away from Hakodate Station.
This is an excellent 4-star hotel to stay in Hokadate. Almost as good as the 5-stars but at the 3+star price. Rooms are big and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is midway between the station and the harbor where most people spend a lot of time and the only Starbucks in town is located.
I stayed in a D-Fourth Non smoking room on the 8th floor. The room has a nice view of Mount Hakodate from the balcony and a view of the port from the bedroom window. We booked standard rooms at $600 AUD per night .. they forgot to mention that these rooms are basement level with a window looking up to the road .. they also forgot to mention that these rooms are next to the staff room, the laundry, the maintenance room so everyday we had bags and bags of laundry and loads of noise by the staff. My family and I had a fantastic stay at The Vale Niseko in January 2026. We spent three nights in a family-friendly two-bedroom suite, which was perfect for our small child (a 3 years old). Very nice and clean room with a very big bathtub. Shoutout to Jessica for her warm hospitality and assistance! Will definitely come again.
Luxury at a reasonable price
The property is about 50 yards from the ski lift. The room is spacious and well appointed. We had a kitchenette with fridge and microwave as well as flatware. The Onsen is smaller but nice and comfortable / relaxing.
My first trip to Niseko was great, and the three days at The Vale Hotel were quite memorable. Check-in was very smooth, and there was no annoying waiting at all. The room layout and facilities of the suite were in line with expectations, and it was suitable for a long stay for families. The price-performance ratio is quite good among hotels in the same area. However, the blackout effect of the curtains...

Although this hotel no onsen but it us worth for staying. Reason being they provide very nice breakfast set and no parking charges plus the services of the hotel was great n warm.

The staff were incredibly friendly, always greeting me with a warm smile every time they made eye contact. The free lounge was also convenient and enjoyable. Oh, and the breakfast was amazing! Breakfast is a must
Although it's not a hot spring hotel, the bathrooms in the hotel rooms are very thoughtfully designed. There's a variety of bath salts to choose from in the lobby, followed by a larger bathtub with a faucet next to it, just like in a hot spring, so you can wash yourself clean before soaking in the tub. Just across the bridge from the hotel is Fisherman's Wharf and Shore Fireplace. Breakfast is delicious...
The breakfast was great. The hotel is a bit old, but the selection isn't very good, and the value is good. Booking through this site won't guarantee the lowest price, but it's still reasonable. It's worth comparing prices. The hotel is quite good, located in a busy area.

Conveniently located. It was the reason I choose this hotel. Went Hakodate for a meal
We stayed here last minute due to some transport cancellations. The location was fantastic, right next to the station. Room was basic but very comfortable. The staff were friendly. Really enjoyed the outdoor bath while the snow fell.
This hotel is right next to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto JR Station, making it perfect for a layover when traveling by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Hakodate. It's a business hotel, but the facilities and service are excellent, and they even have a hot spring bath.
The room was clean and tidy, a good experience overall.
This is an excellent option if you need an overnight stay between train rides or picking up a rental car near Hakodate. Easy train access to Hakodate city if you want to visit. Very nice onsen facilities and the rooms themselves are pretty big! WIll definitely stay here again if I'm taking trains between Honshu and Hokkaido.
New and next to station, staff are nice and responsive to email requests.

Parking and access to the ski slopes are very convenient. The front desk service is attentive; a staff member helped with our luggage and even provided pajamas for the whole family upon check-in. The room facilities are complete and new, with a superb view overlooking Mount Yotei. The breakfast is also quite good.
It was my first time staying at a 4-star hotel, and it was really nice that I could use the private hot spring by making a 40-minute reservation. Dinner was served in the dining area, but I couldn't eat it.
Unfortunately the hotel restaurant requires reservations but without prior notice. The restaurant only occupied by 3 tables. Don’t understand why hotel restaurant not allowing guests to use. There are not many food options around the property. End up walking to the convenience store for food. Staying in a very nice hotel and eating cold sandwiches is not I expected it.
It’s a beautiful hotel, room is excellent. The grounds around the hotel is very pleasant, making strolling around the area refreshing. It’s was during the off peak period, so it’s not crowded, though several businesses were not opened. It’s a good time to enjoy some less energetic exercises like walking around and enjoying the scenery and fresh air.
Been to Niseko for skiing for 3 years. This is honestly the best price-to-value hotel. You get every essential things, location, ski-in-ki-out, and onsen.
