Reviews
I recently stayed at Caprici Beach Hotel from July 29 to August 4, 2025, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn potential guests.
From the outset, my expectations for a four-star hotel were not met. Although my initial impression of the sea-view rooms (210 and 208) was positive, that quickly changed after a night filled with severe insect bites in room 208. The lack of urgency and concern from the reception staff when I reported this issue was alarming. Despite an inspection that found no bedbugs, we felt unsafe and uncomfortable in our room.
Instead of a suitable resolution, we were moved to room 124, which overlooked the parking lot and rubbish bins—far from the luxurious experience promised. The manager's response was both abrupt and rude, offering only the choice between an inferior room or leaving without a refund. This is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one boasting a four-star rating.
From room 214, we could see mattresses left outside, indicating that bedbugs may indeed be an issue. Even an employee admitted to having encountered bedbugs at the hotel before.
To add insult to injury, the receptionist had the audacity to claim that our room was considered a sea view. If we bent over the balcony, we could just about see the sea, but this is hardly what one expects from a "sea-view" room.
The problems in room 124 were numerous, including:
- Squeaky beds that disrupted sleep.
- Mold on the ceiling.
- A loose toilet, broken toilet roll holder.
- Noisy surroundings due to proximity to the elevator, bins, kitchen and recycling of glass bottles.
- Early morning disturbances from staff.
- A malfunctioning TV that remained unrepaired.
- General uncleanliness.
Despite being in a great location, if you choose the half-board option, be aware that the restaurant does not overlook the pool or beach; it is in the basement with no windows, resembling a canteen. The staff working there were lovely, but if you have dietary restrictions, there are no options. The meals are repetitive, lack variety, and the quality of food was average (we are pescatarians, so we cannot comment on the meat meals).
For over €3,000, I expected a comfortable and high-standard stay. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Additionally, the outdoor facilities were poorly managed, with no enforcement of pool rules, leading to an unpleasant atmosphere.
I have made a formal complaint to the hotel, both on paper and by email, but have not received a reply. I witnessed many other customers expressing their dissatisfaction at the reception, only to be met with the same rude treatment. The staff’s claim that “we have never had any complaints before” is simply untrue.
I wish I had read the reviews thoroughly before booking, as I now see numerous negative experiences from other guests.
In summary, unless you're willing to risk a disappointing experience, I strongly recommend seeking accommodations elsewhere.
Evenings in hotel terrace bar were very interesting with lots of live music.
Thank you Caprici for the great holidays! ❤️
Our stay started badly — we arrived late due to a delayed flight, and no dinner or even a glass of water was offered. The room was run-down, not very clean, with just one power outlet and a leaking fridge. It was also much smaller than advertised. The food was repetitive and poor quality — the sausages were worse than pet food, and all the cakes tasted the same. There were barely any activities or entertainment, and we were not even offered a takeaway meal on departure day.
The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. I’m very disappointed and **definitely do not recommend
The hotel is excellent, well located and in a peaceful town.
I just came to ask customers one thing: be respectful with staff, or at least treat them decently, since they work longer for the minimum wage, six days per week, with a delusional bonus for the extra day worked (it's stipulated five days per week for 40hs, but the contract they offer ask you to work one more day "paid"). During the interview with the HR manager, he openly told me that night hours aren't paid. Not to mention the fact that, again, the wage is minimum wage, which, after all, isn't enough to live decently in Spain.
Fortunately I got a better position for a foreign company, but in Spain it's common this almost-slavery situacion. Please: be respectful with the staff, they do their best in horrible conditions
Booked 2 nights hb with friends. Absolutely loved the beachfront location and thought we would have a tranquil stay. However for both nights we could hear our neighbours bedroom activities and screams through the walls. On a plus our room was spacious, clean and tidy. No soap though to wash your hands in the bathroom, no air-conditioning and no tea/coffee facilities which pretty much come a standard for a 4 star hotel.
Breakfast as many have mentioned was the best meal of the day but still not exceptional for the standard the hotel portrays online. Nothing of the standard of food from their Instagram profile was seen! So very disappointing 😞
Bar staff in the afternoon were preoccupied with their phones and everything seemed like an inconvenience to them. I must mention the guy on the bar in the evening who runs around with his tray like a ninja, didn't get his name but we dubbed him baby Tom Cruise. Always a smile and gavr super service.
Sadly I don't think we will return even though the pool and location was fab.
