We had a lovely stay at Hotel Mar Tossa. It’s in centrum and close to the beach. Room was simple and clean. Staff is lovely and helpful, especially Agnes who arranged us an extra night and even though reception was busy she still made time to help us with all our needs. Brilliant for such a low price- pool smaller than expected and a good idea to avoid the fish, however the air con was a life saver and balcony was a good size. I have stayed at this hotel twice. Staff is excellent and very helpful. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The beds are excellent. Parking beneath the hotel is available. The position is excellent as it is close to the Placa de Catalunya and the La Rambla and also the Universitat Metro station.

Me and my husband came on 5.1.2025. to stay here two nights. The hotel is very good located, its literaly in the center of Barcelona. First impresion was amazing. Very kind and fast the receptionist. The room was great, and the hotel isn't far from the train station, making transportation really convenient. This is super important when traveling with kids. The hotel environment is also quite good.

The exterior and communal area are beautiful however the room was below expectations. The only window there was faced a closed off courtyard and had basically no natural light. There was also no kettle for tea or coffee in the room which was disappointing.

I'm basing my 5 stars on the price I paid for my package holiday. It was at the time such a bargain.....but!!!! Lots of large parties of people who had come for the nightlife and party atmosphere,so be prepared for noisy party people arriving back in the early hours.

Transportation is extremely convenient

The front desk service was excellent, and the room was very clean. Still no toothbrush provided, though. Quite a few young people stay at this hotel, and there are lots of activities. The TV is great; you can connect to the internet and browse the web.

My friend and I stayed here to be closer to the city's attractions. The service was great, the hotel's location was excellent, and the rooftop restaurant was fantastic for taking photos. The only minor issue was that the toilet tended to clog easily, but everything else was good.

It was great! Room was clean and modern, and the man on reception was great! Allowed us to check in early (for a small fee) which was fantastic as we landed at 6am from Malta.  Only slight downside was that there was building works going on and we were trying to sleep… but it was 10am haha!  Another downside is the public transport in the area isn’t that great to get to Barcelona centre.

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Urpi. My room was always cleaned every day and the location was near two train stations (10 min). It was near Plaza Major wich has great restaurants and stores.

Nice location, staff could be friendlier

The entire stay was very good in terms of the rooms, both clean and comfortable. The problem was the cafeteria service: it was awful. They didn't serve us on time, and we asked several times, but they made excuses (several waiters, including the manager at the time). A bad experience with the cafeteria, but good with the rooms.

The stay was very pleasant overall, but there are two changes I think would be helpful: The beds are very, very soft and the pillows are as thin as paper. Not all rooms have a refrigerator; only four rooms have one, and when you remove the card, it turns off like everything else.
