Mjini Magharibi Region, Kiwengwa, Kumba Urembo, Kiwengwa 🧭 Map
Stayed in Marafiki Bungalows for 3 nights. Amazing place, very hood service from all staff +reception, clean and comfy Bungalow, great pool ,bar and tasty breakfast. The beach on this side(east) is affected more by the tide, 5 minutes ride and you are at Kinengwa beach, one of the best in the world. The obvious advantage of the relative distance is the peace and quiet and the amazing feel of remoteness...
Perfect Bungalows Marafiki Bungalows was a delight. But what made it a perfect location to rest & relax were all the employees. Lots of flora & fauna & quite. Management were women and everything done perfectly & no detail forgot. We had a Gluten Free person traveling with us & the chefs were super accommodating. Food was all delicious . Pool & beach were beautiful. A special thank you to Jackson...
This is our all time favourite stay, beautiful gardens, lovely sea view, staff are exceptional. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay great. Food was excellent Felt like we were staying with a family. Perfect place to relax and enjoy. If u are looking for action and tons of activities then look elsewhere, this is a place to chill, so safe and they look after everything. U can get to places...
We stayed here for 5 nights and had a lovely time! Good food, plenty of options for meals. Lovely pool, nice small beach area which is suitable for swimming at certain times of the days. Very friendly staff. Rooms very nice, spacious, lots of comfortable outdoor seating (both private with the rooms and around the pool, beach). Particularly loved the bush babies who you could see and hear when it was...
A beautiful boutique styled hotel with comfortable bungalows most with ocean views and lovely front balcony's. The owners are Polish (most resorts in Zanzibar are owned by foreigners), who were kind and helpful. We visited at shoulder season, so there was plenty of pool chairs to choose from. This is a hotel that you would choose if you want to enjoy a quite, smaller resort with a pool and good food...
One of the best places to stay in zanzibar. Beautiful resort and amazing hospitality.

Amazing place to be!!! Staff so kind located directly on the beach is it a paradise.
We had a very beautiful stay at this Hotel! The staff was very friendly and carrying. Thanks for the nice time.
Sevice was very good. We d like to change something. And the owner did everything to make our stay comftable.
An Unforgettable Experience in Zanzibar My partner and I were lucky enough to spend three days at this beautiful hotel overlooking the sea, in the heart of the village of Pwani Mchangani. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed not only by the staff, who were always attentive and kind, but also by the local culture, which made us feel right at home. The atmosphere of this place is magical...
First do not leave your valuables in the room, we missed 200$ after the first room cleaning. The place is on the beach and it s nice, but the room is overrun, walls are degrading, the toilet, sink, shower are rusty... We payed almost 150$ per night but the place should not be more than 50... Surely you can get better accomodation for this price somewhere else. The restaurant and bar are way to overpriced...
We spent two wonderful weeks at Sofia Sea View, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and attended to all our needs with professionalism and warmth. The hotel was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. We stayed for six nights over Christmas and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel safe and truly at home. We enjoyed the pool, the beach, the good food, and especially how the team made Christmas Eve extra special—it felt more like a celebration with friends than a hotel event. On our last day, we were kindly given a late check-out as I wasn...
Spent 5 relaxing days at Spice Island over the Christmas holiday. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. There are a lot of lounging spaces around the pool and facing the beach. Internet is good and the massage I got was better than I expected. The jetty bar is a great place for a sundowners drink, although the sun sets on the other side of the island. Food options for lunch and dinner...
Amazing people, the personal are always happy, and helpful and very kind. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable bed. Amazing beach. Good, tasty food. We had a wonderful time! Thank you for everyone 🙂
The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The pool is much larger than in other hotels, and the pier was simply unique. From there, you have direct access to the sea and a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean. The entire resort is very well maintained, and the lovingly designed garden invites you to relax. The staff were extremely friendly and always helpful. The food was excellent, we enjoyed...
Incredible location, rooms, amenities, activities and people. We were really impressed by every detail and I suspect we will be back :-)

This nice, relatively small and well maintained hotel offers everything you need. Enjoy the outstanding hospitality of a wonderful team and an excellent kitchen. We had a beautiful room on the second floor wiht a spacious balcony and a wonderful view of the beach and the ocean. The rooms was nice and very clean. We can just recommend this place! Nothign to critizice at all.

Great time in this human scale hotel , with great service , and great place . We have stayed Ten Days , i was a great experience , really peacefull. The staff is really sympathic , and we had great surprise form the staff during our romantic stay.
The hotel was very beautiful with great views of the ocean. The staff was very accomadating. With low tides in the mornings we were able to walk along the beach. This a secluded beach best for couples. Our suite was ocean front with the best views of the ocean
The hotel was very good, I would definitely come back here if I visit Zanzibar again. The service and food were of very good quality, we took the all inclusive package which I would recommend when you stay here. We just came back from Sultan Palace in Zanzibar, and honestly, words are not enough to describe the experience – it was absolutely incredible. We just spent 8 days in Zanzibar. After our initial 2 days at the North of the island, we moved to Sultan Palace for 6 days. We must admit WOW factors from beginning. The reception staff, all the restaurant staff, the housekeeping and Gardners, the beach staff and last but not least Hotel manager Mr Pradeep Kumar and his wife all deserved to be praised. The location of the hotel is excellent- so tranquil...
Beautiful hotel with very very nice people there. The view is amazing. It s calm place to enjoy and chill.
Room: We had a suite for 5 people. It had three beds. At the entrance, there was a single bed, separated by a curtain, and two double beds. The beds were very comfortable and had mosquito nets. The hotel is just okay. The rooms? Okay. The location? Far from everything so if you’re planning on going out a car is needed. The service? Good. The food? Extremely salty.
A gem of a hotel. Lovely staff, fabulous rooms, beach super quiet and picturesque. We only stayed one night, to go to kendwa which I regretted. The type of place that makes you forget work, worries, problems. Will go back! 💕

Natural Garden Boutique Hotel, Jambiani1 / 10

Work in the hotel not reported and therefore constant noise from morning to night... On our arrival, we had a wrong room for the first night in a room for 2 for 3 with faulty air conditioning which flooded the floor of the room, soaking the suitcases. Table service very average.
Excellent breakfast and a very good all-day menu. We loved the laid-back feel to the place, with wonderful sandy walkways and a pretty garden. It was simple but elegant - and the entertainment was a fantastic extra - we enjoyed live acoustic music, a fire show on the beach and on our last night a drumming show with dancing on the sand. Absolutely perfect.
The location of the hotel is picturesque. The hotel is great for those who look for peaceful and quiet vacation. WITH 11 rooms and full service, it almost felt like a private resort. The food is amazing, you must ask the chef to make you local dishes - these are exceptional. Stuff was very kind, friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs.
We would like to thank to everyone at Natural Garden Hotel. Amur, Olivia, Eric, Samuel, Isa, Ewa, and all the staff took good care of us, and our children. This stay was honestly something out of a dream. Having a room that overlooks the beach was already incredible, but the private mini pool took the whole experience to another level. Amazing location. This hotel is right on the beach and had an excellent restaurant. The management was extremely kind and went to the pharmacy for us to pick up some medication for sea sickness. We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was phenomenal and extremely accommodating. If you’re looking for a large sandy beach just steps away from your hotel this may not be your place. Had an amazing stay at Hekaya for 3 nights. The rooms, property, service, staff were amazing. The view from the room was the big reason to book this stay, and I was not disappointed at all. The people running this property are so helpful and always are there with a smile, makes your stay memorable. The best thing of stying here was going for my morning walk on the beach early morning during the sunrise...
This was our second stay at Hekaya this year. Jackline gave us a very warm welcome and took excellent care of us throughout our 17-day stay. Everything about Hekaya Zanzibar is charming. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and big. Thank you Jennifer for such a great job! The views of the Indian Ocean spectacular! Great location right on the beach, good service and friendly staff. Not many rooms so quiet, but has everything you'd need. Food especially is very good, all fresh produce with a different menu each evening, usually featuring the catch of the day. Recommended!
A wonderful beach experience on the east coast of Zanzibar. The villa itself is set in a small but gorgeous garden, beautifully maintained by John, the gardener. It fronts onto a long, beautiful beach, safe for swimming and with plenty of boats that will take you snorkelling etc. There are several seafront eateries where pole pole is embraced. A Truly Unforgettable Stay at Zanbluu We stayed at Zanbluu Hotel for one week, and it was absolutely incredible! Amazing hotel right on the beach. The pools are great and the food and service at restaurant are spectacular. Highly recommend!!
All clean and very polite staff. Breakfast was amazing.
I absolutely loved this hotel. The location was perfect, it was in the heart of stone town. Felt very safe, also felt like you were living like a local. The room was very spacious. The food was great. Breakfast had many options & the food from the restaurant was a 10/10. There’s also many things to do in the area such as shop, museums or even restaurants.
The hotel is great, we were treated very well and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped.
Best bed and breakfast we've ever been to.. We had spent our honeymoon there and couldn't have been more happier that we picked Tembo b&b..
Good location - in the center of everything in Stone town. They don’t have water coolers for clients - you have to go to the restaurant to refill. Also: it seems they bought another building. So they accommodated us in like 200 meters from main facility. Surely it’s kind of inconvenient but still ok.

Everything was clean and the grounds were nicely maintained. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times and the food was good but the portions were huge. Food very average .when ordering fish ask for medium rare it seems to be over cooked wherever you go.Seaview cottages were lovely with a much welcomed breeze.Only one small mirror in bathroom and one plug behind bed.The bar was expensive. The service in resturant and bar hardly existed was very poor .Went to get my own orders eventually. If you can overlook this the accommodation is good and security...

At Masons Hotel, the stay was excellent. However, I was charged two nights instead of one night: Checked in on !st August (paid 100$ cash plus 178.00 through ATM for two rooms at $85) and checked out on 2nd August As per transaction below: Please assist with a reimbersument: Share your email address for details.
It is really having a peaceful, quiet atmosphere, truely home away from home. Their services are great and the staffs are really calm and you can sense that they are experienced and respectful. I loved my stay over this Hotel
The good: The room (king size bed) I was in was spacious and comfortable and had all the services (refrigerator, toilet, wardrobes.. Etc) were provided and operational The bad: the internet connection is free BUT the system for connecting is annoying (you have a single use user and pass and you have to try every combination until you reach one that connects you)
I stayed at this hotel for 3 days during Ramadan. The room that I stayed on the first day was not comfortable. The shower was broken and the room felt congested. We quickly requested to move our room and they did. The next room was perfect. After you check in make sure u check the shower. The breakfast is not so good, a few minutes walk you can find stone town cafe/puzzle cafe. Thanks to mazsons team...

I cannot say enough about this place! Stayed in October and had a fabulous 5 days! Staff was so friendly and helpful, they always greeted you with a smile and asked how you were. The place is immaculately clean rooms are large and quiet. Breakfast is super everything about it was absolutely wonderful. Just a short walk to any shopping you may want to do and a 24 hour grocery store is within minutes...
We stayed at Mahali for four nights in September 2025. This was part of our honeymoon trip. We thought this hotel was absolutely stunning! We were in awe when we walked in to the grounds of this hotel, the pool and the beach were amazing. We even got to see a whole monkey family in the trees at the resort which we loved! During our stay in Zanzibar we stayed in Stonetown, Nungwi and Paje, and Paje...
I stayed in the Zazu suite and it’s very nice but also right above the restaurant and music doesn’t turn off until around 10. The property is clean and the staff is very nice. They made scheduling taxis pretty easy. There was no mosquito net in my room and so I actually was bit by more mosquitos here than on safari. Overall was a nice stay and would recommend.
Great hotel: good food (service at the restaurant slowly), all are VERY NICE & WELCOMING, clean, big rooms, great location, service was amazing. Only 1 thing: Weak water flow on shower
Our last week on Zanzibar was spent on the best hotel i ever stayed in. Everything was great, rooms, pool, food and best of all the Lovely staff
