Amazing place to be!!! Staff so kind located directly on the beach is it a paradise.
We had a very beautiful stay at this Hotel! The staff was very friendly and carrying. Thanks for the nice time.
Sevice was very good. We d like to change something. And the owner did everything to make our stay comftable.
An Unforgettable Experience in Zanzibar
My partner and I were lucky enough to spend three days at this beautiful hotel overlooking the sea, in the heart of the village of Pwani Mchangani. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed not only by the staff, who were always attentive and kind, but also by the local culture, which made us feel right at home.
The atmosphere of this place is magical...
First do not leave your valuables in the room, we missed 200$ after the first room cleaning. The place is on the beach and it s nice, but the room is overrun, walls are degrading, the toilet, sink, shower are rusty... We payed almost 150$ per night but the place should not be more than 50... Surely you can get better accomodation for this price somewhere else. The restaurant and bar are way to overpriced...
We spent two wonderful weeks at Sofia Sea View, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and attended to all our needs with professionalism and warmth. The hotel was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. Our room was spacious and offered all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The food at Sofia Sea View hotel was excellent...

This stay was honestly something out of a dream. Having a room that overlooks the beach was already incredible, but the private mini pool took the whole experience to another level. Sitting in the pool while enjoying the endless ocean view it truly felt like an infinity escape. Waking up to the sound of the waves and that uninterrupted view of the sea was so peaceful and refreshing. It’s the kind...
Amazing location. This hotel is right on the beach and had an excellent restaurant. The management was extremely kind and went to the pharmacy for us to pick up some medication for sea sickness. This hotel could use some refreshing. My room air-conditioner leaked all over my clothes. But they were very efficient in drying my clothes. One suggestion I would make is that the rooms that are not in...
Requested and got the best room...seafront with the sound of the sea plus the colours of the water made this a very memorable stay.Great pool to be a lounge lizard if desired.Beautiful surroundings and quiet atmosphere.Service and staff exceptional. N.B.It's a one and half hour drive from to/ the airport.Don't let that deter you!
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was phenomenal and extremely accommodating. If you’re looking for a large sandy beach just steps away from your hotel this may not be your place. There is a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean and a very small and rocky beach area. It was extremely quiet and family friendly! We enjoyed being away from crowds of tourists and vendors. One thing to improve upon is...
Just returned from this great hotel last week, Myself and Wife had eleven nights staying in a ocean front deluxe room which was well appointed with a comfortable bed and smashing views over the sea/reef, fitted our needs completely. The swimming pool area was well maintained and serviced with just a handful of guests on most days offering such a relaxing and tranquil experience, so good that we only...
Tucked away in a quieter part of Nungwi, Warere Beach Hotel is a charming escape with 19 thoughtfully designed rooms, including family suites and oceanfront accommodations. Each room features air conditioning, WiFi, terraces or balconies, and safes, ensuring comfort and convenience. Had an amazing stay at Hekaya for 3 nights. The rooms, property, service, staff were amazing. The view from the room was the big reason to book this stay, and I was not disappointed at all. The people running this property are so helpful and always are there with a smile, makes your stay memorable. The best thing of stying here was going for my morning walk on the beach early morning during the sunrise...
This was our second stay at Hekaya this year. Jackline gave us a very warm welcome and took excellent care of us throughout our 17-day stay. Her honest and genuine personality makes you feel like you are truly part of the Hekaya family. We would also like to say a big thank you to the entire staff, including John the gardener and Mr. Pool Man 😂 — and especially for supplying us with hundreds of papayas...
Everything about Hekaya Zanzibar is charming. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and big. Thank you Jennifer for such a great job! The views of the Indian Ocean spectacular! The staff could not be friendlier and accomodating. I wondered if they have okra and I got it! Fresh salads, seafood, meats. Every dinner different. Tariq, Dennis and Mohammed were always friendly and we had some good conversations...
Great location right on the beach, good service and friendly staff. Not many rooms so quiet, but has everything you'd need. Food especially is very good, all fresh produce with a different menu each evening, usually featuring the catch of the day. Recommended!
A wonderful beach experience on the east coast of Zanzibar. The villa itself is set in a small but gorgeous garden, beautifully maintained by John, the gardener. It fronts onto a long, beautiful beach, safe for swimming and with plenty of boats that will take you snorkelling etc. There are several seafront eateries where pole pole is embraced. Small, with only 5 rooms, its perfect for a relaxing...
Here is the English translation: ⸻ It was the holiday of a lifetime, all thanks to the fact that we could spend it at Hekaya. Everything was amazing! The hotel was beautiful and very well-maintained! The entire staff was lovely, extremely helpful and attentive. The view from the window — a dream come true! The beach was like something out of a fairy tale! And the food — incredible! Traditional hotel right in centre of town. Great location and charming roof top dining area. Comfortable cool and highly recommended.
The shower could use updating and amenities in the bedrooms (bar soap, face tissues)
It was in line with expectations. The hotel is in a good location, but it is not convenient to drive in. You need to walk a stone road to get in. The room space is a bit cramped. Because of the spacing between old buildings, the windows are basically directly next to the building opposite. I booked late and there were no other room types to choose from. I was mentally prepared in advance. There is...
The hotel is in Stone Town, close to the road outside. The breakfast is good. The restaurant is on the rooftop with a nice view of the sea. The room is clean and sanitary. It is very close to the beach and very convenient. There is also a night market nearby, but it is not recommended as it will cheat tourists. Overall, it is recommended.
Realy LOVE this hotel. Super location, beautiful old building with great views from the rooftop restaurant. comfy big rooms, nice pool, and superfriendly en helpful staff. Would defenitely come back if I have the chance.
It's good, but there is no parking space. It cost 20 dollars to park on the street.

This boutique resort is a must visit for anyone traveling to Zanzibar.
The rooms are perfect for any couple visiting, with private water closet, rain head showers that are roomy and spacious.
Beds are comfortable with mosquito netting; the staff offers mosquito spraying and turndown service every night. There are TVs and small refrigerators in the rooms, with fresh water provided daily for guests....
Amazing place with incredible service and hospitality. Private suites with small private swimming pool directly at sea front. Incredibly nice staff which help you with all your needs and trips. Especially Sammy from the staff who was the kindest person! He made our stay very special.
A Truly Unforgettable Stay at Zanbluu
We stayed at Zanbluu Hotel for one week, and it was absolutely incredible! The food was outstanding, and our front-row bungalow with a private pool right on the beach was pure paradise. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the staff—they were so friendly and welcoming, and they treated my 4-year-old son with such care and kindness. We felt at home...
Quiet Luxury With Beautiful Views!!!
We spent two days at Zanbluu Hotel and loved the quiet and luxurious atmosphere. The views are picturesque, especially around the pool area, and the overall ambiance is perfect for relaxation. The food was decent, and the staff were always helpful and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. A great place to unwind in Zanzibar.
We had the most wonderful experience. We stayed for 22 nights. Food outstanding, place absolutely stunning. Looks even better than the pictures. Rooms on the front with plunge pool and swimming pool are breathtaking and the service is second to none. Couldn’t ask for anything better.
Special mention to Sammy, Charles, Samsung and Harriet. We absolutely adore you all and you couldn’t do enough for...
Absolutely fantastic place!
The room, the staff, the food, the ambience, were all just lovely.
Outside shower for the suite was a very nice touch that we truly enjoyed.
Only downside to consider is that the beach is not so accommodating for swimming especially at low tide.

Here we go. This is Africa and this is an African hotel. Not everything is going to be perfect…..but this is our third time in Zanzibar and it is a great place to relax. As a solo traveller, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect retreat. The peaceful surroundings, gentle ocean breeze, and quiet beaches made it an ideal place to relax. The staff and I mean all the staff whether at the reception, restaurant, bar, pool, beach, spa, housekeeping or maintenance are very polite, friendly, cheerful and very helpful. Amazing hotel right on the beach. The pools are great and the food and service at restaurant are spectacular. Highly recommend!!
All clean and very polite staff. Breakfast was amazing.
I absolutely loved this hotel. The location was perfect, it was in the heart of stone town. Felt very safe, also felt like you were living like a local. The room was very spacious. The food was great. Breakfast had many options & the food from the restaurant was a 10/10. There’s also many things to do in the area such as shop, museums or even restaurants.
The hotel is great, we were treated very well and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped.
Best bed and breakfast we've ever been to.. We had spent our honeymoon there and couldn't have been more happier that we picked Tembo b&b..
Good location - in the center of everything in Stone town. They don’t have water coolers for clients - you have to go to the restaurant to refill.
Also: it seems they bought another building. So they accommodated us in like 200 meters from main facility. Surely it’s kind of inconvenient but still ok.

Tucked away, secluded and relaxing. Rooms with amazing views. Good food, private beach, quiet and serenity.
The hotel feels like a home away from home. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Every meal I ate at the hotel was delicious. I also had a full body massage and felt rejuvenated afterwards. I will definitely be coming back any chance I get.
The Villa Fleur de Lys warmly welcomed us and our 20 friends for our wedding overseas. You will be stunned the first time you crossed the door and see the great view the villa offers you.
Furthermore, Zoe, Mona and Baraka were always available to help us plan our weeding day and trip. All the staff was so kind and professionnal.
Surely we will get back to the villa as this is the perfect place to disconnect...
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. One of the few places that felt human. The service was so warm and friendly unlike many of the other places I've stayed in Zanzibar. So charming, peaceful and beautiful. It felt like staying at home.
Great staff. They are friendly and helpful. Food was good. Lives the weather.. Even the storm was exciting. Went to Makunduchi village. We saw lots of culture and we had local food too. We had a personal driver who was very safe. Will definitely be back

Everything was clean and the grounds were nicely maintained. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times and the food was good but the portions were huge. The management and staff were very nice and kind.
I hope someone is looking out for the kitties on the property. 🐈

The beach was awesome with great sunsets. Had a two twin bed room that was converted to a queen by combining the beds. Located perfectly in the centre of Stone Town, really near Fredy Mercury’s house. The building has a cool vintage look and feel, and is well maintained. The rooms are spacious and some have a view. It is really having a peaceful, quiet atmosphere, truely home away from home. Their services are great and the staffs are really calm and you can sense that they are experienced and respectful. I loved my stay over this Hotel
The good: The room (king size bed) I was in was spacious and comfortable and had all the services (refrigerator, toilet, wardrobes.. Etc) were provided and operational
The bad: the internet connection is free BUT the system for connecting is annoying (you have a single use user and pass and you have to try every combination until you reach one that connects you)

This resort is really comfortable clean and well maintained grounds and pool. Ocean view and many activities along the beach.
Onsite restaurant, bar, massage and beach access with chairs & towels. Great friendly staff and accomdating.
Review of Wasabi, Restaurant inside the Cristal Resort, I confirm my previous review, perfect location in Paje, beautiful private beach, simple resort, nice environment, however it is a bit sad, no atmosphere, no music, staff not particularly welcoming. We wanted to eat Uramaki and we went back to Wasabi, we ordered more types of Uramaki, with raw tuna, vegetarian, and with shrimp, all good and well...
Cristal would be a great resort so long as you’re not there on music night - the pounding music started before 6pm and was supposed to finish at midnight but actually finished at 2am. All this was less than 50 metres from both the restaurant (making conversation difficult) and from a number of rooms including several for our group (so struggled to sleep). And all for less than 20 people.
And to make...
I wholeheartedly recommend the Cristal Resort in Zanzibar for an enchanting escape. Nestled amid stunning surroundings, this resort offers a unique blend of elegance and comfort. The attention to detail in the design, coupled with personalized service, creates a truly luxurious experience. The Cristal Resort's commitment to showcasing local culture and flavors is evident in its exceptional dining options

Pretty average. I don't know if it's good for the price because it was booked by our safari group, but it has all that you need. The AC is excellent, there's American movie channels. The wifi was slow at times but overall fine. The shower pressure was average, didn't get too hot when I took one. We were able to check in a little early though.
While the hotel's opulence came at a premium, the breakfast experience fell disappointingly short and my wife did not mince her words about it to the staff and management, leaving much to be desired. A stark contrast to the luxurious setting and relatively good rooms, the morning offerings were surprisingly subpar, diminishing the overall satisfaction of the stay!

Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing lodge.
We spent three lovely days at Simba Beach lodge.
The hosts were so lovely and they have two adorable daughters who were the sweetest ever.
It is right by the beach so it was great to walk out from the room directly to the sea.

Highly recommend!

Smiles was lovely. Comfortable rooms, ok breakfast, very nice dinners. Always fishing boats to watch when the tide is in. Great swimming beach when the tide was coming and going. I would recommend this small non alcoholic Beach Hotel. Lots of shopping and restaurants just outside their gate. Security was very good.
Very nice hotel, staff is super friendly and sunset view is fantastic

My experience was excellent; the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive to anything we needed. The food was very good.
Great value for money!
Fantastic 3 star hotel in Nungwi!
Great location in a quiet part of Nungwi. Private beach area with no salesmen. BEAUTIFUL outdoor area! Very kind employees from Reception to Spa, cleaning and Restaurant. Rooms are spacious with sufficient room for 3 big single/queen beds and luggage without it feeling crammed. Simple interior but we were only in the room for sleeping and it...
Staff was attentive, friendly and polite , love the cleanliness of the room.

For starters, you should know that this resort is now called the Mambo Ocean Resort. We stayed here for three nights and four days in October 2024. We paid a little extra and had a nicer room, in the back of the resort, which has access to its own pool and is a bit quieter than the rooms on the beach which are next to the restaurant and the resort next door. Our room was up-to-date, had everything...
I lived in early October 2022. I came with a volunteer mission. Wonderful hotel, good staff, chic arrangement 2 steps from the ocean. Delicious food, squid in batter. Hotel owners are a man from Italy and his life partner from England. I liked absolutely everything! Breakfast ingredients are not much different from many hotels in Zanzibar, but the breakfast service is well presented!
Nice beach, perfect location, excellent staff and they have weekend vibe.
Beautiful place, good food, nice staff, have privet beach ❤️
For walk in sea and see nice staf inside we pay 30€ ( its to much) after walk we get info 10 € its normal price 🤪 but i recomend do it with some guys who can tell and show everything, its amazing ❤️
In hotel we get better price then booking give us (35€/for night) ⭐
Very nice hotel, everything is super clean, very safe, has a private beach, so you are safe from all the local sellers.
Waikiki is an absolutely amazing place that I highly recommend for anyone staying in Zanzibar. The bungalows are beautiful and very well kept, less than a minute walk to a white sandy beach that has clear blue shallow water perfect for swimming. The view of the sunrise in the morning is the most stunning on the island. The staff is nothing short than spectacular in every way. Everyone is very friendly...
