A Truly Unforgettable Stay at Zanbluu We stayed at Zanbluu Hotel for one week, and it was absolutely incredible! The food was outstanding, and our front-row bungalow with a private pool right on the beach was pure paradise

This place looks exactly if not even better in real life. My family and I had a fantastic stay at the villas. The direct access to the beach meant sunrise walks along the beach which my parents loved

1st floor complete with kitchen, family room and bedroom for anyone unable to climb stairs. 2nd floor has two bedrooms and baths both with balcony. One is master suite with TV and larger bath

We actually booked both villas as we were a large group, which it was perfect for as it turns out you’re able to join the two rooftops by opening a divider to make one large space

The staff was excellent, the chefs are everything the food was great everyday. It’s great for family vacation cuz it’s private, spacious and loads of space to hangout as a group

The jetty was amazing and we spent a lot of time there, but everyone working from the front desk, to resturant, to managers and housekeeping was so warm and welcoming! It really made and impact! It was bittersweet leaving this place, but we will most definitely be back sooner than later

Nice place with very nice view. It's historic at the same time modern. The pool is kinda small but ok. The view though earns 5 stars, very nice and clean beach

The beach was awesome with great sunsets. Had a two twin bed room that was converted to a queen by combining the beds. Room was clean enough but the tiles were an off brown that made them look not so clean

And above all, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful - particularly manager Issa. He personally went above and beyond helping me with a special matter. Can't say enough good things

The staff is very helpful, but like most islands things just tend to be slower. The food service takes a while but I appreciated it as it seemed everything was cooked when ordered

Budget friendly hostel if you want to stay in stone town for a few day. Rooms and surrouding are little bit unkept. Only for young people backpackers.

We did not stay at this hotel but 5 stars go entirely to the male staff member standing at the entrance to the hotel today ! We got a little lost during our Stone Town exploration and required some redirection and this staff member took time out of his day to provide us with directions and also reorientate our maps

The restaurant up top offered great food with good service and the accompanying view was breathtaking! Also let us keep our luggage there while after we checked out and were busy during the day doing activities

Good location (closer to the center), very safe at night. Friendly and very helpful staffs. There were always check that we did not need anything. It was very nice of them and it made me feel more comfortable

Located perfectly in the centre of Stone Town, really near Fredy Mercury’s house. The building has a cool vintage look and feel, and is well maintained. The rooms are spacious and some have a view

Food was very good, we spent a lot of time on the rooftop (breakfast, having snacks and drinks late afternoon) and we were never disappointed. I will recommend this place for sure

The Island has the most stunning coastline and the Indian ocean is very warm and welcoming. We visited a Spice Farm on the way to Stone Town, this was very informative, we tried some of the local jackfruit and coconuts

But the best thing was the staff, they was all amazing and helpful. They were always happy and spoke great english. Especially the waitress called Jasmine was amazing. Would recommend everyone to visit

The beach is by far the best in the Pongwe area — crystal-clear water, wide sandy shores, quiet and private, plenty of space to relax and enjoy the beauty of the ocean

The hotel is on the beach and we thought Paje was a lovely area with nice shops and a lovely food court close by. We ate at Zhulu which is the sister hotel to Mahali for two meals at night and the food was incredible

Nice place to stay due to possibility to walk around the beach and enjoy beautiful sunshines. Within few minutes walking on the beach Kiwengwa is plenty of restaurants, bars, kitesurfing spots and schools

It is right by the beach so it was great to walk out from the room directly to the sea. The place is clean and the breakfast was nice. Very serene place - highly recommend it to anyone going to zanzibar

I recommend Simba's restaurant as well. We tasted many of their dishes and all was good. Breakfast is ok with a good selection of homemade cakes and cookies. Fresh fruit, omelettes and so on

Simba Beach is an amazing place, very clean and right by the beach. We loved hearing the waves all throughout the night and in the morning we'd wake up to a beautiful sunrise

We spent three lovely days at Simba Beach lodge. The hosts were so lovely and they have two adorable daughters who were the sweetest ever

Took a solo trip for my birthday to Zanzibar. Was very pleased with Paje By Night. Breakfast, yoga and massage were included in my booking. Yoga included a morning Mysore practice and and evening Vinyasa

Paje by Night is a very nice place indeed, close to the beachside. The staff gives their best, to make this feeling home, away from home. However, WiFi is unreliable to say the least

! The beach is only a couple of minutes away, but there is also a very nice pool to relax by…! The food served is of very good quality, but above all very tasty! Most importantly, all the staff is beyond fantastic! From the cleaners, the waiters to the reception staff and the owners, everyone has been an absolute star to make sure our stay was great! Thank you for everything! We will be back!

The location is great, second to the beach and nice and quiet when you need it, beautiful designed with palm trees for shadow and a big pool kept cool where the kids can play. The staff is so nice and the food good too

The cocktails were very good and reasonably priced! The pool was clean; our daughter had a blast swimming. They also had sand toys for kids. There were plenty of lounge chairs to relax with an ocean view, too

The food was overall good - we did bed & breakfast but, in the future, would not do breakfast as there are many places to explore in Paje, nearby, and the options were the same every day - fruit, bread of your choice (toast, crepe like pancakes, or banana bread or muffin), eggs of your choice, bacon (more like Canadian bacon), sausage, or an English breakfast

Wonderful weeklong stay at Indigo Beach! The staff were absolutely fantastic, from how friendly they were to our toddler, to helping organize tours and a massage, to helping us figure out a doctor to take our daughter to when she got sick on our last day

I would also note that the pillows smelled, like they had been in storage for a while and not washed, but we were able to find throw pillows that were ok (we did not mention to the staff, as we forgot whenever we left the room)

The lunch menu had quite a bit of options - we had grilled fish, grilled octopus, and fish nuggets, which were all good. The dinner menu was smaller options, so we generally preferred to go explore other restaurants

I saw they had bikes for rent, but we did not do that. As for the room itself, we appreciated the unique style of it - it isn't one of those cookie cutter hotel rooms that could be anywhere in the world

Our room was up-to-date, had everything we needed, the beds had mosquito nets, and the bathroom was good. The nearby small pool, was a very nice place to hang out. Its the beach here that is really the winner

The resort is right on the beach, and the restaurant sits next to the beach and while covered, is open sided, and you often have a lovely breeze blowing through

For starters, you should know that this resort is now called the Mambo Ocean Resort. We stayed here for three nights and four days in October 2024

We paid a little extra and had a nicer room, in the back of the resort, which has access to its own pool and is a bit quieter than the rooms on the beach which are next to the restaurant and the resort next door

The beach, which is BEAUTIFUL, stretches for long distances in both directions (we took two hour walks during sunrise and never reached the end of the beach)

The big pool is wonderful facing the sea, the construction of the restaurant is impressive and original, the bar beautiful and the hotel offers some nice and easy activities. Bedrooms very clean and decorated with taste

Now back from our second time staying here and cannot wait to be back already! It is bliss with a lovely swimming pool and very accommodating and kind staff

Very nice place but isolated from everything, meals and drinks very expensive (ordinary bottle of wine at 25€), we are alone on 10/02 in this hotel with 12 rooms, some hotels in the surrounding area with more people, pleasant but dirty swimming pool, direct access to the sea which depending on the tides is accessible but we do not lose our footing and the water is as warm as a bath so we do not cool...

The food was excellent, from the wonderful breakfast to lunch, teatime, and dinner! The resort has an ecological approach and supports the local community by using only local products, and the staff comes from Zanzibar

The huts rest around the outside of the pool. The candle light dinner is beautiful. We stayed 1 night that was nice. The room is beautiful 😍 with an outside shower. The shower gel and cremes are wonderful

We stayed here at the end of april and we had the beach for ourselves! If you love nature and being in contact with it this is the place for you! If you have a problem with the windows not having glass, and hearing the rain or the bushbabys, then stay at home 😅

If you are looking for total relaxation in your get away paradise it’s here! It’s the only place with a super quiet beach, empty with no one to try and sell you things or tour guides, you could walk a long way On-The-Go beach and not see another person

The location is at Matenwe in Zanzibar. A bit difficult to get ro but an absolute treasure. It's a retreat place but more like a resort. Directly opposite the beach, great pool, fine location and overall great staff

The lunch and evening meal menu had a good variation of dishes from local to western meals to suit everyone's palette, of which every meal we had was very good, especially the fish and seafood, plus the wali maharage

Then at the end of our stay before we left the African Paradise, Pia and Hasim even gave us leaving gifts, to help us remember our memorable stay with them at their Hotel/House

African Paradise was a fantastic place to stay in the south of Zanzibar. It is located right on the beach, although note that the tide changes drastically during the day. The hotel is clean and rooms are well-equipped
