Very nice staff, food was good and not too pricey
I stayed here for three days and I totally loved the experience. Cozy rooms with beautiful views, good food and service.
Good and basic hotel in the middle of Zermatt. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was unfortunately not good - more or less no choice and the service was under average.
We have very wonderful stay at this hotel, good service, nice breakfast and fantastic room. We have a balcony room which let us enjoy the quiet and beautiful Zermatt environment. Location is also very good!
We had booked a family room the family room was good clean and spacious. and a single room.It‘s a small family hotel. Breakfast is really a shame we were 6 of us had asked for boiled eggs got one and one plate of scrambled eggs. The one bed room in Annex was horrible, really a small room. There was no soap in the toilet.I had a feeling that they were a bit arrogant. We had booked for 4 nights. We stayed only one night paid for 2 and left. It was nice of them to let us go after paying for 2 nights. My kids were not happy in Zermatt so we had to leave. Got to hear a lecture from the the son of the owner that if the weather is not good or the kids don‘t want to fly then one can not cancel the flights.
Any way would recommend pay more and stay somewhere else. One would get better service and ofcourse a better breakfast!!

Quiet, pleasant hotel. Closes early at 10pm. Very clean, comfortable and functional.
It is a good hotel, near the station n town, plus located at a very quiet place. I took sunrise photos of the Matterhorn early in the morning, that’s only within 3 minutes walk. Then went back to hotel for a rest. Eating a relaxing breakfast in the hotel before started a new journey. The owners were pleasant n friendly, we will definitely come back again. Thank you very much.
Clean hotel, good location but old bed sheets with holes... breakfast is good, even for the price you can get a higher quality somewhere else.

It is certainly a nice hotel, however I see more hype than substance there. It is far from poor, but I found it a little less exciting than I had anticipated. Friendly staff though!

Beautiful hotel! Spacious room and balcony with incredible view of the town and Matterhorn. Great breakfast and dinner. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and comfy beds. The cave entry was so cool. The shuttle service was great. We highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel located near the train station. You can walk or call and the porter will pick you up in five minutes for free. Staff is amazingly friendly and the service is like a 5 star hotel. Beautiful view of the Matterhorn and near a hiking trail. They have a tunnel that takes you to the street level which eliminates a long walk. Would stay here again.

Perfect location - we walked everywhere (including to ski).
Clean and lovely hotel. Our room had a beautiful view of Matterhorn and was clean and newly decorated. New bathroom.
The hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Very helpful and patient! The bar on the deck was a perfect place to apres ski. The food was awesome/ great breakfast included!
They have a room for your ski boots - for drying and warming and another room for skis - it’s all self service but really easy to use. Everyone wears slippers all over the hotel bc no ski boots allowed in the halls etx. That took some getting used to but once we figured it out, we felt like we were “in the know”! Zermatt didn’t disappoint! Hotel Schonegg was a perfect hotel for a luxury and romantic week skiing Switzerland!

Unique venue, good for a night out. The gallery / movie theatre / concert hall turns into a club at night. The venue is split into several floors, each having its own ambiance.

Friendly service from the staff, made a special touch for our stay… amazing view from the hotel room we were in, the breakfast could be improved as it’s limited options for vegetarians. The spa is also great

We staying in backstage hotel serviced apartment for 2 nights, good facilities and view from the apartment however the distance to walk to the Main Street is a bit far for us because we have children and infant with us.
The checkout procedure is troublesome, because we need to go to the hotel to do checkout.

We had a fantastic experience at Backstage. Very unique decor by Owner, and a very nice spa. The on-property restaurant was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Cool hotel with a modern design. We really enjoyed the SPA experience, the floating room in particular. The staff are really friendly and attentive. We would like to thank Chris and Mila in particular who were really helpful, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. The hotel is located in a great location, close to near by shops and restaurants. The rooms are really cozy with a fire place which really adds to the romance. We loved it so much we ended up staying an extra night. Thank you, Backstage Boutique hotel, we will be back!
