We checked into the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort today. The check-in process itself was smooth, and the resort grounds look beautiful and well-maintained.
However, we encountered a significant problem with our room assignment. We were given a room on the first floor, which is a major disadvantage for us as we have a baby and a stroller. Carrying a stroller, a baby, and all the stairs is very inconvenient and simply not practical.
We asked to be moved to a ground-floor room, but unfortunately, the staff at the front desk informed us that no other rooms were available. The suggested solution was for us to book a different room ourselves for the following night via Booking.com or potentially pay for an upgrade.
This was very disappointing. As guests who have already booked and paid for a stay, we expect the hotel to be more accommodating and find a solution for us, rather than placing the burden on us to re-book through a third-party website.

Great hotel with great staff. We were helped everywhere possible. Everything very clean. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Fresh delicious fruit. The Thai food for dinner was authentic and tasty (pretty sure no MSG was used fortunately). Jeen(?) in the lobby was always smiley and friendly. We will definitely come back. :)

Very nice hotel for families, 2 pools, direct access to the beach (not private), free breakfast for kids, plate and glasses for kids. Food is good and includes a few vegetarian options. The personnel is so kind and helpful. We had a private yoga lesson it was very nice. Kids club is nice and there are 1-2 people from the staff with the kids inside. You can have a massage by the pool and in the spa. You can borrow kayak and paddle from the hotel. There are a few laundry services in front of the hotel. Welcome drink with cold towels at your arrival were so nice. Airport transfer and a 60 minutes couple massage for free.

A very nice hotel. Location is perfect: right at the beginning of Chaweng do you can walk down the whole street in one direction. Also the beach is really nice and clean. Staff is extremely nice and helpful - we feel totally safe and welcome here. Prices might be a little high but hey: it's a four star hotel, what do you expect.
Only downside might be the airplanes... But to be honest, you get used to them and it is actually pretty cool seeing them flying right above your head . Other than that it is actually pretty quite, specially considering that it's right in the touristy party zone.
What note can I say: go there to see for yourself... I can recommend it!

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Chaweng Regent Beach resort and cannot recommend it highly enough. Our room was 203 and whilst the bathroom took my breath away, I would say that if you wanted a quieter nights sleep to stay further into the resort nearer to the beach. However, that being said the room was glorious and had a balcony and as already stated, the bathroom was out of this world. The resort was extremely clean and well maintained and looked after. The staff all provided a five star service and nothing was too much trouble. For us the location was perfect and right at the top of the main strip where all of the restaurants and bars are located. We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast each morning was absolutely glorious. I must admit that the beach wasn’t as picturesque as I had hoped but if you walk a little further up, you will not be disappointed. The food in the hotel itself was very yummy and extremely well presented. There’s a choice of two swimming pools with the garden pool having a more relaxed vibe. It was always possible to get a sunbed whatever time throughout the day. We would definitely book this hotel again and would highly recommend anyone considering booking, to do so now as you will not be disappointed!

Great location, calm hotel which is super important because the main street can get hectic. We didn't get breakfast, ratherenjoyed many of the restaurants that are in Chawang. The pool are is really beautiful, whole place is filled wity greenery. The bathroom can be enhanced with another towel rack, we only had one hook for a towel.

Terrible Experience - Don’t Book Here
We made a reservation less than 24 hours in advance, and upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the resort didn’t live up to the photos online. The service was awful. We wanted to cancel as soon as we saw the place, but they only care about your money. Canceling wasn’t an option, and there was no room for negotiation.
The manager didn’t even bother to come out of the office. At first, a trainee tried to handle the situation, and when we pushed further, a staff member came over, but still no sign of the manager. It’s disgraceful that a place like this operates with such poor management and lack of accountability.
Honestly, the positive reviews surprise me. There are much better resorts on this island—don’t waste your time and money here. Stay away!

I Completely Agree with the Other Reviews
This hotel is nothing like what it claims to be. The room was outdated and didn’t meet expectations at all. Despite the nice surroundings, the overall experience was far from five-star quality.

Stay away - overpriced and disappointing
We just arrived, and it immediately went downhill. We thought breakfast was included, like in most five-star hotels,h but it wasn’t. Reception didn’t care and offered no help.
We wanted to cancel right then, but things got even worse when we saw the room. It’s old, rundown, and nothing like the photos. To top it off, the minibar was empty. The only positive thing is the beautiful surroundings, but that doesn’t make up for the poor quality.
For a hotel in this price range, this is far from what you’d expect. Stay away! This place is severely overpriced.

Been here several times. Wife and I love it. Close to shops. Beach and bars. Very clean rooms! Will stay again.

To be clear: didn't stay here but spent some time at the beach bar P&P. Friends wanted to have shisha (which technically is illegal apparently in Thailand). Service is "just ok" but the guy running the bar is borderline rude, unfriendly, totally not motivated... And drinks are not cheap.
