Hotel Vent-I-Mar in Can Picafort

I only had dinner here. And I would've shared my discontent with staff when asked, but they never bothered to do so. So here goes, Google Reviews.

Ordered spareribs and nuggets from the children's menu. First order of business of course is bread.

Dry slices of bread. No butter, no dip. We should've left then and there. But hey, the kids are hungry and they aren't picky.

Next up: the most tasteless spareribs I've had in my life. With an average BBQ sauce that I'm guessing wasn't homemade. Which may have been for the best.

At no point did the staff ask if we enjoyed the meal. I suppose they knew the answer already. Or they wanted to save us the discourtesy of either sharing our honest opinion or having to lie about it. Sorry, you must be used to German or British tourists.

When I *walked* to the counter to pay with food still on the table that should've given you pause and maybe ask if we were satisfied, but no. Instead you asked, "do you want ice cream for dessert?"

Take a hint, buddy. The only reason you're getting two stars is that I haven't gotten food poisoning. And since I'm typing this one hour after dinner that conclusion is still pending.

By far the unfriendliest staff I have ever encountered, as well as the worst pizza. We had pasta with seafood that tasted like ketchup, a pizza, and two Fanta drinks. The Fanta tasted like salt water, the pizza was rubbery and cold, and I got severe food poisoning after eating the pasta. When we told the staff that we didn't want to pay $70 for something so DISGUSTING, the lady just yelled at us and didn't even listen to us. Then the chef came out and said that he had apparently prepared these things fresh 20 minutes ago. Who believes that?🥴
Then they called the police and told us we had to pay. So we paid.

I read the reviews above and saw a kind of scam: they make horrible food and charge exorbitant prices for it, and if you point something out to them, they just yell at you and want your money. I cannot recommend it and sincerely hope that the staff tries their own food and gets food poisoning just like I did.

We visited the hotel’s restaurant, and if I could, I would give them zero stars for this place on the beach.
First of all, they brought me a cola that tasted like it had been open for four months, just with some ice added.
Second, we ordered two portions of paella: mine with chicken and my wife’s with seafood.

The chicken paella was basically just a plate full of rice with only three tiny chicken legs – more suitable for a child than an adult. But in my wife’s paella, she actually found a hair in the food. When we confronted the waiters, they simply took the dish away and then came back with the bill, telling us it wasn’t human hair but something from the mussels. Either I’m blind, or they really don’t know what mussels look like.

In the end, when we refused to pay for the paella, they insisted that we had to – or we could take it with us. To make things even worse, one of the waiters told us: “You wouldn’t have finished it anyway, because you already had soup before.” I was honestly in shock.

I am extremely disappointed with both the food and the staff, and I strongly do not recommend this restaurant.

This was the worst restaurant we could have gone to. First, they served us Coke without bubbles, which tasted terrible (I’m sure they replace regular Coke with a cheap substitute). Then I was served paella with a lovely addition—a long black hair. When I pointed this out, they took the dish away. I had eaten less than half, yet they still charged me. When I said I wasn’t going to pay, two waiters came over and insisted it was a mussel. When I wanted to take the plate back to take a photo, they brought the food in a box, now without the hair. It’s kind of funny, but I definitely do not recommend this place. P.S. We ended up paying for the dish.

We ate at the restaurant as it is a convenient location… absolute waste of time and money.
We were a bigger group and somehow the place managed to disappoint all of us. There is not a single meal I would recommend from here plus the waiters are aware too of the poor food quality therefore once the got you in and you ordered they aim to stay far away as they are well aware ppl will complain….

Of course they would not adjust the price even when out of their own fault they can not serve - from the kids menu and they cannot give the dessert part ( it should me main, ice cream and drink) and you are still have to pay full kids many price although part of the package is missing from their own fault .
