Good services and hygiene with tranquility

Zermatt isn't very big, and it takes about fifteen minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel. The hotel facilities are a bit old, and the elevator is quite vintage, but luckily it's well-maintained and very clean. I recommend it.

Shared kitchen was a plus! Great location and view!

The room was really nice and clean. The only downside was that it was a bit far from the train station, but considering the price, it was great value.

Location is slightly further from the train station, however you can hire a local EV taxi for est. CHF5/person from hotel to the train station (together with your luggages). Breakfast spread was decent and would recommend if you’re traveling on a budget to Zermatt. Down the road you’re able to see this Matterhorn view!

Hotel Sarazena is an amazing and the perfect place for a family of 4 in Zermatt. I’ve never had a hotel stay which included a fully-equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, and a washing machine/dryer. This is probably a solid 3 star hotel but was a 5 star experience. Location can't be beat, service was efficient and friendly. And the room was so unique, so comfortable. The minimalist, wooden space with the skylight - a bit of matterhorn in the background. I could have stayed here an entire week and been happy.

Location was very good, close to the main strip and about an 8-10 min walk from the train station. Staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was quite good with eggs and pastries etc. The spa was nice to sit in after a day on the slopes. They also had a sauna but I didn't use that. Very happy with our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Welschen. They picked us up from the train station in an electric car when we arrived and dropped us off when we checked out. Beautiful hotel just up a little hill. The view of the Matterhorn from our bedroom was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful, giving good tips on where to hike and where to go for food. The hotel is centrally located, close to the train station, Gornergratbahn and the busstop to the other ski lifts to Sunnega and Furi. It is also walkable. Next door is an excellent Italian Restaurant that was fully booked all days, so timely reservations required. The room is excellent however called a suite. Excellent shower, good beds, nice balcony.

The staff was impeccable. Great location near the heart of Zermatt, easy walking distance with baggage from the bahnhof, and they also offer a free shuttle service for those who need it. Hotel location is good and good view

The hotel is the white house shown in the first picture. The room was quite small, but the breakfast was decent and pretty abundant. It's located in the middle of town, close to the church. Overall, the value for money is alright. Zermatt has tons of hotels, so there are many choices, but very few are available for booking on Ctrip.

The hotel was quite easy to find actually. Just follow the directions on Google Map. We had the family room which was at the top level (2 flight of stairs) and comes with a balcony. Their rooms don't have matterhorn views but the breakfast restaurant has a beautiful and clear view. Very comfy and no frills stay here!

For 10 years we stayed at the same hotel in Zermatt, was always our “home,” however when an offer comes up at 180chf less for 2 nights we decided to wildcard it - did not regret at all. 10 minutes away from the train station, there is a short uphill road, the room terrace can see the Matterhorn, clean and tidy, breakfast is normal, the staff is kind, but it's a pity that the hotel does not provide microwave ovens and water kettles, there is hot water, but it is not available until you go to the basement

It's a bit of a walk on the way back. It's more convenient to call a car. If the weather is cold, I recommend calling a car to go in. The bed is small and nice.

It is a good hotel, near the station n town, plus located at a very quiet place. I took sunrise photos of the Matterhorn early in the morning, that’s only within 3 minutes walk. Then went back to hotel for a rest. Eating a relaxing breakfast in the hotel before started a new journey. The owners were pleasant n friendly, we will definitely come back again. ‘Hotel Schwarzsee’ is one of the places to stay if you like to be close to the Matterhorn. From here you can hike early up to Hörnli Hütte. We took the Gondola up to Schwarzsee and stayed overnight. We experienced our first snow in Zermatt, a lucky place for us. It’s tiny yet complete, offering drinks from the house. The helpful staff made our stay enjoyable, and we love experiencing the old-style architecture of Zermatt.
