Globales Santa Lucia Hotel Adults Only +18 in Palma Nova

We have just returned from Globales Santa Lucia in. Palma Nova we booked this hotel for it's locations it's right on the beach. My advice book a room on the right hand side of the building as you look at the front of the hotel they get the sun. We were on the left hand side and to be honest the manager if the hotel moved us two days later which we were truly greatful for. We found the manager was very on the ball and great customer service but the other reception staff were helpful and quite short with us when the manager wasn't around. My wife asked to borrow a pen and she received a short reply back no! The restaurant staff were great as was the cleaners too. But my advice would be change the menu during the week from pork and fish to beef and lamb, I understand they are more expensive to buy but it's better than your guests having to pay to eat out like we did three times during the week due to lack of choice. Also provide blue cheese and palma ham during the week too and get rid of the cheap ice cream it's awful. But other then that it was great and great staff in your restaurant too they work hard and you should be proud of them maybe a bit more training for your front if house reception being a bit more helpful and customer focused. It wasn't just the pen situation either it was also general questions, they were very short in there answers back like we were being a pain to them. Thanks for a great stay and good holiday overall.

Excellent location but unfortunately that is the only good point. Not enough sun beds, only half have mattresses, these are not even that comfortable. Not enough area around pool for sun loungers, all on top of each other so hotel takes too many people for the area allocated to seating area.If you want a lounger then you will need to queue at 7am to make sure you get one, then be ready for the stampede. Food, well you must be a vegetarian to stay in this hotel, they seem to forget that most people like Good Meat. Even when they do put meat, although most times you would not know what it was but luckily there is a notice to let you know. Food is always cold, really shocking. Most of the staff are very nice. This Hotel is rated 4star, that is a joke. Three star at the most.
You can get a beach towel at a charge, if you wish to change it they charge 1euro to wash it, never heard of this in my life. 80 euro for safe for two weeks, you then receive 10euro back, shocking price.
All inclusive drinks are all Spanish, cheap nasty rubbish. If you wish a brand make it will cost you 4.95 euro per drink. Please think carefully before you spend a considerable amount of money on this hotel thinking you will get 4 star treatment.

Just home from a week's all inclusive stay with my parents and 19 yr old daughter. Hotel is in a great location, close to beaches on both sides of hotel and to shops and bars. Perfect for my parents. The snack bar at pool was OK.. staff not the friendliest apart from the girl cooking.. she had the patients of a saint which I witnessed, with the elderly folk trying to order. Lovely girl. The restaurant was always busy.. lots of cues for food, especially the grill side. Food not very warm. There was a microwave with you can use. We spent our days up on the terrace as the poolside was too cramped and busy. If my parents were on there own, they would had have to climbed the steps alone to go down to the snack bar. Maybe a service which came up every now and then to fetch them drinks or snacks would be an idea. I overheard 4 elderly people complain about not being able to get a sunlounger at pool, they did see towels reserved on beds for a long time. As my parents are elderly, I had to get up early to reserve sunbeds with padding for them and also another elderly lady who joined us on the terrace every day. A lift going up to terrace would be a good idea, also padding on all the sunbeds. We enjoyed the entertainment each evening. Rooms very good, the cleaners, we found, were the friendliest . Always smiling and said hello. More staff on in the bar at night would be good.
