Bonny Hotel 4 Floors No Elevator in Lamai Beach

It was late when I arrived at the hotel, and at first I wasn’t sure I had made the right choice. The building has an old-fashioned look and is over 20 years old, so I even considered booking somewhere else. However, that feeling quickly changed—it turned out to be an amazing stay at this wonderful family-run hotel. Although my room was older, it didn’t bother me at all after settling in. The hotel is currently planning renovations, as they have newly built rooms just a few steps away, which I would recommend booking. The owners and staff made my stay truly pleasant, were incredibly kind and attentive to anything I needed. The hotel is room-only accommodation and also rents motorcycles, which is very convenient. It’s tucked away on a quiet side road, yet only a few minutes’ walk from the lovely sandy Lamai Beach, so everything you need is close by. I would highly recommend this charming place to everyone. I was genuinely sad to leave, it felt like being at home but in Thailand. Will be back again for sure.

The room was big n clean. Mattress was hard (ok for me) n pillow was on a high side for me. Lady at the front desk n the cleaning ladies were nice. The walls has no isolation so could hear everything. Still, it was fairly quiet outside at night. The only thing I dislike was the AC went off automatically about 3-4am so have to restart again. It looks cheap to see hotel laundry hanging on the railing.

3rd stay in 15 years Bonny is a small, very comfortable hotel in a great location on Lamai. It has parking and offers scooters for rent, possibility of giving your laundry to be washed. Possibility of organizing excursions etc... Each room has air conditioning, tea, coffee, toaster, water heater, on request hairdryer. Bedding and bath towels changed every day. That's the practical side now let's move on to the feeling.... It's old-fashioned Thailand.... Nong the owner and the lady at the reception are fully attentive and are unfailingly kind and friendly. You will have genuine smiles from the heart and constant availability. We warmly recommend it

This is decent hotel and definitely value for money. The main thing for me is the rooms are large and have a balcony, so you have room to breathe and move around! There is a nice plunge pool, and the gardens to the front are pleasant. A five minute walk from the main street, restaurants, bars and the beach.

Me and my partner stayed for 2 nights in Lamai and we were greeted with the warmest welcome. We were called by our names the whole time we were there which felt nice and personal. Receptionists offered to help us with tours/taxi’s and give directions to the beach and places to eat. They offered a washing service at a great price and they even had sewn a piece of clothing for me and did not ask for recognition of this. The room was great and was one of our favourites in Thailand. We liked that there was a smart TV for watching favourite TV programmes while on our travels! Overall great experience and I can understand why customers would return

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights and couldn’t recommend it enough! The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel itself is in a great location and the pool is fantastic also, my only complaint would be that a lot of the time there is no one at reception so you have to go find a member of staff but they’re always close by. Overall I highly recommend staying here if you are in Koh Samui.

A hotel with modest amenities in the center of Lamai for a budget holiday. Old renovation. For unpretentious travelers. The beach is 8 minutes walk. Very nice staff. Purely.

The hotel is very central but enjoys an inside alley location that keeps it quiet despite being 50 meters from the busy main street. my room was large, comfortable, with a balcony watching the nice garden, a fridge, kettle, even a toaster and of course air con and a very comfy bed. The managing ladies are very hospitable, the mild cats are a bonus.
