The prices along the Yamanote Line have been rising, so I found a hotel on the Sobu Line in Ryogoku that was as cheap as possible and convenient for getting to downtown Tokyo. The hotel was built quite a while ago, and the door keys are old-fashioned and quite charming. I stayed for two nights, and was grateful that the free breakfast was a self-service snack.

Second stay The room is just like the picture, an old-fashioned business hotel But there is a refrigerator, a bathtub, and free breakfast. If you just want a place to sleep, it's a good deal.

Cost-effective? Soso for Tokyo But is the service good? That's not it again It's not even a university dormitory. There is a limit to what time you must come in at night. However, if you are really in a hurry, I think it would be okay to write here.

Convenient location, but there's train noise!

The room was well-furnished and reasonably furnished. The bathroom and toilet were a bit small but still had everything you needed. Access was convenient with a QR code (simply take a photo and save the QR code). The railway noise was a little bothersome on the first day, but became less noticeable over the next two days. The earplugs provided by the hotel weren't very useful.

For a group of three in Tokyo's Akihabara, the room offered good value for money, and the service and location were excellent. However, as it's located directly above train tracks, it might not be suitable for light sleepers, as train noise is constant. The main reason for this trip was to take the Odakyu Line to Hakone in the morning. The hotel is very close to Shinjuku Station, which is convenient, and I could easily go out for a stroll in the evening. The room was spacious, with a separate shower and toilet, and the bathroom was large. The hotel even gave me complimentary food upon check-in. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance

The neighborhood being what it is, it's still noisy even on the top floor. The windows are boarded up, so it smells damp, and the bathroom fixtures are old. However, there's a good supply of little goodies for play (from hoods to beauty masks to even a hair tie for the wife). The staff is competent, even if they're not visible.

Good for family stay, away from city a bit but still able to access underground train

This is a very affordable capsule hotel. It’s located near several train lines, making it very easy to travel. The staff are friendly and eager to help. However, I stayed here from late December to early January and noticed the rooms were freezing, as if the heater wasn't turned on. It was actually painful to try to fall asleep.

Chiyoda city is a good point to travel around tokyo and the hotel is right in the spot close to metro and bus stations. This place has everything you need and is comfy. You cannot expect to have a full fledged hotel room experience and put low rating. If you want that kinda of experience go to a expensive hotel instead. Perfect for manga lovers! Mostly recent manga. Good selection of manga in English! Sleep-wise, the capsule was a comfortable, run-of-the-mill pod. It does get a little stuffy in the capsule, but they have mini fans at the front desk you can grab and use. Be careful of the low shelves and sharp corners, I bumped my head a couple times. If you love manga, totally worth it to stay a couple nights.

I had booked a non-smoking room and was shown to a room that was definitely a non-smoking room, but the moment I opened the door, I was hit with the smell of cigarettes, which was very unpleasant (maybe it was originally a smoking room...).
