Apartment hotel Albatros Family in Salou

We booked a 7-night half-board package at this apartment, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We arrived around 1am, and the staff had kindly saved dinner for us—such a thoughtful gesture that really touched us. The apartment is spotlessly clean, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is varied and delicious. Definitely great value for money!

We love the Albatros Family Hotel. This was our 3rd year here, we’ve already booked for 2026. Rooms spotlessly clean too. All the staff are lovely. Entertainment every night, we especially enjoy Suzzi and Graham, in fact they are the main reasons we keep re-booking, excellent singers who draw in the crowd. Thank you Albatros, see you next year.

Booked this holiday last minute and decided to go self catering. Arrived at 12pm but was aware check in wasn’t til 4pm however our room was ready so was a bonus for us. We was aware before arriving of the €200 deposit. Room was spotlessly clean and with 2 double beds and a sofa bed we wasn’t short of sleeping options. Room was well equipped and had everything you need for self catering. We had a room at the front of the hotel but the noise from the hotels and road did not affect us at all. The hotels location is perfect as the main strip is literally a 5/10 minute walk, however this hotel is located on a hill so if you are not able you might struggle. This was fine for us. All staff seemed friendly and the cleaners did a good job. Local singers in the bar at night for entertainment. Pool area well maintained although I do think it could get crowded in summer as the area isn’t too big. Can not comment on food as we were self catering. All in all a great getaway for us. We would return to this hotel.

Honest Review So we’ve just spent a week here … Breakfast was lovely, although slightly random at times, potato wedges and potato smiles but never these for tea😆 Evening meal we didn’t really enjoy, but it’s just personal taste! We ended up just having pizza, potatoes, pasta every night. Our room was huge ! Really good size. Only down side here was the cleaning of the rooms. Beds were made but never freshly changed unless you stripped them yourself which I ended up doing as the floors were always dirty so I felt like we needed clean sheets. Bathroom got a good clean but the floors didn’t. We had a baby and the floor was filthy pretty much the entire time. And when you got out the shower your feet were filthy again almost instantly. Ants 🐜, don’t leave any food around as these come out in full force but if you do tell reception they get it sorted straight away. Salou is lovely, the beaches are amazing with super clear sea! 🌊 Albatros is a really good base to get around. We visited Tarragona on one of the days using the Bus Plana. You can get a card for bus trips for €10 and if you return it at the end you get €2 back. We had to hire a wheel chair at one point due to my daughters knee injury, we walked down to Drac Beach I think it was called, this shop lets you hire absolutely alsorts. The wheel chair cost me €65 for 6 days hire, you have to put a €100 deposit down but get this back on return. We’ve had a lovely time, I just wish the rooms were cleaned a little better and that the food on an evening had more choice especially for children, no pizza, nuggets, the simple things! Check in takes forever, it’s a really slow process. Make sure you print your hotel voucher as this really does help. Check out is 10am, we weren’t getting picked up by the transfer till 5pm so got an extended room stay for €25 till 3pm which helped massively. Hope this helps! Again it’s all personal taste but this is just how we found it x Oh and the pool is absolutely awfully cold, my baby couldn’t go in it at all so that was a shame on holiday, my eldest did go in as I don’t think older kids tend to feel it as much but again she didn’t last long as she said she felt like she had hypothermia 😆 Bar food is nice we enjoyed that ! Cocktails are lovely too. Also the hill isn’t as bad as people make out, maybe if you struggle with mobility yes but for us it wasn’t a problem.

Absolutely love this place staff are lovely and always feel welcomed back the entertainment is good especially Suzzie Lewin and Graham look forward to 2026 and enjoying them again

a nice hotel, the food was nice, we had dinner and breakfast each day and they have different choices each day so plenty to choose from. the room was bigger than i thought it would be, and also very clean, had a sea view ( room 123 ). room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. staff were friendly enough. though we found the check in a bit of a pain. would have been nice if breakfast was at 7.00 or earlier instead of 8, but that's just a personal thing. pool wasn't the biggest, but did the job nicely, lots of sun loungers around, so if busy would seam crammed. but have loungers away from the pool if you wanted it quieter. entertainment every night. local singers. the hotel itself is on a bit of a hill, but if walking down to beach its a steep walk. buses to excursions and the center just round the corner. but walking into salou center was only 15 mins which is no problem. we would defiantly stay here again if we come back to Salou. also a Mini supermarket over the road, but a bigger one less than 10 mins walk

Fantastic Hotel. Arrived 3 hours before room was available (16.00), allowed to leave luggage in a safe room until available. 4 of us stayed in a brilliant 2 bedroom apartment with sea views, suprised by the big size of the rooms, Everywhere was super clean and tidy, spotless in fact. Room cleaners came in every day. Swimming pool area was on the small side but plenty of loungers around and another area away from the pool with lots of loungers. Pool cleaned and tested every morning. All meals were varied and on a self service buffet style but you could eat as much as you wanted. Use of an indoor multi gym was available. Night time entertainment was provided by local singers which we all enjoyed. Drink prices were very reasonable and the bar staff were excellent and always seemed happy to see you. No safe deposit boxes in the rooms but available at reception. Hotel is situated at the top of a banked area and would not really be suitable for people with walking difficulties. A taxi from the hotel into town was 6euros and well worth it. From hotel to the beach is hard work with loads of steps to go down then back up again. 4 very happy pensioners who came home 2 days ago and have already booked again for next year

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. We just wanted to say it was our first time staying there and just wanted to thank all the staff, everyone was very friendly, helpful and welcoming at reception. Always smiled when we walked passed and greeted us. Hotel food was also very good, lots of choices, deserts and fruits. The swimming pool was clean and the bar was also very good, Quiet just how we like it. Also the Hotel was very clean and the cleaner changed our bins and towels daily which we appreciated. Also the apartment had aircon in every room. Will recommend to friends and we will definately be back again next year!

Hotel is very close to the beach, and a short walk to the strip, so many shops, restaurants, food and markets, always something to do..hotel also has a gym and a playstation room.

A bit boring breakfast but all other also with cleaning the room on daily basis was quite good actually the view was absolutely stunning in the morning in the afternoons. Room was pretty large. No no doubts about that. What else? What else? There’s there’s not much parking space to be honest on ferry but we always was able to find parking spaces for free around hotel so you don’t have to take directly from the hotel underground parking spaces so yes like I don’t know the hundred meter distance from sea the best view with a panorama for
the beaches and all I’ll see so yeah definitely definitely recommend.
