We had a room facing the bar and reception, yet we were pleasantly surprised by how peaceful it was in the evenings, which we really appreciated

Everything was spotlessly clean, and the place felt very safe — the staff always checked in to make sure we were okay or if we needed anything

It was easy to get around and explore the area, and the locals were always happy to help arrange a boda boda. We never felt alone or unsafe

It was not such a big deal, the girls working there always made sure you have everything you need. But for example my mum doesnt speak english and it is easier for her to choose what she sees from the buffet

The hotel itself has a great restaurant with delicious food, so you don’t even need to leave the property to enjoy a good meal. But what truly made the stay memorable was the staff, especially Gloria

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay at Zenobia Hotel! The beachfront location is absolutely gorgeous waking up to the sound of the waves and the stunning view was a highlight of the trip

They were super apologetic about any miscommunications, arranged us a bus pick up from the ferry port for our group (even though it's close by) and upgraded one of our rooms. The staff were lovely, rooms very clean

My stay at this hotel was excellent. The owners of this hotel are very good. They are hands on and very active and always ready to help. The rooms are clean and tidy and have a working air conditioning system

Seeing the reviews I was a bit worried about this one but they were great! Communication was a bit sporadic prior to the stay, but once I called them and got their number, they were brilliant

Impeccable stay and experience at this place. The place is run by a family led by Stefania. Rooms are excellent, location is right on the beach. Food quality is top tier, and I would recommend their pizzas and pastas

This was the most perfect place to stay in Jambiani. The rooms the food the staff/owner everything was so nice, and the price for all this $87 with breakfast

A magical resort run by Stefania, an Italian, and her mother, Ester, cooks the meals. Beautiful bungalows just steps from Jambiani beach. The love with which Stefania runs this paradise shines through every moment

This place was amazing - clean rooms with good wifi + AC + hair dryer and it was right on the beach. The food was also really good! The host, Stefania, is from Italy so their pizza and pasta was delicious

Budget friendly hostel if you want to stay in stone town for a few day. Rooms and surrouding are little bit unkept. Only for young people backpackers.

The biggest advantage is having a separate cottage! In addition: - very friendly and helpful owners and staff, - excellent service, - intimate and safe place right next to an uncrowded beach, - great location, allowing for miles of walks along the beaches in both directions, - delicious breakfasts and dinners, - absolutely clean, free of mosquitoes and other insects, - quiet, - many tours available...

Such a lovely place to stay 😍 it gave me the vibes I was after. right on the beach , palm trees , beautiful big pool facing the ocean, delicious food however breakfast could have beeb better

The adjacent beach had warm, clear water and if you didn't swim too far out, you could swim without the risk of sea urchins. Delicious, fresh breakfast buffet. A large selection of fresh fruit and various treats

Small buffet platters and it gave the impression that little had to be thrown away. Very large portions of food a la carte at fair prices. All dishes were delicious and lovingly prepared

Fantastic Wifi anywhere you go never had a problem. If there is any negative its there is no shops arround but for us we wanted peace quiet and tranquility good food and drinks which we hot in abundance

My wife & I had an excellent experience. All the hotel staff were so friendly. They also arranged a spice tour, city tour and a boat ride to prison island. The food at the hotel was very good too

With all that said, I found it difficult to sleep the single night there, and staying outside the room was not an option because of the weather. It is far a bit from the main city if you don't have a car

The sunsets here at the beach bar were incredible, and amazing cocktails! The staff in the bar were so friendly and fun! The food at Mahali was amazing, I loved all of the food at the beach bar for lunch, and the breakfast was lovely and it was a beautiful setting

The hotel is on the beach and we thought Paje was a lovely area with nice shops and a lovely food court close by. We ate at Zhulu which is the sister hotel to Mahali for two meals at night and the food was incredible

The cocktails were very good and reasonably priced! The pool was clean; our daughter had a blast swimming. They also had sand toys for kids. There were plenty of lounge chairs to relax with an ocean view, too

The food was overall good - we did bed & breakfast but, in the future, would not do breakfast as there are many places to explore in Paje, nearby, and the options were the same every day - fruit, bread of your choice (toast, crepe like pancakes, or banana bread or muffin), eggs of your choice, bacon (more like Canadian bacon), sausage, or an English breakfast

Wonderful weeklong stay at Indigo Beach! The staff were absolutely fantastic, from how friendly they were to our toddler, to helping organize tours and a massage, to helping us figure out a doctor to take our daughter to when she got sick on our last day

I would also note that the pillows smelled, like they had been in storage for a while and not washed, but we were able to find throw pillows that were ok (we did not mention to the staff, as we forgot whenever we left the room)

The lunch menu had quite a bit of options - we had grilled fish, grilled octopus, and fish nuggets, which were all good. The dinner menu was smaller options, so we generally preferred to go explore other restaurants

I saw they had bikes for rent, but we did not do that. As for the room itself, we appreciated the unique style of it - it isn't one of those cookie cutter hotel rooms that could be anywhere in the world

Ras Nungwi is about an hour north of Stonetown and more than worth the slightly bumpy ride :) This place blew us away from the very beginning. Reception greeted us with cold towels, refreshing juice and a smile

They also have a gorgeous pool. The food is good and the drinks are cold. Though we didn't partake in the activities, they offer snorkeling excursions, diving, sunset cruises and more

Nice clean, almost e clusive beach. Peaceful and isolated. Nice shallow areas to swim in, like swimming in a pool.....so calm

Horace provided exceptional service and gave us the lay of the land while introducing us to all Ras Nungwi has to offer. You can lounge on plush beach beds in the sun or swing on a hammock in the shade

We went scuba diving from a company which is 5 minutes away on foot, and also went to the famous restaurant The Rock which is 15 minutes away in car. Milele Beach Resort offers a sea-view massage spot for couples

Beautiful ambient surroundings & clean environment by the sea with friendly staff. & serving tasty food as well. Good deals are also offered to non- residents who wish to swim & have meals in the hotel as well.

Great location, great beach bar, best bartenders (Andrew and Juma). Had the most memorable nights here hanging out with the staff! Food was also pretty good and affordable. Rooms were comfortable and clean

The service was top-notch, the rooms were excellent, the food was superb, and it's close to the beach!!! I didn't have any expectations, but it really exceeded my expectations, so I booked an extra night!!

This resulted in the 3rd person in our group sleeping on the bench with a thin mattress in order to have some air conditioning. The water in the shower was barely warm and never hot

After 6 nights, the manager Emanuel kindly offered me a complimentary night, knowing that the booking was originally made for 4 people but we came as 2. Such a thoughtful and generous gesture

Short walking distance from the main areas in Stonetown. The pool is lovely and the breakfast rooftop view was really nice in the morning. The only downside: i upgraded us to a suit and it was a mistake

Unfortunately, during my second stay I was upgraded to room 301, which is large and overlooks the swimming pool, but it needs maintenance, especially the bathroom, which needs immediate maintenance

The Receptionists welcomed us with smiles, everyone was welcoming. The food was great, a wide variety for breakfast including local dishes, Indian and other dishes which we tasted and they were great

The hotel is located in Stone Town, a neighborhood is full of history, markets with spices that are walk-able distances away. It has taxis in the front door to take you anywhere at affordable fee

We had the most pampered stay and the most delicious food! My only complaint is the big portions! Salum,our butler and Raya our room Steward were very warm and caring,while the manager Saidi frequently checked in to see that we were okay and enjoying our stay

We did a day trip to see the red monkeys then onto prison island then stone town. We had a massage in hotel which was really nice plus they have a lovely boutique shop which I purchased a gorgeous handbag

Dhow Inn is the epitome of a great hotel right on tbe beach. Cool calm colours, top service and amazing pools. Its very relaxed without that big plastic resort feel. 10 out of 10!

The Dhow Inn is the most relaxing place. Rooms are perfect, beds so comfortable. You have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in your room plus water, tea, coffee, sugar, milk daily

Staff super friendly, drinks amazing and food superb. As we are in low season the food is al a carte as low occupancy. The portions are huge!!! The pools are fantastic, beach is lovely also
