Reviews
We had to extend our stay due to weather and the staff was extremely accommodating to multiple updates and changes, ensuring we had a room and accommodations, and the General Manager was extremely attentive to fix an issue I had, incliding following up after we left in an above and beyond way.
I also want to specially shout out the Kids Club staff. My son (9) loved it, begged to go everyday, and they were so sweet and kind to him. As a single mom who ended up having to work due to the unexpected weather delay I TRULY appreciated this amazing perk.
The TL;DR: DO NOT GO
I’m not saying this because I’m opposed to timeshares in general. The issue here is that the staff do not respect your time, are not transparent, and do not keep their promises.
After arriving by taxi, we were made to wait about 20 minutes just for the “check-in process.” During this time, a staff member asked for our passport and credit card details, which we declined to provide.
We specifically asked when the 90-minute presentation would begin, and were told it would start only after someone came to collect us, which already felt misleading.
The presentation itself was underwhelming. We had been told that breakfast would be included, but instead we were taken to a snack bar. The food didn’t look appetizing, so we ended up just having fruit plates.
Coming from AVA Resort, the property we visited felt like a significant downgrade.
More importantly, they do not respect the 90-minute commitment. Despite us clearly stating that we needed to leave around the 100-minute mark, the process dragged on to nearly two hours. Throughout the presentation, you are passed from one person to another — manager, referral specialist, quality control representative — each repeating the same pressure tactics.
Once the presentation finally ended, we were directed to the gift area. At that point, staff from Tafer Hotels informed us that we would have to wait about 20 minutes for a shuttle back to the resort.
This was particularly frustrating because we were originally promised a taxi both ways. Instead, they attempted to put us on a shared shuttle that would stop at multiple hotels before returning to ours.
After spending nearly three hours at the property dealing with the presentation and waiting for different staff members, we repeatedly asked to switch to a taxi as originally promised. They refused.
Eventually, the shuttle never arrived, and we ended up paying for an Uber ourselves just to get back to the resort.
This brand went from being completely unknown to me to one I will actively avoid in the future. Based on this experience, they cannot be trusted and the service was extremely poor.
While I’m sure that hotel management will respond to this post saying this has nothing to do with the hotel, it certainly does! They permit this group to operate within their hotel and the sales is FOR the hotel.
Avoid this brand if you can.
The rooms were amazing—large, modern, with comfortable beds, a great shower, and even heated toilet seats! The service was five-star. Every staff member was courteous and attentive. We never went more than a minute at the beach or pool without a server asking if we needed anything. The restaurants were the same—exceptional service all around.
No one ever specifically asked for a tip, but we always tipped extra, and it was genuinely appreciated by the staff.
We were especially impressed by the activities team, who did a fantastic job getting the teenagers (and adults) involved each day—pickleball, beach soccer, water park race contests, and more. It was a great environment for teens.
The food was very good with no complaints. This was our first all-inclusive experience, so it’s hard to compare, but we were extremely happy.
*never asked or pressured to buy a membership like some reviews say.
We give it a full five stars!
Unfortunately very lengthy check in and check out service with mis sold tour of property that we assumed was to plan our holiday and was actually a sales pitch. Lots of mistakes on check out invoice. Luggage was not brought down to lobby despite several requests and then late for transport to airport. Pool was cold.
Overall, we stayed in four different hotels, and the customer service at the others was amazing.
I loved Hyatt Ziva — 10/10, highly recommended. We will definitely return. You get exactly what you pay for.
