Lagos de Fañabé Beach Resort in Adeje

We won't be coming back! The cleanliness of the rooms (floors, shelves in the cupboard) leaves much to be desired. As for the half-board meals, the buffet selection is very limited, and the hot dishes are served barely warm. Tonight we were served leftover jacket potatoes and Brussels sprouts from the day before. And for dessert, the cherry pie served tonight was still half-frozen! The restaurant staff were unsmiling, didn’t even speak basic English, and were unwilling to help customers (we brought up the issue of the frozen cake… and got no response).

Let's start with the positives. Hotel is lovely and location is good but thats about it. Now for the negatives. All inclusive is not all inclusive. No snacks in the morning. Breakfast was lovely but lunch and dinner a bit of a let down. Staff acted like we were an inconvenience when we went to get a drink. One of our party had her hand bag stolen from where we were sitting at the pool. Hotels handling of the situation was rubbish. Bag was found in area that we had been in previously that day so the hotel is trying to say that she left it there. Not the case as we had moved areas and been for lunch and had the bag with us then. They are also trying to say that everything was still in the bag when it was returned. Again not the case. Euros, English money and perfume had been taken. Would not recommend unless you want to hold on to your handbag 24/7.

Not a great experience, whilst the hotel itself is nice, upon arrival we were given conflicting advice on where and when the all inclusive items were available. The staff in the bar would stand and continue conversations before serving despite customers waiting to be served. Overall the staff in general were very disinterested in the guests. During our stay my handbag was stolen and when reported to reception I was told to go to police station. I asked if the hotel itself could review the CCTV and this was refused and I again was directed to the police station which was a taxi ride away, having had my bag stolen I had no cash to pay for this and after some back and forward eventually the hotel offered to pay for taxis. Whilst at the station I was called by a member of our group who said the bag had been found and we returned to the hotel where they asked us to pay the taxi fare back as they said I had obviously left it in the toilet. Money and perfume had been removed from the bag and the bag had been damaged. I refused to pay and refused to sign a waiver to say I was happy with the outcome as I felt the staff were very dismissive and unhelpful. I asked if the hotel could place a report as there had been a theft on their property and I was told this was a private matter and nothing to do with the hotel. Overall a very poor experience and I would not recommend this hotel.

We paid all inclusive but were given conflicting information at check in and at the pool bar. One of the girls in our party had her handbag stolen as we were all sitting at the pool. Hotel would not check CCTV, sent us to the police station and just as we were making the statement a someone in our party phone me to say the hotel had found the bag in a toilet. They refused to look at the CCTV to find out who took the bag. It was as if they knew who did it and didn’t want to admit it.
