Sakura Hotel Jimbocho - Hostel, Tokyo1 / 30
8.4
Tokyo, 2-21-4 Kanda Jimbocho Chiyoda-ku (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
It was a nice hostel. I had a private room and there was breakfast in the morning. They are selling a Tokyo subway pass in the reception, which was great. You can also sit outside. It is great when it is warm inside or when it is raining. Unfortunately the next building was renovated, so noise in the morning.
Four of us shared a room, and we were all very considerate, so there was no noise. The room was clean and tidy. The front desk service was excellent. Breakfast was a bit simple, but the location was fantastic, and they even offer luggage storage!
The best thing about this hostel is its excellent location. After a concert at Tokyo Dome, it was an easy walk back. I knew booking a hostel meant sacrificing some sleep, but it really depends on your roommates. My bunkmate was rummaging through their luggage until 1 AM. Also, on the other side of the wall in the basement, there was a constant machine hum almost all night long – I'm not sure if it...
Conveniently located within walking distance to Tokyo Dome, perfect for concerts.
Everything related to this hotel was excellent..
The room was so big and clean !everything was good the downside is you need to rent a towel for 100yen .because i dont want to go back again at another building which is the reception is there i use a face towel instead.me and friends stay there but if i will have a chance again i would like to comeback .by the way they have a toast ,soup and coffee for free .

Okay, the price is fair for the facilities provided. The hygiene is good, and the environment is decent. The service attitude is also nice. Keep up the good work!
everything good but far from Tokyo station more than I expected lol, good for solo travelers
I felt relaxed when I stay this hotel for two nights in Tokyo, it is clean, and the room is comfortable. Moreover, their service is splendid.
Hotels functioned as close-knit communities and were situated a short walking distance from the train station.
The location was convenient. However, the hotel itself was tired and could have been cleaner. Check-out was at 10:00, which was also not very convenient. Additionally, guests were only allowed to leave their luggage until 12:00 after check-out.
Hotel so far is good if u are in a budget. Great location easy access to hotspot and also to nrt airport

Tokyo, Bakurocho 1-7-20, Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Standard japanese hotel, with very accessible subway nearby and multiple convenience stores nearby for a good late night supper.
Would be better if they are providing baggage deposit after check out
This is one of the most frequently booked hotel brands, and it's affordable, convenient, and generally clean.
Location was ok and also really quiet. Poorly there was no breakfast room, you had to pick it up from the entrance and it was every day the same, even no coffee. Windows are not well sealed, which makes it a bit cold in winter.
The hotel is in a very convenient location. Close to several subway stations and near convenience stores. There is key card access to enter the room, but you don’t need to tap the card to select floors in the elevator, so the security feels a bit less strict. The room was clean, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job. The front desk staff are foreigners and can speak English sometimes, but...

Ikebukuro Royal Hotel Higashiguchi, Tokyo1 / 15

Tokyo, 1-17-2 Minami-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
It's close to the downtown area, making it easy to find places to eat, but it can be a bit noisy outside at night. The bathroom door had a strange design that brushed against the sink, which was a bit disappointing. It's fine for business use, though.
The room was bigger than expected, only the toilet was a bit small, but Japanese hotels do, so no way. But it was comfortable, so I will consider staying next time I come to Tokyo! The 2nd floor has free coffee, microwave, etc., early arrival can sit down and wait, supper can be downstairs lawson buy up to eat, very convenient. The staff is very nice although they work very according to the rules.
We booked two single rooms. One room was cancelled two days prior. We were able to pay on the day of arrival, and only for one room. It was a lifesaver! We also enjoyed the free breakfast and drinks. Thank you very much! 🙇‍♀️
I only stayed at the hotel and didn't order any meals. There were convenience stores within dozens of meters of the hotel, which was very convenient! It wasn't like a particularly noisy or chaotic area. It was also about 100 meters from Seibu Department Store and 200-300 meters from Ikebukuro Station, very convenient!
Very good, the hallway is a little narrow but the room is very spacious, the air conditioning is very warm and comfortable ☺️
The location of the hotel is very convenient, but the elevator and the hallway to the room are both quite narrow, making it a bit difficult to move large luggage. Also, the soundproofing might be too weak for some people as there is an ambulance siren sound. Aside from these issues, everything else is OK. 👍

Tokyo, 2-5-2 Taito (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Great, very convenient for transport, I always stay here whenever I visit Akihabara.
The room was tiny and the facilities were very outdated. The wall sockets were so loose that it was almost impossible to charge anything. However, it was quite affordable and conveniently located.
Most hotels in Japan are pretty similar. The 10 AM checkout is a bit inconvenient, but everything else was fine. The location is okay, though a little far from Tokyo Station. I forgot to take pictures, but it was decent overall, so I'll give it a good review.
First time experiencing a fire escape... that was certainly a unique experience... The fact that the door doesn't automatically lock when you close it is a bit annoying, otherwise, it's pretty standard Livemax quality.
If discount ok, walking distance to aki and in the hotel area , there is a fish ramen , super good ! Hotel room clean , all ok with price ❌No luggage storage ( this services need to improve ❌)
Although it's a bit far from the station, there are quite a few dining options nearby. The room is small but has everything you need.

Good place! Thank you very much! Comfortable and convenient! The only problem was to change place after one night. We needed to make new check-in and come earlier than we planned.
Tokyo-W-Inn-Asakusa is a nice place to stay. My bed was clean. There is a great view of Tokyo Skytree from the lounge room. There is free coffee and tea. Value for money. Great location. Level6 lounge good fir some break
Overall is clean and good for short stay. Got personal space with curtain cover, mirror side rack and lamp. So lucky we got quiet roommates. Amenities: washing machine 300yen and dryer 100 yen per time, but dryer not so effective. We took 2 times to dry but still not that dry.

Tokyo, 1-chome-16-9 Hamamatsucho (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Extremely close to the subway station, and getting to the airport is also very convenient. Once I got the hang of the Japanese subway system, this location became incredibly convenient.
Aside from the small room, everything else was great. The transportation around the hotel is very convenient, with both Hamamatsucho Station and Daimon Station nearby. There are also plenty of convenience stores like 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson, as well as ramen shops, so dining options are abundant. The surrounding area isn't noisy, and you can even see Tokyo Tower from the hotel's rooftop.
Conveniently located with plenty of convenience stores nearby. The hotel is quiet and offers views of the Tokyo Tower. The beds are comfortable and the facilities are comprehensive. Highly recommended!
The room isn't huge, but it's perfect for a solo traveler. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around. You can see the Tokyo Tower everywhere nearby 🗼, and the area is safe, quiet, and pleasant.
The hotel is really close to Daimon Station, just a five-minute walk, and the nearest exit has an elevator, which is super convenient. The room isn't huge; you can't quite lay out two 28-inch suitcases flat. The bathroom isn't the typical Japanese style; there's no bathtub, just a shower. They offer amenities on the first floor, and you can see Tokyo Tower from the rooftop.
Only a 30-minute ride to Haneda Airport. You can see Tokyo Tower right when you step out of the building. There are cafes and convenience stores nearby, and the room was very clean with excellent water pressure. Highly recommend staying here!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel is located close to the Asakusa Temple, which makes it a very convenient place to stay. We will definitely choose this hotel again the next time we come to Tokyo.
The location is not good, far from the subway station, and there is nothing to eat around. The room was full of hair when the quilt was lifted, and the room design was unreasonable
Except for the small room, everything else is satisfactory. It is very convenient to travel. There is ice water, hot water and self-service coffee machine on the first floor. I had a surprisingly pleasant stay at this hotel and found it to be great value for money. I would say this is a solid three-star hotel, but the excellent value pushes it closer to four stars. My room was about 5,000 yen per night, so for only about 2,000 yen more than a hostel or capsule hotel, you can stay here and get a private room and your own shower, which is well worth it. This may very well...
Within 10 minutes walking distance from Kasai Metro Station and Airport Limousine. There is Lawson Convenience Store which operates 24hrs right beside the hotel and many other eateries store along the stretch. 24hrs Front Desk service. Small as usual and as expected. Mattress had strange stains under the sheet though. Only one coin laundry machine. My partner and I stayed here for the first 4 nights of our trip around Japan. The location is a continent 10-12 minute walk from Shinagawa station so we had no problem getting to wherever we needed to get to. Staff on site at reception are very friendly and happy to help 2 anything. There are washing machines and dryers on site which really helped out a lot!
Location of the inn is great! Right next to a konbini and a mart. There are izakayas and cafés nearby as well. Kitashinagawa station is just ahead, and Shinagawa Station is 10 minute walk away. Amenities were tolerable for a 3 star hotel. The heater is not very effective. Otherwise, toilet, TV, microwave are OK. Good Cleanliness. Service was OK. Staff helped to carry my luggage. Check-in was OK...
Great location to the Shinagawa station nearest walking hotel ever! Easy check out process just leave the keys and go
I stayed here in April when I went to Tokyo, and it was super convenient. It's about a 12-minute walk from Shinagawa Station, but if you're going from Kita-Shinagawa Station, it's just a few minutes. Getting to Haneda Airport directly from Kita-Shinagawa only takes about 25 minutes, which is incredibly handy. There are several supermarkets nearby, and a breakfast bakery and coffee shop right next door...
Really nice hotel just few meters away from Kitashinagawa subway station. Really peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Little old but very clean and good smelling rooms. surrounding markets get close early and you can’t find any restaurant or shops late night, just family mart next to hotel.
The staff is super friendly and helpful, really great young team 😊

It was great that it was so close to the city center. It's a 10-minute walk from Kiba Station on the subway, and it's a little hard to find as it's not on a main street. The building is old, but there's a microwave in the room so it's very functional.
I had a great stay at a reasonable price. The room amenities were a bit dated, but everything else was in good condition. The room had all the necessary appliances: a TV, air conditioning, light switches above the bed, a hairdryer, a mini-fridge with a freezer compartment, and even a bathtub. Other than the hard bed, it was nice to have a microwave and a refrigerator in the room! The shower was difficult to adjust...
The hotel had facilities commensurate with the price. The room wasn't large, but it was just right for one person, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the water pressure in the bath and the water temperature in the shower were not stable, so it was difficult to take a bath.
Since I was only staying overnight, I didn't use the facilities, but I think the room was worth the price.
Good place, big rooms and very spacious for couples and families. Only one problem is they had a key type locking system,no access cards, so only one key will be given by front desk staff.

A tad small, but super convenient transportation-wise. Great value for money for a solo traveler.
Close to the station, which was really convenient. The hotel was clean, hygienic, comfortable, and cozy. It had a bathtub and all the necessary toiletries. The service was excellent. Getting around by train was easy, and there were plenty of restaurants right outside. Super convenient!
The room is tiny. If you open a 29-inch suitcase, the door basically can't open fully, or at best, only half-open. The window doesn't open. The bathroom has a deep bathtub, which is a plus. However, the hotel's Wi-Fi is very unstable, and breakfast is a really unappetizing bento box with a drink. On the other hand, the location is genuinely good. It's very close to the Asakusabashi exit, and there...
Even before check-in, I was able to leave my luggage at the front desk. Check-out was super convenient. The hotel is very close to the station and a straight shot to get there. There's a Matsuya nearby, making dining easy. Plus, there's a FamilyMart right across the street with delicious fried chicken and milk!
The facilities are a bit old, and some areas weren't cleaned very well, with some stains. The location is excellent, very close to the station, and there are many dining options downstairs. The bedding is just average; the blanket seems to be reused and not changed between guests, directly exposed, which doesn't feel very hygienic. The only thing I have to tell is that the place was dim and it could be a little bit spooky, but everything was good enough for its price. The place is a little bit far from the train station and the nearest exit of the station has no elevator.
The hotel is right next to a busy subway line, so some noise is unavoidable. However, if you close the window, most of the sound is blocked out. This is a self-check-in and check-out hotel by design. The subway station mentioned in the hotel's name is actually about a 10-minute walk away, but there's another subway station very close by. There are also izakayas and convenience stores in the vicinity
Good value hotel and the breakfast was good. Close to train stations so it is easy to get to either airport. Although there are train lines nearby I did not notice any noice

Here's my personal take: First, you have to climb stairs to reach the hotel front desk. This is really inconvenient if you have large luggage. This hotel might be in a good location for those who use the train, but since I came by car, finding parking was a real hassle, and the parking fees were quite high. At night, it felt a bit unsafe, possibly due to being in a busy entertainment district.
