it is around 5 mins walk from the station to the hotel, the location is kind of at the edge of town, so I stayed away from the noise of the city centre. there is a river next to it, so it is relaxing to hear the sound of the river at night. I stayed at the highest floor of the hotel with a balcony of a view of Matterhorn. however there is no elevator at this hotel, so it would be not that convenient for people with huge and heavy suitcase. I still think it is worth it as I could see Matterhorn when I wake up every morning during my stay.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Friendly staff, right beside the lifts and clean, comfortable room. Note: no elevator but other than that, 5 stars all the way!!! 😃

Need some central water refill station, good room but note no lift so if travelling heavy luggage take note, 10 min walk fron train stataion. Entrqnce stair case scary image of joker.

Everything was perfect except for the lack of an elevator; the room facing the Matterhorn allowed you to watch the sunrise from the sofa bed.

View is nice however depending on your luck. No lift, beware of heavy luggage’s and no one will help you. Amenities only towel and 3 in 1 shampoo. Location was ok. Breakfast was basic.

We stayed at this hotel with a group of friends for 3 nights while exploring Zermatt´s beautiful surroundings.

Our room was great, plenty of space, very clean with a fantastic view of the Matterhorn from the balcony.
There is a bar with a good an sunny terrace where it was nice to share a drink with the group after the days hikes

The hotel is small, feels like a warm home and the owners and staff are really nice and helpful.
Since it is an old building, there is no elevator but for us that was no problem since the staff was very willing to assist with bringing the luggage to the rooms if needed.

I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit to Zermatt.

Unique venue, good for a night out. The gallery / movie theatre / concert hall turns into a club at night. The venue is split into several floors, each having its own ambiance.

Friendly service from the staff, made a special touch for our stay… amazing view from the hotel room we were in, the breakfast could be improved as it’s limited options for vegetarians. The spa is also great

We staying in backstage hotel serviced apartment for 2 nights, good facilities and view from the apartment however the distance to walk to the Main Street is a bit far for us because we have children and infant with us.
The checkout procedure is troublesome, because we need to go to the hotel to do checkout.

Cool hotel with a modern design. We really enjoyed the SPA experience, the floating room in particular. The staff are really friendly and attentive. We would like to thank Chris and Mila in particular who were really helpful, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. The hotel is located in a great location, close to near by shops and restaurants. The rooms are really cozy with a fire place which really adds to the romance. We loved it so much we ended up staying an extra night. Thank you, Backstage Boutique hotel, we will be back!
