Really amazing hotel, it feels very luxurious but beautifully blended with nature. The fact that the hotel has 4 different pools is also great for cooling off after using the Jungle gym

the place itself is very nice and despite it is not easy to swim (because of the tides), there are many activities either on the beach or nearby which can be organized by the reception

This was an absolutely beautiful location to relax after our extended safari. The staff are attentive and facilities lovely, but the absolute highlight was the Hammam luxury package at Pure Spa

My friend and I went for a girls trip to Zanzibar and we stayed at Amani for a few nights. The hotel itself was beautiful, serene and directly on the Paje beachfront. The sunrises were absolutely stunning

The highlight of our stay here was the staff - they were so friendly and had an eye for detail. They knew us by name and made us feel very comfortable (being 2 females traveling alone)

Since the hotel has only 14 rooms and is adults only, it is very calm. Always space on the private beach with sun-beds. You can only book half board, including breakfast and dinner

The beach was covered with a lot of seaweed , but this is nature. At low tide, you can walk very far into the ocean. We discovered a lot of sea life in the shallow waters in front of the hotel

Lovely hotel in fabulous location. Downside building work outside hotel so early wake up call at 7am every day. Hotel bar closes really early so nothing much to do at night also service slow at the beach

We stayed in Amani for one week and really loved the hotel. If you are looking for entertainment or nightlife Amani is not the place to stay, but if you look for a place to relax and disconnect, this is the right place

We did a day trip to see the red monkeys then onto prison island then stone town. We had a massage in hotel which was really nice plus they have a lovely boutique shop which I purchased a gorgeous handbag

Dhow Inn is the epitome of a great hotel right on tbe beach. Cool calm colours, top service and amazing pools. Its very relaxed without that big plastic resort feel. 10 out of 10!

The Dhow Inn is the most relaxing place. Rooms are perfect, beds so comfortable. You have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in your room plus water, tea, coffee, sugar, milk daily

Staff super friendly, drinks amazing and food superb. As we are in low season the food is al a carte as low occupancy. The portions are huge!!! The pools are fantastic, beach is lovely also

i spent 15 nights at this hotel the location was on point as i wanted a beach hotel but wanted to engage with the local people at the same time

An acrobatic show came to the hotel, amazing! The weather is a gamble this time of year! We had a couple of showers but we have had glorious sunshine, super hot. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat

There is barely any pool at the property. Slightly bigger pool at the neighboring hotel. Food is really overpriced

My only regret is that I only had time for one night so I plan to return some day soon as I long for a sun lounger on a quiet beach with a drink in my hand

You cannot have more than this. Excellent position, quiet, large rooms well equipped, with lovely forniture, rooms are resetted twice a day. Cuisine is fantastic, menu change everyday with International and local dishes

The employees were extremely friendly and helpful everyday. The food was quite good at both resorts. The intimacy of this resort was great. Beach has some of the finest, softest white sand we've ever walked on

Wonderful Boutique Hotel with a nearby 'sister' hotel. We took the half board plan (breakfast and dinner) and at lunch dined at some of the other near by resorts

Unfortunately, during my second stay I was upgraded to room 301, which is large and overlooks the swimming pool, but it needs maintenance, especially the bathroom, which needs immediate maintenance

The Receptionists welcomed us with smiles, everyone was welcoming. The food was great, a wide variety for breakfast including local dishes, Indian and other dishes which we tasted and they were great

The hotel is located in Stone Town, a neighborhood is full of history, markets with spices that are walk-able distances away. It has taxis in the front door to take you anywhere at affordable fee

The shores to Slave Island are just walk-able distance away. The ferry sounds can wake you up earlier, other than that everything was great

Dining Experience: The dining at Villa Kiva was a highlight of my stay. The hotel’s restaurant offers a delightful selection of local and international cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh seafood that was caught daily

We chose Villa Kiva based on the rating in *********** and we were not disappointed. We had an Africa room with a sea view, more expensive but worth it

The beach hakwers can be a bit annoying to it's good Villa Kiva have some private raised beach beds and loungers within the hotel where the hawkers can't go so it's peaceful, as well as their garden loungers and pools

The beds are well covered with clamboos to protect you from mosquitos and every evening during your dinner the staff will spray the room with deet. Good service! The free to lend bicycles are very pleasant

We'd suggest to publicize more the amazing events proposed, such as the live music, the excellent ice-creams, the cocktails and the relaxing yoga lessons, by putting, for example, a sign or a board on the wall in front of the bar or on the beach

Flame Tree Cottage is a very nice family location. The service was great, we enjoyed the people, the food was OK. Rooms where beautiful en clean. Nice swimming pool and direct access to the beach

Situated close to the beach they had their own dhow. We took a trip with it to Mnemba and saw many dolphins and we did some nice snorkeling

March was not a busy period so the hotel was basically empty. This place is right at the oceanside. The owner has an old authentic boat. It's vclasdic! And you can hire it

A lot of pluses and one huge minus. First of all, the beach is divine - clean, very vast at low tide, practically empty. I stayed in a bungalow on the beach and I just loved waking up to the view

When that finally ended about 6pm, the music at the pool bar started, with bass so loud, that the floor of the bungalow was vibrating. The staff was totally unbothered when asked to turn the music down

A big group of tourists was occupying the restaurant and nearby area all day, playing loud music. When asked to turn it down, they did for 5 minutes, and then it was going on again

I would be more understanding if it was Ibiza, but for a village that advertises itself as a quiet fisherman village - for me it was the main reason I chose it - it’s unacceptable

The Jambiani beach is beautiful with clear water and close to Jambiani town, but it has lots of seaweeds swept from the ocean and (sadly) some trashes. But overall, very beautiful long beach to walk, swim and relax

This hotel is about a 90 minute drive from the airport. I couldn’t find much feedback on it in my research but decided to take a chance on it anyway. The setup is more of a bed and breakfast type accommodation

The property is a lot bigger than I anticipated and it’s very quiet. Very few people walking the beach/sellers bothering you. There are 2 buildings to choose from

Each of the villas (we stayed in the one with four bedrooms) has it's own pool and it's a few steps down to the beach. Excellent restaurant and delicious food

Well- what a delightful piece of heaven we discovered. Our family booked Villa Shiva to spend Christmas together after our safari. From the welcome at the property we immediately knew we were somewhere special

The housekeeping staff kept the space clean and the pool and grounds were tended to everyday. We never felt uncomfortable with the presence of the staff and also never felt like we couldn't ask for absolutely ANYTHING

We used five of the six rooms - and had our massages and facials in the 6th room. I mean - you cannot go wrong here. You're a bit of a drive from the airport - but once you arrive you are in heaven

We felt so lucky to have so much time with family - and the staff made Christmas special by setting up a tree with lights and ornaments in our living room

Absolutely amazing villa hotel. Staff is super friendly, rooms are large and very comfortable and well designed, the garden with the pool is luxury and you are only 20 meters away from the beach.

It is a stone's throw away from the beach and is a few minutes walk away from the nearest small village. The room was gorgeous with an extremely comfortable bed. It was always cleaned somehow and smelled very fragrant

to the culinary meal, where we can highly recommend the sea platter ;-) Also all details, like great WiFi und activity organization where just perfect!! A big thank you to Elga, Ali and the team! Good alternative in Paje Nice hotel in the middel of Paje beach. Beds where really good, bathroom was pretty simple. Great pool area with bar and access to beach

Lodge as well as this hotel/resort Azure Sunshine. The hotel/resort is located on a beautiful white beach. In the beautiful garden there are several separate bungalows with a lot of privacy

The other guests were also great and were primarily travelers doing research or working in the area - way more fun than staying with high-end tourists. I would absolutely come back here

Unique Stone Town (read old, quaint) vibes, very simple without all sorts of bells and whistles. Close to the sea and great food in the market at night.

Nice little B&B in the old city, close to the sea. Breakfast (fruits, toasted bread, eggs of your choice, muesli) is served on the rooftop terrace, which guest can use the whole day to hang out

Located on a quiet street in Stone Town close to the Old Fort and Forodhani Gardens, Kiponda is a quiet and comfortable place to stay

I was truly impressed with Kiponda, I read about them in a magazine and communicated with them via email, booking was easily, the arranged a cab to pick us up from the airport and what we got when we arrived was way more than expected!!
