Each room is beautifully decorated and spacious. Air conditioning plus a ceiling fan makes the room comfortable for sleeping. My room had a lovely balcony overlooking a garden

The internal courtyard makes the hotel very quiet. The rooftop is lovely for breakfast and dinner or the Secret Garden within the hotel compound is also lovely for a meal

Turn down service was a lovely touch. Breakfast was wonderful and served at the roof top restaurant, which has a nice view over Stone Town. Also a great spot for sundowner drinks. We didn't try the set menu dinner there

Really nice historic hotel My sister and I stayed here for a few nights when arriving in Zanzibar. Our flight plans got brought forward and the hotel was great in bringing forward our airport pick up

We stayed in Mimi which is one of the top rooms, so lots of stairs to get there. Room was huge, light and airy. We had a problem with hot water for the shower but once we notified the staff it was quick to be resolved

They let us keep our luggage there before check in time with no extra charge, and they gave us a room upgrade to one of the best rooms (the Katherine Hepburn room), which was a really nice surprise

The hotel rooms are spacious with balconies and the location of the hotel is in the middle of stone town easy access to everything

The facilities are old, there is only soap in the bathroom, the smell in the room is not very friendly, and the most important thing is that the price is very high, and the cost performance is very low

Nice staff I arrived after dinner, and they thought I was a no-show so they gave up my premium room. The next day they moved me to a nice room. The place itself is definitely not fancy

its a hotel locaited at town near to stone town city, Zanzibar urban town cuty, its lively place with 5 star service, not far from airport and also very near to port.

The pool area is kept tidy and inviting, which is especially great when the tide is low

Rooms are clean and air conditioning provides a much needed break from the Zanzibar heat! Fridges in the rooms give an option for keeping cold drinks. Food here is absolutely delicious and prices highly affordable

We returned to IFA for a vacation, since our visit with them in 2023 was absolutely wonderful! The location of IFA Beach Resort is ideal as it sits at the very beachfront, offering beautiful scenery

Beach side The location is perfect, directly on the long, nice and pretty calm Jambiani beach. The hotel has a large garden with flowers and palm trees around the pool area

There was no air conditioner, but I was able to sleep because the wind was blowing through. It's like sleeping in a bungalow at a campsite. The view in front of the beach is spectacular

However no fridge in the rooms. Meals are on demand pretty much any time, always fresh and excellent. Breakfast choices are limited but very good, i. there's no breakfast buffet as in resorts (for that, go to Nungwi)

Probably the best hotel in this area, which is the south branch of Jambiani. Extremely friendly and helpful service all round. Excellent queen bed with mosquito net (not that I needed it at the time)

I paid circa $50 for one night here on a work trip. For that price I think it was a complete bargain. Location is great, no night clubs / chickens crowing next door so quiet

This is a unique property in the Stone Town area of the Zanzibar, close vicinity to the Forodha Park , the hotel is quiet and gives you a feel of the ancient times a great break from the new modern hotels

I didn’t stay at the hotel but went for a massage at the spa with Maryam and I want to highly y recommend her to any women whom want some pampering or just a good massage

Instead it’s bursting with Stone Town character, amazing location, nice bed and bathroom with lovely staff. Will stay again and willing to pay a little more

I didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on food (so many choices within a 5-10 min walk). This is not a luxury hotel like a Hyatt or Serena

I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway while still wanting to immerse themselves in a setting that reflects genuine African authenticity. We would definitely come back!

The rooms were clean and they sprayed our room every day with antimosquito spray. They offer a lot of programs as well like jazz night or morning yoga, massage. We’re really enjoyed our stay

A point worth noting is that this property feels more suitable for couples rather than families with kids. The restrooms do not have doors, and the open balconies may not be ideal or completely safe for young children

Fabulous hotel in lovely location. Rooms are individual bungalows some with private pools. The staff are amazing - thanks especially to Frank. Food was delicious

What I really liked was the small scale and how the staff knew your name and took a great effort to fullfill your personal needs. It was so clean and beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious

The only slight disappointment was the cost of the cocktails and beer - double what the beach bars charge which is a shame because we would have enjoyed several at the poolside! That said, we would definitely return here again if we came back to Zanzibar and highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect hotel in Paje

Thank you so much to KHEIR and SHAIBU (I hope I wrote it right) for the very nice gesture they made to us when we asked for theirs hats and made us also 2 hats from the Palma tree leafs! They are gardening employees and very nice people! Also the whole staff is very nice specially the waiter you get assigned, we got Martini but were many others always having good conversation

On the last day we were moved to a different bungalow with a private pool. This room was equally spacious and comfortable. And having our own pool was a treat. Breakfast was included with our room

There was a small buffet and a good sized menu to choose from. We especially enjoyed the tuna eggs benedict. We also enjoyed lunch around the pool. One of our favourites was the tuna tartar

There is also a nice wine selection. It is the staff that puts White Paradise above the rest. The front desk, housekeeping, wait and bar staff could not have been more friendly and helpful

There is food/drink service at both. The beach at the hotel is not a swimming beach. To compensate for that the resort also offers a shuttle service to a nearby beach three times a day

But a special thank you to Vladi. Always with a warm smile and so helpful to us in planning our activities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at White Paradise and can not wait to return

Our bungalow was spacious and well decorated. There is a coffee maker and a kettle in the room. We enjoyed the resort so much we changed our plans and stayed an extra day

The cocktails were delicious and very good value - as were the wine and spirits. The dining area looks over the beach and the Indian Ocean. The infinity pool is crystal clear and also looks out onto the Indian Ocean

This resort in Zanzibar is perfect for honeymooners and relaxing by the pool. It is centrally located for excursions. It has an excellent resturant accessed by a long boardwalk over the changing tides

Lovely relaxing porch, a ladder provided to hang swimming suits by the porch, Breakfast was well organised so was lunch and dinner. Pool was wonderful, small, exclusive and relaxing

Beautiful spot, overlooks the ocean. Hot showers, fresh breakfast (fruits, juice, tea or coffee, eggs and toast), and very kind staff. The restaurant in front of it is AMAZING too. Our group loved it.

I have peeked at other rooms that are nice but my room is unsophisticated ( no nightstands there is a space for a wardrobe but not one there!) Not dingy though and cleaned every day. The bathroom is a little lacking

There are renovated rooms, as well as old rooms. Some rooms have a refrigerator, some rooms do not. The air conditioner is located directly above the bed, and the blanket is a sheet

The location is great, if not for the "den" on the nearest street, where local drinkers hang out)) You will definitely not be able to pass unnoticed down the street from the hotel)

As far as I can tell it's the cheapest place that you are looking at the beach off the porch or balcony. I paid 30$ for a room with a fan and an AC room costs 40$

The beach on this side(east) is affected more by the tide, 5 minutes ride and you are at Kinengwa beach, one of the best in the world

Sevice was very good. We d like to change something. And the owner did everything to make our stay comftable.

First do not leave your valuables in the room, we missed 200$ after the first room cleaning. The place is on the beach and it s nice, but the room is overrun, walls are degrading, the toilet, sink, shower are rusty

We enjoyed the pool, the beach, the good food, and especially how the team made Christmas Eve extra special—it felt more like a celebration with friends than a hotel event

Spent 5 relaxing days at Spice Island over the Christmas holiday. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. There are a lot of lounging spaces around the pool and facing the beach

The location of the hotel is picturesque. The hotel is great for those who look for peaceful and quiet vacation. WITH 11 rooms and full service, it almost felt like a private resort

The swimming pool area was well maintained and serviced with just a handful of guests on most days offering such a relaxing and tranquil experience, so good that we only went out on a few trips arranged by the hotel, the trips they offer are good value and personal so no hanging about for additional guests from other places

Sitting in the pool while enjoying the endless ocean view it truly felt like an infinity escape. Waking up to the sound of the waves and that uninterrupted view of the sea was so peaceful and refreshing

This stay was honestly something out of a dream. Having a room that overlooks the beach was already incredible, but the private mini pool took the whole experience to another level

Just returned from this great hotel last week, Myself and Wife had eleven nights staying in a ocean front deluxe room which was well appointed with a comfortable bed and smashing views over the sea/reef, fitted our needs completely

The breakfast is served directly to your table and comes out in courses. That wasn't ideal for the kids and so we requested them to serve the toast and eggs at the beginning and they were very nice about it

Had an amazing stay at Hekaya for 3 nights. The rooms, property, service, staff were amazing. The view from the room was the big reason to book this stay, and I was not disappointed at all

The people running this property are so helpful and always are there with a smile, makes your stay memorable. The best thing of stying here was going for my morning walk on the beach early morning during the sunrise
