Hotel Best San Diego in Salou

Recently got back from this hotel last week, the rooms are clean and dining area is clean! The only bad things are that the pool area looks nothing like the pictures, there is too many chairs next to the bar area then there is sun beds all seemed all over the place and was hardly anywhere to go in the sun. The 2 gentlemen that worked on the bar was really friendly. We had an early morning flight and couldn’t sleep due to loads of teenagers on a football team staying in the hotel they was very loud and not under control! Shouting and screaming down the corridors.

Yesterday I came back from my all incl. trip. I think this hotel is max 3*. Rooms very clean, but the air conditioning stank of sewage, probably not cleaned. Service very nice, precise, but few people can speak English. Meals so half and half. Those made in front of customers were mostly realy good and hot. Those displayed in containers were mostly cold. Very good seafood and freshly made salads. The worst desserts. In general, the food very bland. No hot drinks for dinner, a big minus. No possibility to order a lunch box, e.g. when going on a full-day trip. We had breakfast and lunch provided on the last day, but when leaving after breakfast, they didn't even let us make sandwiches for the road, instead of lunch, which was paid for. Very unclear policy of using the all-inclusive option. The lack of a physical menu made things difficult, because I wanted to cut myself off from my phone, and the menu was only available after scanning a QR code. The second issue is the lack of clarity on what you can take. First, we were told that we had to pay 2f extra for premium drinks. Only after about 3 days did the waiter with glasses explain that for an extra charge there were about 2 items from the menu and that's it. Strange situation. I find the drinks themselves very weak. It's hard to even call it a drink, because it's different flavors of slash with alcohol. It's a pity that the hotel won't invest in any basic bartending course, because each bartender made drinks his own way, with totally different alcohols. Animation is another very weak point. I would say that the level was embarrassing. During my 8-day stay, 2 days the animator walked around the pool with a dice, the fun lasted about 10 minutes and that's it. One evening animation is of a rather weak level and that's it. Some quiet background music would be useful at the pool. A plus is a large number of deckchairs. As for the rooms, I warn you that those facing the pool are not quiet at all, as some people have said. Opposite the pool there is a night club, where people scream in front of the club even until 5 in the morning. To sum up, if you treat this place as a place to sleep and have a meal, it's ok, but comparing all my previous trips, this was the worst hotel in almost every respect, apart from the standard of the rooms and cleanliness, I have no complaints about that. Looking through reviews of other hotels in this "Best" company, I can safely say that it's the same everywhere. Having a comparison, I probably wouldn't decide to return to this hotel chain. .

We stayed at the San Diego 10th to 20th September. I'd say it was a good Premier Inn with a pool. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the hotel is mainly clean & tidy. We had a problem checking into our room as the air aircon made a hell of a racket, but we were moved with minimum fuss. For those on fully inclusive (why..?) there didn't seem much to do with little in the way of entertainment. The biggest thing for us was the annoying people who frequented The Victoria opposite. It's open until 5AM and I was kept awake a few times by loud voices, laughing, singing & disagreeing. I mean, really loud oiks being selfish. Don't get me wrong, it's an adequate Hotel, but there's better at Cap Salou and it's quieter! Sorry, but we won't return.
