Tokinoyu Setsugetsuka in Hakone

The entrance is right in front of Gora Station, so transportation wouldn't be an issue. Plenty of shops and places to eat around the station, but they close pretty early. The front desk staff can speak English and explained everything clearly, from the type of onsen, the bathing hours, meals, and how to get to our rooms (it was in a separate building). The onsen are great, the outdoor private bathtub is great, but the water cools off pretty quickly in winter. The room is very spacious and they also provide an extra futon. I could do a bit of work comfortably in the rooms while resting. They have a bunch of amenities at the lobby, you could make tea, coffee, get some ice cream and bring them to your rooms. The breakfast and dinner were very delicious. You need reservations for meals since the seats are limited.

Staying here alone was an absolute dream! The room had kimonos for some great photo ops, and the private onsen bath was incredibly relaxing. Every dish of the Kaiseki dinner was a work of art – so delicious I almost danced with joy. I felt so well taken care of from check-in to check-out. It's truly introvert-friendly, no awkwardness at all. I'm definitely staying here again on my next visit!

Fantastic location as it’s just at Gora station. The staff are friendly and nice. The meals are good and plentiful. Lots of free snacks and food throughout the day. Highly recommend. Beautiful sunrise from the room.

Our trip so great! They provide everything for you including snacks and fresh set of pajamas every day. The included breakfast and dinner were marvelous as well. The public onsens were awesome. You just need to find a time to go when there are not too many people. We had our dinner during the second shift (at 8pm) so we went to the onsen first, showered, and then went to dinner, which worked out perfectly. The hotel is right next to the train station so it’s very convenient. Highly recommended!

I was extremely satisfied with this hot spring hotel. The Japanese-style design, the entire ambiance, service, and breakfast were all excellent. It's exactly my kind of style and definitely worth recommending.

This ryokan has a very traditional Japanese feel. It's clean, and the hot springs are excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hakone. It's suitable for couples, families with children, or even larger family groups, and it's definitely worth the money.

The service was excellent. The hot springs were very enjoyable. They have different types of hotsprings (regular, carbonic acid, cold). The food was excellent. We were stuffed. The portion was huge and the variety was wide. 
Hygiene was great. The room was spotless and the balcony was very romantic under the moon light. Well worth the money.

The hot spring was incredibly comfortable, and having a private onsen was a real treat. They even offer free ramen in the evenings, though the serving time is quite short, so make sure to check the schedule. Parking at the hotel was very convenient. I heard the room rates are usually quite high, but I booked it on Ctrip for just over 1400.
