The Aristo Resort in Surin

I made the reservation through Booking, it is a total scam, I booked an apartment near the pool, they gave me a 28m2 studio apartment, it is not a resort and a building still under construction, broken tiles everywhere, there is a gym, you just need a little imagination, cleaning is not included, they give you two towels and you have to keep them for the duration of the holiday, there is no reception service, the furniture is evident that it has at least 4/5 years of wear in fact the doors of the furniture cabinets are crooked, the hot water comes and goes .... the shower never maintains the jet and the chosen temperature. The location is very uncomfortable, moreover it is not even quiet because there is an outdoor gym of Thai boxing at all hours from early in the morning... the area offers nothing, it is not close to the sea even if they make it seem like you have to walk for at least 15 minutes through small streets... honestly I only believe it is a scam... stay away, unfortunately 1/2 star cannot be given, not even zero stars... I had to give only one. Another thing is the TV in the room does not work, they gave me the modem that did not work and the remote control was broken, the cable TV does not work, because perhaps the centralized antenna is not active... good

The Aristo resort is a condotel, with apartment privately owned and rented out by the owners. This place has a major problem : it is right next door to a Thai boxing gym, which is very, very noisy, especially in the morning. You get woken up sometimes as early as 7.30 AM by shouting and banging and noises of blows coming from downstairs. It is unbearable. Only the side facing the gym is impacted by the noise (the quiet side is the side facing towards the sea).
On a more positive note, the pools are good and well maintained, but beware of what you rent there, the rooms are tiny (32 sqm) and may appear a lot bigger on the pictures shown on renting platforms (using a wide angle camera). Our room was way too expensive for the space we got. It is understandable that owners seeking to rent out their unit for a hefty price will emphasize the pools and not the noise and the tiny space, so buyers beware, it is not what it seems.
