Bluesea Arenal Tower Adults Only in L'Arenal

Check in was easy and we were greeted well. We arrived at about 12.15am the receptionist swiftly checked us in and as we were hungry we asked him if there was any food available anywhere, he pointed round the corner into the cafeteria where there were some bread rolls and cold meats which was lovely, only I have an allergy to milk (this is a dietary requirement, not a choice) although there were no allergen keys I was aware I wasn't able to eat the bread or the 2 different types salami but I was thankful that they had something put out. I made him aware I had an allergy so that breakfast could go smooth and I wasn't being a pain. We entered the room and noticed it was very clean, there was a god awful droning noise (it was like being on a ship) were told air con takes 20 min to work and we have to keep the balcony door closed or it will switch off for another 20min. The room was RED hot. My partner and I had cold showers and by 2am the room was unbearable so we went and spoke to reception and he said they are fully booked and he can't swap our room so he gave us a fan and by later the next morning it was working. Room was spotless only the tap was broken but still worked. Hats off to the cleaners who worked tirelessly all day and still greeted us with a smile and small chat each day. Front of house staff seemed to lack any kind of personality and we found this impacted on the atmosphere.the gentleman who worked in the kitchen was the most friendly and aways seemed to be smiling. The beginning of the week was quiet but as it got to wed/Thursday the hotel rooms became very noisy and roudy and had groups particularly of you g lads, mixed in amoung couples trying to have a romantic holiday. The pool was a disappointment because between maybe 40 sun lungers there was only 3 umbrellas for shade and you weren't allowed to move the sun beds so we had 2 very small swims in the time we were there. My breakfast every morning (with being allergic to dairy) consisted on boiled eggs every morning as this was the only thing I could eat. They also lacked dietary symbols and I noticed one meal was like a diced potato dish smothered in cheese which wasn't declared on the dietary car. This concerned me allot. We would not choose to stay here again. BUT on the other hand Palma was beautiful and I had great company.
