Bill Resort in Lamai Beach

Avoid!!! This hotel has not been taken care of in decades!

-Rooms are soo dated (worst than your last worst hotel)
-Water pressure in the shower is very very law.
- Room is not covered with windows > A/C just flaws out of the room
- Simple things like removing the weed plants from the walking path was not done.

Simply the hotel looks like it was abandoned for a decade.

Don’t be fooled by 100 THB less price than most of the other good hotels in the area..

The location was okay because it’s just a walking distance to the restaurant, stores, atm machines and convenient stores. But the room really needs renovation, knowing the resort is quite old and the bathroom has a molds and stuff and there is always water from the shower got stock on the bathroom floor and it stays there until it feels slimy when you walk to the bathroom/toilet. We stay there for 3 nights but they never clean our room.

If you’re thinking about booking Bill Resort because of its 3-star rating, think again—this place barely deserves 1 star. It looks like an abandoned campground, complete with broken housing materials scattered across the property. There are cut tree branches left lying around like someone gave up halfway through cleaning, and the cement ponds that might have once been charming are now garbage dumps filled with debris.

The room was a disaster.
• Exposed old wires sticking out of the walls—because who doesn’t love a little electrical hazard on vacation?
• The toilet seat was covered in black mold—not just a little, but all over the lid.
• The curtains had brown stains—and I didn’t want to know why.
• The floor and ceiling looked like a DIY patch job gone wrong—multiple colors and textures everywhere, like a renovation that’s been started and abandoned 10 times.
• Housekeeping? Once every four days, which is apparently generous by their standards.

Pros (because I’m trying to be fair):
• Good location—close to town if you need to escape.
• AC worked well, which you’ll need while sweating through your disbelief.
• Friendly staff—they’re nice but can’t fix how terrible the place is.
• Pool was clean and the shower was hot—small blessings in this dismal experience.

For a place rated as 3 stars, it’s a joke—I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. We stayed at much nicer places in the area for the same price or less. This was by far the worst accommodation I’ve ever experienced in Southeast Asia.

Do yourself a favor—stay anywhere else.
