Chada Mantra Hotel in Chiang Mai City

I stayed at Chada Mantra Hotel in Chiang Mai Old City from 26 December to 29 December 2025, and it was a truly pleasant experience from start to finish. Location: The hotel is perfectly located inside the Old City, making it very easy to explore temples, cafés, local markets, and massage spots on foot. Everything feels close, yet the area around the hotel remains calm and relaxed, which is ideal after a long day of sightseeing. Ambiance: The ambiance of the hotel is peaceful and charming, with a traditional Lanna-style touch that blends beautifully with modern comfort. The overall environment feels cozy, clean, and well-maintained, giving a very welcoming impression the moment you step in. Hospitality: The staff deserve special appreciation. Everyone was polite, warm, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. From check-in to check-out, they made us feel comfortable and well taken care of, always ready to assist with a smile. Room (Superior Room with Balcony): We stayed in a Superior Room with a balcony, and it was excellent. The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. The balcony was a highlight, offering a nice roadside view that added a lovely local feel, especially in the mornings and evenings. It was a great spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The bed was comfortable, and overall the room felt very well suited for a couple. Overall, Chada Mantra Hotel is a great choice for anyone looking to stay in Chiang Mai Old City with comfort, character, and excellent service. I would happily recommend it to couples and travellers who want a peaceful stay in a prime location, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Great smaller sized hotel in the Old City area of Chiang Mai. Location is perfect - you can walk straight out onto one lane alleyways that have everything you (we) need. Plenty of places to eat, drink, have massages, buy ********* (if that's your thing- it's legal here and you'll smell it often), get mango smoothies and there's nightly markets only 100 m down the laneway. Staff are efficient and helpful. Note - they don't change linen and towels daily. We stayed 14 days and asked them to change 3 times. Pool is cool but super refreshing and food in the restaurant is very nice. Have stayed here twice

The location of the ancient city is super good and lively, with convenient facilities nearby. There are delicious food, breakfast, and massage nearby. It is not too far to walk to various attractions in the ancient city. The afternoon sun and the swimming pool are super comfortable. 👍👍👍

I stayed on the top floor with 2 balconies, you have a great view of Chiang Mai, the room is very nice with enough windows to let in a lot of natural light in, the bathroom fittings surprisingly is up to western standards. The Hotel is close to almost everything in the old city. The Swimming pool was bigger than I thought. The only downsides are they don’t serve a full breakfast but there’s very nice cafes a few meters away to eat a good breakfast.

First time in Chiang Mai
Great stay at this hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. Close to a wide range of restaurants and lots of temples within the Old City walls. Would recommend this hotel.

The room is a bit small and it's hard to put luggage, but everything else is fine

We stayed in the chada mantra hotel for 4 nights . I have to say how pleasantly surprised we were when we got to the hotel . For the price we paid for the stay I expected it to be basic however it definitely was not . The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room looked like it had been recently refurbished and was very clean . Bed was comfortable . Had a lovely little balcony ideal for people watching . The little pool was refreshing and very clean . The hotel is very central with lots of places to eat and drink nearby. However it’s not noisy . We definitely recommend staying here
