The beach is beautiful, the place is big and comfy, really nice! Food is average. Service is good, waiters are nice. They hold parties on fridays!

We stayed here two years ago, so maybe things have changed, but the breakfasts were frankly bad, the rooms were sparse. This isn't a mini-hotel, but a typical guesthouse run by Russians trying to squeeze as much money as possible. After three days, we fled to another hotel. We hope things have improved now.

I stayed here for two weeks, in a Deluxe Room with a balcony, room 21. I loved everything: the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, they cleaned it every day, the staff was very polite, and the breakfasts were delicious. Thanks again to the staff for a wonderful stay at this hotel.

Lovely place, up a small hill, surrounded by greenery. The Superior and Deluxe rooms are excellent value, the staff is friendly and helpful. Perfectly located in a cool hip side street with plenty of shops and cafes leading straight to Unawatuna beach. This place was excellent for NYE as we were close to the beach but far enough not to hear the music when we called it quits! The common areas are lovely and it's great sitting out and just chilling for a while. The rooms are relatively clean, but we found a spider which wasn't good. Cleaning staff killed and took it away. This one has incredible view, nice manager, who does things seriously well. Be aware, do not left balcony doors opened at evening night with lights on inside: room will be infested with bugs. Excellent hotel in the South Coast of Sri Lanka just twenty minutes from the world heritage Galle Fort. After a morning at turtle beach we walked up the beach and found Shanthi Beach Resort, the perfect spot for some lunch. We sat overlooking the ocean and ate omelette and prawn fried rice. All the staff here are fantastic, including the owner Summit, who greets all his visitors personally and is on hand for any requests. Considering the proximity to the main road, the rooms are not noisy, they are clean, comfy beds and lots of storage. Bathrooms are all good too. Went to Tartaruga Restaurant for lunch. Restaurant is located in the beach side. Bit crowded with local and foreign tourists. It is open area dining. Table service is available and accepts both cash and cards. They have separate menus for food and beverages. Meals are extremely good and had a pleasant experience there. Highly recommended. Went for dinner at the restaurant and loved it. Lovely place right on the beach. We ordered a burger and a pizza. Unfortunately my burger was a bit overcooked the first time but our waiter (in the green shirt) fixed this by bringing out a fresh burger which I found to be 100x better. Wow the hotel is more of heritage been frozen in times. Good place with all the modern amenities. Peaceful place for family and friends. Lot of mosquitoes but that’s not their problem, carry mosquito repellants with you. Good food and pool to relax.

I had a lovely stay; the location is super, the staff very friendly, good breakfast & lovely pool! The oasis of the garden offers a quiet break from the busy town & streets. Walking distance from the restaurants, beach, supermarket & shops. I would not hesitate to book again!

Hotel is 5min walking to the beach, very quiet place away from maim road. All guys are super nice and will go above and beyond. Thank you for your Sri Lankan hospitality.

Great atmosphere, peaceful and far from the noise even though it's not far from the main road. Surrounded by a lot of green, it is very nice, clean and convenient. Best bed I slept in during my stay in Sri Lanka, really comfy! The staff was also kind and welcoming.

Love this hotel - stylish yet comfortable. A total surprise when you first come down the narrow lane to the entrance. Hats off to the designer. Rooms had a clean, functional design. Staff were lovely, going the extra mile for each guest. Meals were excellent. Beer available, but byo wine to dinner. (There's an extensive wine shop on the corner) Located close to the beach. This review is just for the restaurant that we ate in when passing. Friendly and helpful service but very small pizzas (8 inch/20cm) and a seafood noodle dish that included chicken and chicken bone somewhat detracted from the meal despite the food being good.
