The Little Garden, Miyazaki1 / 30

Not only are the rooms and shared kitchen clean, but the ocean view is absolutely beautiful. Since it faces east, the view of the full moon rising was especially stunning.
The location is very good and reasonable. The location is inconvenient, but if you have a car it's not a problem.
Very clean and friendly staff. Relaxed vibe
Fantastic view. Very accommodating and friendly host. Good for those who want to meet new friends.
1. The hotel is located on a mountain and is difficult to reach by public transportation. It is not recommended to stay if you are not driving by yourself. There are ample parking spaces. 2. The room is a simple B&B with ok sanitary conditions and not many facilities. It requires a shared bathroom/kitchen/non-disposable slippers (this is something I personally care about) 3. There are not too many...
You have to drive your own car to reach the hotel, but the hotel facilities are very good. There is a garden outside the door for BBQ. The hotel rooms are clean and there is a kitchen where you can cook your own meals. The place is spacious and it is a good choice if you like to prepare your own meals.

Good base after finished hiking in Yakushima - not far from bus stop and Anbo port - room is comfortable
The Auberge Hotel in Anbo Port was very convenient. 1) Very close to the port 2) Nearby supermarket 3) Nearby bus stop for the museum and hikes to Jomon Sugi or Yamato Sugi 4) Friendly staff 5) Authentic Japanese hotel with German quality, 3 futons, a spacious large room on the first floor (there were 11 more rooms on the second floor). The hotel owner is very friendly and helpful, always ready to help with any questions. The rooms are clean.
It's a pretty good hotel on the island, close to the supermarket and pier. The owner is incredibly helpful and can assist with many things.

A bit old, located at a "going out" distric, the smell of tobacco was present. Nonetheless it was clean and conveniently located with the bus terminal close by. Is not a bad place but can do with some renovation
It was conveniently located in the city center, great for sightseeing, and also had breakfast available.
I used it as a business hotel. I would like to use it again.
Courteous service, clean place, good location
There are many restaurants near this hotel, near the shop street. The hotel has a cooperative parking lot for 1,500 yen per night. This is the first time for our family to check in. Although the front desk staff did not speak English, they explained to us patiently and had a good service attitude. The room was small and the bathroom was small, but clean. We are quite satisfied with this price.
Parking expensive. My booking check in time 11pm,had to pay extra $200 to early check in.

It's quite convenient to just find a place to sleep at night.
There are some old parts here and there, but considering the price and location, it's not a big deal. The rooftop terrace was nice.
The hostel is very clean, reception staff very friendly and professional. Location right in the centre inside the market. Only problem the rooms are adjoining, there are draughts. I was cold all night because of the air conditioning in the room next door. Also the person in the room next to mine was snoring very loudly and despite the earplugs I could not sleep. Apart from that, if you don't have...
The location is inside the shopping street, so it's quite easy to find. However, cash only, which is a bit inconvenient. The pillow was too low, so I didn't sleep well. Overall, it was pretty good, and I might choose this place again in the future.
Thank you for staying with us for two nights! It was a very open atmosphere, and the dormitory space was well-maintained! There are many restaurants around the inn, so we were able to enjoy some island cuisine!
High cost-effectiveness and cheap housing prices! The location is very good, on the second and third floors of a building on Souvenir Street, with many restaurants nearby, and a 5-minute walk to the bus terminal that goes directly to the airport. The landlord is very friendly. I came to run the Ishigaki Marathon, and it is 2 kilometers away from the starting point sports center, which is very convenient...

The hygiene is good, and the front desk service and facilities are excellent; it's highly recommended.
Check-in was easy, and we were given a free bottle of tea or water as a drink. There was a convenience store nearby, and it was easy to stay there, as it was close to 58 and Kokusai Street. The room was equipped with a washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, microwave, cooking utensils, etc. There was no detergent for laundry, so you had to prepare your own. I would like to use it again when I stay in...
There is a washing machine and dryer, which is convenient. It's nice that the toilet and bathroom are separate, but the bathtub is small. There is a high-efficiency cooking heater, but it appears to be designed for gas and there are no outlets nearby. There was a slight smell in the room. There was trash piled up around the entrance on the first floor, blocking the stairs.
The place is new, room is spacious, equipped with complete amenities like kitchenette, washer, dryer. Not the nearest to monorail station, but the walking distance was acceptable, maybe about 5 min. Very close to the parking lot, so driving is convenient.
Great place near the port and around 7 min from Mieibashi. Feels like a small apartment room to be honest, in a good way. The place is run by a nice chinese couple ( I think) so talking them to in English, Chinese and Japanese is possible. The rooms have microwaves and a kitchen as well so cooking is also possible. Near kokusai-dori as well.
Good location and quite cheap.

Wonderful staff and effective system. I speak Japanese so I don't know how English-friendly it is on whole.
For the price, the place is great. The location is superb. Very close to the monorail station, shopping street, food joints and bars. You get good breakfast included in the package. The place is neat and clean and people are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.
Nice staff, clean establishment and useful things like towels, toothbrushes and etc are provided. It is really cheap especially for the good location
I got to eat curry for breakfast. Stayed at their place. They were incredible.

It was amazing, everything me and my boyfriend went was close by, just that the bed was a bit too hard but still comfy!!!
It was a one-story house for five men, and the parking lot was right next to the room, making it convenient for sightseeing in central Okinawa.
We love the BIN! VAULI will return for Japanese tour. Bin 4 lyf
My family of three stayed here. It was refreshing to see that the interior door led directly from the parking space, and the fact that the parking space had no roof was a mystery and interesting. (Maybe because the entire building was renovated from a former love hotel?) The washing machine was very convenient, and they even provided detergent. (The dryer was 100 yen.) Room cleaning is not provided...

This guesthouse makes you feel like you're back home. You can even use the washing machine, so it's just the right environment for you. It's located between the city center and the airport, and there are buses running about twice an hour, but if you have a rental car it's no problem. The owner is a wonderful, warm-hearted person.
The building is close to the bus stop called "Basuki na yo" ("Don't forget me" in Ishigaki dialect), but it is far from the center of Ishigaki. If you rent a car, it should not be a problem. The people at the guesthouse were very kind.
I was looking for a cheap hotel close to the airport. From the airport, take the number 4 bus from bus stop A, and get off at the fourth stop, "Basuki Naayo"? (I don't really understand what it means, so I can't remember it ^^;) It took less than 10 minutes, and it cost 210 yen to get off. When I got off the bus from the airport at night, it was pitch black and I couldn't find the hotel along the road...
I checked in around noon, because unexpected plan changing and I went directly from the airport. Obaa (the grandmother) welcomed me with shimasoba (local noodles.) Maybe because few people are traveling now, I could use a room with private entrance, kitchen and bath. Everything is clean and well equipped. The place is convenient, 10 min from the airport and 20min from the downtown. The place suits...
It was very nice and comfortable. We were treated to mangoes from my grandmother's farm and Yaeyama soba noodles.
I stayed there the next day because it was near the airport to head to Yonaguni Island. It was cheap so I should have just slept, but the room was clean and very nice! The inn was also a simple local person and I felt good. I would like to use it again.

Decent comfy apartment, very close to a big familymart and yui rail station. Nice view from the balcony and friendly staff!
Hotels in Okinawa are quite expensive during the summer vacation, so I chose this family room because I was traveling with children and an elderly family member. It was spacious, had a kitchen and refrigerator, and was conveniently located near Don Quixote.
The traditional Japanese residential layout is spacious and feels like living in a home straight out of a Japanese drama. It's a bit dated, but that's acceptable. The price is also very affordable. It's convenient for travelers visiting the prefectural square.
I have stayed here for the third time in a row. The location is convenient. Although it is old, it is very clean. The service staff is very friendly. I have stayed in the same room twice in a row. It really makes me feel at home.
I like it very much. It is clean and comfortable. They are serious about running the hotel.

I visited solely to use the hot spring. For a very reasonable fee of 500 yen, you can enjoy a high-quality, iron-rich onsen. The view of the sun setting over the ocean from the open-air bath was truly unforgettable. The facilities themselves are simple, but the quality of the water, the temperature, and the scenery combined to create a memorable experience. From start to finish, I was the only guest...
Day trip visit on November 16, 2025 Fee: ¥500 Excellent onsen. You can see the Kagoshima on a clear day. Iron mineral smell and sweet taste. Soap and shampoo available. Hair dryer available. Make sure to get your 88 Hot Springs of Kyushu stamp. Very kind owner.
The location is fantastic, with views of the volcano from the roadside and the bay from the window. The open-air bath at the seaside has rusty-smelling yellow water, but the iron (Fe) inorganic salts are beneficial for wound healing. The chef is an elderly woman who makes excellent home-style dishes; if you're allergic to seafood, you can substitute the sashimi for black pork cutlet. For backpackers...
It's located 10-15 minutes by car from the pier. Knowing the bus schedule in advance makes it a great place to rest after your trip. It's a quiet and relaxing place. The hotel owner is incredibly friendly and kind. And the electric bike rentals are 6,000 won per hour, which is cheaper than the pier itself. For those who want to hike, it's a good idea to arrive at Sakurajima Island early, take a bus...
A nice ryokan that you can actually visit without a car! The bus schedule is not on Google Maps. I used the Japanese site qbus.jp to input 桜島港 to 文学碑前 which is the stop in front of the hotel. I attached the timetable where the bus departs from Sakurajima port (as of December 2023). This bus is not the sightseeing bus so the operators might not speak English. If you don’t have an IC card you need to...
Encountering a lot of bugs may change the situation. The equipment is very old, there is no sound insulation at all, and nothing seems to be updated or repaired. The above general transitional accommodation is still barely acceptable. But the dust, cobwebs, and bathroom hygiene are daunting... The quality of the hot springs is excellent.

Fantastic hotel! It's right by the Sakurajima Ferry, and you can even see Sakurajima Volcano from your room. It's also really close to Kagoshima Station, with a tram and bus stop right outside. Super convenient for getting anywhere!
Small and simple room but easily reachable from the train station. There’s a big supermarket directly in front of the hotel which is great.
Friendly service from staff Strategic location and opposite is the supermarket and Kagoshima Aquarium
Nice room with the view of sakurajima island in some room direction. Room is nice and good for the price. Only drawback is although close to Kagoshima station, it’s a quite location and you need to walk 5 mins to convenient stores. Restaurant is also limited and close early.
Spacious room in comparison with standard japanese hotels, everything was very clean and it was quiet
Very conveniently located close to the tram (which goes to the location to catch the bus to Kagoshima airport), as well as other places obviously. Stayed here for two nights over the holidays. The room was nice with a view of Sakurajima. Access to the Sakurajima ferry was also good. The room was worth the price. There was a decent coin laundry. Convenience stores were a bit far away on foot. For breakfast, we went to Gusto, which was a three-minute walk away. The parking lot (additional charge) wasn't very large.
The room was clean. The steps to the flooring were high, so you need to be careful when climbing up and down. The large public bath was private and comfortable.
We stayed with our family for just one night. The room was large and had wooden floors. We checked in late, but they laid out our futons and heated the room for us, which we were grateful for. Good location, short walk to city center. Hip and minimalist hotel, creative. Rooms are small, but expected as it looked like it is a refurbished apartment block. No elevator to lobby, be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. Elevator to the rooms can fit 2 with luggage at best, or 4 adults without luggage. All in all, a good place for a quick rest.
The staff were super helpful; the receptionist advised me on the best way to get to mount Aso and provided a map as well. The location is slightly off from the main part of town, but I kinda like it since it’s kinda like an escape from the hustle and bustle. It’s perhaps a 8-10 minutes walk to Toricho-suji which is not bad at all. Made some instant noodles with what they provided and it was great

The toilet was not working in the our room and when I told them about this they asked us to change the room but I paid extra money for that specific room because of the river view and the room they were asking us to move didn't have that view so we had to use always the toilet in the lobby. Other then this everything was good but due to this toilet issue I guess the money I paid was not worth it.
The price is reasonable, considering it's a 7-8 minute walk from the downtown area. The facilities aren't particularly beautiful, but they're relatively good, and are perfect for people looking for a reasonably clean hotel at a reasonable price. There's no TV, but in this internet age, guests are welcome to use the Wi-Fi. While they've cut costs, they offer free services like instant ramen and coffee...

I think the hotel would get a higher rating if the toilets had at least a bidet. I'd even be willing to pay a bit more for that. It's close to the station and offers great value for money.
Nicely located hotel with free Onsen. The rooms are fairly old and mine was once a smoker friendly room, which explains the slight smell of cigarettes and the yellowish walls. It is great that the hotel is located directly in front of the main station, but be aware of outside noise. I still slept like a stone so for the price I can recommend it.
The staff were super helpful. I had lost my watch the day before and they called around the places that I had visited the day before to ask them for me. It's a little bit of an older hotel but if you're travelling solo and cheap I don't think you can complain about this price.
Good emplacement near the station, hotel OK relatively clean. Good point is the free parking. And you can enjoy a good breakfast and great onsen with the hotel just on the other side of the street
The location is very convenient, with a bus stop right across the street, and breakfast is included.
Superb location opposite the station, and kind friendly staff. The bathroom was rather dirty, which was really discomforting but overall I am happy with the convenience of the hotel.

The older gentleman at the front desk was very kind. He offered plenty of welcome drinks and even gave me ice with a glass, which was very thoughtful. I was very pleased and will definitely be returning.

The room was very large. Having lived in Tokyo for so long, the contrast in Kagoshima was striking. The price was reasonable and the room was spacious – I was very satisfied. The lobby offered complimentary water, drinks, and coffee, which was nice. The only slight drawback was that the room had a slightly damp smell.
I stayed here for a friend's wedding. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and it was a wonderful memory! Thank you!

We ordered transfer to airport 18.00, but they did not understand. So we ended up having to book our own taxi last minute to get to the airport which was stressful. Rooms are nice. There are free bikes to use at the property. Location is quite good.
The location is great. It was also easy to get to Irabu Island. The room was larger than I expected, and I was able to spread my suitcase out on the shelf below the wall-mounted TV. The bathroom only has a shower. If I had one request, it would be that the shower head be replaced... Bikes are also available for free rental if available. And they're available until check-out. I’ve just completed a three night stay at the Hotel Miyakojima. I arrived at the airport and took a taxi (1700 yen one way) and checked in.
