Amazing place right outside of Arashiyama, it is very quiet at night after the crowd has gone and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The rooms were huge and clean, and the amentities were great.

The staff were also super helpful and polite and we enjoyed top class service - don't be fooled by Google's label of "4 star hotel", this is one of the luxurious "Ryokan" Japanese homestay experience.

Only thing to note is that this is not the hotel to based your "regional exploration trip" off as Arashiyama station is almost 1 hour away from JR Kyoto station (where it connects to most of Kansai).

My stay here was elegant and blissful. I really enjoyed the kaiseki in particular—the food is delicious and the chef’s craftsmanship really shines. Hospitality here is unmatched. I look forward to returning here with my family.

An upscale, modern ryokan-like experience that is definitely a splurge but also very beautiful. The property is intimate and meticulously kept, staff are very attentive. The attention to detail from the interior design to the landscaping and the breakfast and dinner services is incredible. The location is right by the river, easy to get to from the train station and a great base for exploring the area, including the Tenryu-Ji zen temple and the bamboo forest.

Absolutely fantastic service, hospitality and food served here. The location is convenient and easily accessible from Kyoto Station as well. Would highly recommend paying a little more for a two to three night stay in the Luxury Suite Japanese style with Open-air Bath room, alongside traditional breakfast and kiseki dinner experiences. Special regards to Chihara-san, Yamaguchi-san and Taneda-san for being lovely ladies who served me throughout my wonderful stay. Will definitely come back in the Spring and Summer to experience this again someday.

Ryotei Rangetsu is a hotel with a perfect location, very close to many attractions in Arashiyama. The hotel’s kaiseki cuisine is excellent in both quality and taste. Before arriving, we informed the hotel in advance about the foods we do not eat, and they accommodated us very well.

The staff provided excellent service, and the room and views were beautiful. The onsen water quality was also very good — soaking in it felt truly refreshing and relaxing.

I may have stayed during a peak holiday season, so the price was a bit high at that time, but aside from that, everything about the hotel was impressive.

The room was very large. I initially didn't get a first-floor room with a garden, but after communicating with the hotel, they moved me there because they had a room available. The environment was great!

As for breakfast and dinner, I was very happy with them. The tofu and fried fish, in particular, tasted exactly like the ones I make back home. The presentation was impeccable, but there were just too many cold dishes.

The tatami mats were clean, but walking barefoot was a bit painful. 😭 Right outside the door was Togetsukyo Bridge, which was incredibly beautiful on a clear day. I regretted only spending three days in Arashiyama. Later, I went to Shijo and found the mountains more comfortable. There are also plenty of delicious restaurants nearby. Overall, this place is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The hostess and the wait staff were very friendly and recommended good restaurants. I'll stay here again!

This is the hotel with the biggest discrepancy between price and room that I have ever stayed in. The room is just like a B&B, and the hot spring area is old and out of shape. What a rip-off!!!

The Treasure Hotel in Arashiyama has Togetsukyo Bridge at its doorstep. You can feel the extreme noise and tranquility just across the door. The service staff are very warm and gentle. Staying here makes you happy both physically and mentally, and your whole mood softens.

The room is very big. There is a Togetsukyo Bridge at the entrance of the hotel. The scenery is beautiful. There is a Togetsukyo Bridge on the bamboo forest path. There is also a mountain view at the entrance. The hotel's breakfast is average.
