We stayed at Bella Vista Resort Zanzibar and had a truly wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of; especially by Sharleene, the resort manager. She is an incredible person: kind, professional, and always ready to help. ❤️ Definitely talk to her about excursions, she really knows her stuff. Everything felt relaxed and easy: the driver would wait for us, there was no rushing...
I just returned from a two-week stay at Bella Vista Resort. I regret not booking a longer stay; everything about this place is perfect. The view, the atmosphere, the food, and especially the people who work there are incredibly kind and professional. Sherline, the manager, is a wonderful woman who knows the area very well and is always willing to give advice on what to see. I recommend this place to...
This little haven of a hotel is in the perfect location on a small beach set in beautiful gardens. So peaceful and quiet inside and a perfect retreat to get away from the busy tourist places of Zanzibar. The room was perfect with all the facilities I needed. Great value for money and the staff are amazing from Della in the restaurant to Matilda on reception they couldn’t do enough to ensure you have...
Bella Vista was the accommodation I chose to stay at in the south of Zanzibar, and I truly loved the experience. The property is wonderful: the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the accommodation offers a beautiful sea view. There are two swimming pools: a larger one, perfect for swimming, and a smaller one, ideal for relaxing and unwinding. It is located close to a fishing village that still...
Stayed here during the election troubles &internet shut down (don’t let that put you off, never happened before and elections only every 5 years) &the manager Charlene made it her own personal crusade to make our holiday as unaffected as possible - she went above and beyond fighting for a replacement safari with tour agents when they cancelled and booked things through the hotel as no cash/ card options...
Beautiful place, nice people, welcoming staff. Our special thanks go to Kelvin, a very talanted and extremely helpful young man. The restaurant requires attention though. Most of the items on the menu are constantly out of stock. The orders are being mixed/messed up all the time. But if you are not too picky about food the place would be the perfect fit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Stay at Isla Bonita Zanzibar Beach Resort 🌴 I had one of the best stays ever at Isla Bonita Zanzibar in the peaceful village of Matemwe on Zanzibar’s northeastern coast. The beachfront location offers stunning white sand and crystal-clear water – absolute paradise (). From day one, I felt right at home thanks to the kindness and professionalism of General Manager Mostafa,...
I had a wonderful experience during my stay at the hotel. The management was outstanding, and the cleanliness of the entire place was truly impressive. The team was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout my visit. A special thanks to Mr. Metwally, the owner, for his exceptional hospitality and kindness. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back again very soon
Fantastic stay with excellent staff. The hotel offers an amazing view and ample privacy on the beach. The manager, Moustafa, is very friendly and helpful. He has extensive experience managing 5-star hotels in Dubai and Egypt. He is very kind; he took me along to Stone Town when he was shopping and helped me get all the spices I needed. The food was excellent, especially the coconut curry pasta. I...
Small room with a bathroom of 1m2. The shower hangs above the toilet. Renovation is needed, especially since the power goes out a lot, the water pressure drops and the room doors cannot be locked.
The employees seem friendly, but they are mainly concerned with blaming others.
Beautiful and quiet place. The staff was very personal and friendly, and they all made us feel welcome. Highly recommended!
Lewis was phenomenal in making my stay a great one. The sunrises are breathtaking. Highly recommend as an alternative to the loud beach areas on the island.

Its so authentic hotel
You fell like in old times
Its clean hotel
Breakfast is enough
Workers was polite
Pretty safe area..
GREAT FOR STEPPING BACK IN TIME AND FEELING THE ELEGANCE OF IT ALL.
Recommended hotel, with friendly staff.
Really friendly helpful staff. Great rooms. I’d recommend.
Authenticity
We state in this hotel for a few nights and I was very impressed with the stuff who was friendly and extremely positive in all aspects. This is Africa and I learned very quickly that I have to adjust my expectations to fully enjoy what this place has to offer. Everyone was trying their best to make this stay for me and my mother enjoyable. Every stay has glitches and any of my concerns...
The location is at the quiet side if the Stone Town. Due to it is situated inside a small alley, the directions could be quite complicated and we were lost several times to head back to the hotel. Despite being assured that it's safe, we were tapped by few mischievous children when we passed by a school near the hotel. That said, the room and hotel itself was great. We particularly enjoyed the breeze...
Beautiful hotel with excellent service from the staff. The hotel is nestled away inside Stone Town but we enjoyed being able to walk to the water and not being far from the sites. The hotel room was beautifully decorated. I would definitely revisit.

Albatross Ocean View is a wonderful small hotel. The whole staff is very friendly. Food, rooms and service are also excellent. Very familiar atmosphere. The staff also offers support in planning trips in Sansibar!
This nice, relatively small and well maintained hotel offers everything you need. Enjoy the outstanding hospitality of a wonderful team and an excellent kitchen. We had a beautiful room on the second floor wiht a spacious balcony and a wonderful view of the beach and the ocean. The rooms was nice and very clean. We can just recommend this place! Nothign to critizice at all.
We stay to this hotel for two weeks in middle of July.We enjoy every minute of our stay. From the reception, to the boys and girls in restaurant, the cleaning team, the Kinando this very special Massai man, the Frank the man behind everything and of course the Samson. Great time in this human scale hotel , with great service , and great place . We have stayed Ten Days , i was a great experience , really peacefull. The staff is really sympathic , and we had great surprise form the staff during our romantic stay.
The hotel was very beautiful with great views of the ocean. The staff was very accomadating. With low tides in the mornings we were able to walk along the beach. This a secluded beach best for couples. Our suite was ocean front with the best views of the ocean
The hotel was very good, I would definitely come back here if I visit Zanzibar again. The service and food were of very good quality, we took the all inclusive package which I would recommend when you stay here. It contains all food (a la carte) and drinks, including very nice cocktails made with fresh fruits.
The staff was exceptional. Mozes, Peter,Innocent and Benjamin took very good care of us...

Clean room, great hospitality shown by the staffs. Thank y’all for your services.
In the middle of nowhere so need to get taxis to get to places.
Our stay was nice HOWEVER they charge for everything!! Only one free refill of a glass bottle of water in the room and they charge for 500ml bottles of water for $1 each.
Every lunch and dinner we had we were given free refill water (we were informed the glass bottles were refilled with drinking water however if you ordered plastic bottle...

The staff were phenomenal. Unfortunately, I witnessed a couple of incidents where they were spoken to in such disrespectful manners by manager and other guests.
gorgeous spacious resort beautifully designed, best in Zanzibar for a boutique hotel we have visited.quite good kitchen. Service is fine, not experienced. Front desk is quite inexperienced
Blue Moon really went above our expectations and that very much thanks to all the staff!
The resort in it self is stunning and located so you really get to relax and enjoy. The jetty was amazing and we spent a lot of time there, but everyone working from the front desk, to resturant, to managers and housekeeping was so warm and welcoming! It really made and impact!

Absolutely wonderful place. Looks like a dream and with prices in the lover end.
Hakuna matata is words people live by here and the service does aswell. Super helpful people working here, and they're willing to do anything to help you. But they take their time and they everything happens in a slow tempo which we had to get used to in the beginning.
But now we're all just hakunaing our tatas and it...
Wonderful beachfront stay in Pwani Michangani! We were very well taken care of by Mawa and the rest of the staff! Will return for sure!
Upside: very good value for money, great views from the pool and restaurant, the staff is very friendly and willing to help.
The rooms: size, equipment and cleanliness is just ok.
Downside: the restaurant, which had high prices for the quality of the food, the location is far from the closest village and you need to drive there.
Overall I'd say it's a good place to stay.

I definitely recommend staying at Maisha. Calm location and close to Nungwi beach and central area.
Clean rooms and amazing service.
A massive shoutout to their staff: all of them very friendly, helpful, polite and always with a smile. Interaction with guests was beyond any place I have stayed before!
Well done to all of the team!
The Maisha Nungwi was a wonderful place to start our honeymoon! The people were extraordinary, friendly and helpful. The Beach Bar/Restaurant is awesome, the food is great, the view is beautiful. We recommend booking the Nungwi walking Tour with Izzy (!) The dolphin/snorkelling experience was also great. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere at Nungwi Beach Boutique Hotel. They have great location. It is true, that it is not on the beach, but it is a minute away. The hotel is great, 2 little pools inside the garden, stuff are super nice.
There is a beach club owned by the hotel. Beach chairs, food & drinks are all within a walkable distance.

Staff were so lovely and tried to help as best they could. Breakfast was included, and pancakes were a firm hit with the children. The chef seemed to always be annoyed with the staff, not sure why.

A very warm welcome. The staff were always friendly and helpful.
During power outages, the generators were always quickly brought in to provide backup. The location is ideal for a quiet, romantic getaway, with shops nearby. For an alternative to the hotel restaurant, Balungi, less than a 10-minute walk away, is also good, as is Romagna Mia.
Uroa is truly a pleasant area for disconnecting, and the Sunny...
Loved Everything About It! Amazing stay! The room was clean and cozy, the staff were super friendly, and the location was perfect. I’ll definitely come back
Heavenly 😇
Amazing place, excellent for relax, training, good food and romance. 💕
Great pool.
We loved having a 3 bedroom suite with a living area and private baths for all. So nice to be all together yet in our own space, The food was good and the service was too! Unfortunately the property isn't licensed. That's the only hesitation I would have on returning.
The staff received us very warmly and the three bedroom villa we shared was comfortable, the beds were soft enough and pillows very fluffy. Ali was very helpful and on call to ensure we enjoyed our two nights stay. The resort does not serve alcohol but he was able to organize for us what we wanted from outside moreover late in the night. The pool is clean and quiet. Generally a very good place to chill...

we loved the amazing ocean view, our room, the kindness and care of the staff (also our animal friends), breakfast on the beach and tuesday night party - food and music were so good!! we enjoyed our stay lots and highly recommend it 🤗 asante sana
Loved the stay here! Amazing location in a chilled beach, lots of spots around to chill, lots of green, good food and excellent breakfast, hot shower, rustic clean rooms with daily housekeeping, hammocks, sand all around without concrete, which is amazing because you really feel you live on the beach. Amazing and very professional staff. Live shows some days of the week with good music artists. One...
Perfect beachfront location. Claudia and all the staff were amazing. Truly beautiful people with amazing attitudes. All the food and drinks were delicious. Anything we needed was arranged on spot.
In the King room with balcony you will be awake with the most beautiful sunrise.
Our room was extremely dark, and the floor was no straight at all... So much that one side of the bed was 10 cm higher was than the other side. When you are 2 people in the bed. Not great.
Beach vibe and outside was nice. Mosquitos in the room, holes in the roof and in mosiko Netz. Food was good. (Some nights mandatory buffet even if you are not super hungry) staff was nice. Owner is German woman....
An incredibly well-managed and cosy corner of the island. Claudia and the rest of the staff make you feel incredibly well during your stay, leaving you space but always being present and available with a nice vibe.
The food of the hotel was always fantastic and on point. We always looked forward to the breakfast, which was good and boasted a good selection. The lunch and dinners were constantly changing...
Right on the beach, this quirky and inviting hotel is a beautiful place. The food is generally, though not always very good. Sometimes the fruit, for example was old and bruised, but the BBQ night was fun and full of tasty, fresh dishes. The staff are friendly, welcoming and laid back, but always ready to help. The location is good especially if you want a bit of separation from the more touristy...
