Simple hotel right in the heart of town. Old world decor but modern breakfast hall.
Clean rooms and excellent bathroom (the shower was super powerful and the bath vast).
Convenient for centre of town and 4 mins walk to station.

The room was clean and the location was close to the station and the Coop. The place was also quiet and peaceful. We were satisfied staying here.

The first impression was poor customer service, there were no front desk staff nor anyone to receive or direct customers on arrival, only a small notice to inform customers to check-in in another hotel. The room facilities and furnishings were rather old, the beds were more like extra bed’s bed frame and mattresses were barely 4 inches thick, can’t provide the support needed. As Zermatt is an international tourist destination, there is no English channels on the TV programmes. Breakfast provided was very simple, mainly bread, some bakery n cereals. Would not recommend anyone to stay. Only plus point is location nearby train station n town centre.

From the room can see the top of Matterhorn. Located at the Main Street. Breakfast is simple. Overall stay is satisfy.

What an unbeatable location! We loved the breakfast service here, however the rooms themselves were quite cramped. We were unfortunately in one of the long and narrow (1:6) rooms, instead of a standard 1:2 or 3:4 size that most rooms were configured. It made it impossible to have luggage on the ground and walk without having to jump over our belongings.

Unique venue, good for a night out. The gallery / movie theatre / concert hall turns into a club at night. The venue is split into several floors, each having its own ambiance.

Friendly service from the staff, made a special touch for our stay… amazing view from the hotel room we were in, the breakfast could be improved as it’s limited options for vegetarians. The spa is also great

We staying in backstage hotel serviced apartment for 2 nights, good facilities and view from the apartment however the distance to walk to the Main Street is a bit far for us because we have children and infant with us.
The checkout procedure is troublesome, because we need to go to the hotel to do checkout.

We had a fantastic experience at Backstage. Very unique decor by Owner, and a very nice spa. The on-property restaurant was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Cool hotel with a modern design. We really enjoyed the SPA experience, the floating room in particular. The staff are really friendly and attentive. We would like to thank Chris and Mila in particular who were really helpful, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. The hotel is located in a great location, close to near by shops and restaurants. The rooms are really cozy with a fire place which really adds to the romance. We loved it so much we ended up staying an extra night. Thank you, Backstage Boutique hotel, we will be back!
