Pros: Excellent location close to Tha Phae Gate, yet relatively quiet as it is tucked away in a small alley. It offers easy access to the Sunday Night Market, though it can get a bit noisy during this time

The cleaning staff came around every day, providing fresh towels, toilet rolls, and a bottle of water. There’s free tea and coffee available all day and night downstairs, which was a great touch

We stayed at Rendezvous Oldtown Chiangmai for 6 nights in a double room with a private bathroom. Overall, it was a good stay and good value for money. The service was friendly and welcoming

We only received one large towel, and there was no hairdryer available. Additionally, I think the swimming pool hours could be extended to at least 10 PM

We just checked in today for 3 pax for this whole week. Room is big and floors and bathroom is clean. Biggest setback is there's no cupboard for us to hang clothes,no hangers or hooks for towels,no hand towels

Location is a bit outskirt of the town centre. However surrounding is filled with Muslim food operators. Room is a bit limited but enough for the stay. Swimming pool is quite small but OK for short dip

CHU is a very small hotel in a calm corner of chieang mai. I love breakfast here, varieties of tradition and local menu. The room is clean. You can reach historical sites and local market by walking distance.

I’m very surprised to read that others thought there weren’t lots of restaurant options close enough - we went to SO MANY and ate so much local food. There are many restaurants and two 7/11 very close by

Coffee or me has great coffee and matcha. There is also a Cafe called Taste of Art coffee roaster only 1km away that makes delicious eggs, bagels, smoothies bowls

When we visited, the gardens were virtually deserted of visitors apart from an exceptionally noisy tour group ( many of whom didn’t bother wearing masks) who fortunately arrived just ahead of us and were being driven around the gardens having been allowed about 30minutes for the tour! As usual in Thailand, foreigners are charged more than Thais…200 baht with 100 baht for Thais

Throughout the parks are several cafes some of which were closed and the one we visited, the service was incredibly slow to the extent that my partner has almost finished her drink by the time mine arrived, it was exactly service with a smile either! Several hours later, we arrived back at the entrance/exit, exhausted but so happy with what we had seen

One thing that is necessary is a fully charged phone/camera battery! There are all sorts of different gardens and areas to visit including the international section where individual gardens of different countries are on display

It's a bit out of town but restaurant not far away. The Royal Gardens are great and you get free entry and bicycle hire with hotel. We walked every morning through the gardens. There are rooms set up for wheelchairs

A helpful map is provided and every 15 minutes or so, the electric buses run on a hop on hop off basis. We chose to walk much of the way although if you’re visiting in the afternoon, the heat may prove too much

This wasn’t our first visit to these magnificent gardens and it certainly won’t be our last. You need to build in several hours if you want to see everything and believe me, there’s much to see

The swimming pool is smaller than it looks in the photos, but the atmosphere of the place is warm and charming. Rooms on the ground floor may get some noise from people walking by, but overall the bedroom is comfortable

The room was beautiful and clean, and the location was good. However, on the day we checked in, it seemed like the water pump broke, and the repair was quite slow. The housekeeper was lovely!

A very simple and quiet homestay, with Japanese tatami in the room, clean and comfortable, spacious and bright. If you are prone to mosquitoes, you can buy some mosquito repellent at the 7-11 next door and spray it first

My partner and I recently spent two nights at Hotel Aono in Chiang Mai, and it was the perfect peaceful retreat after busy days of exploring

This place advertises a pool, technically this is true; BUT Its 2min walk at another “Arch39” hostel through the back, under cover, in a carpark and is approx 5m x 3m in size

We walked over looking forward to relax and turned back immediately when we saw. Unless you’d like to sit on a car bonnet I’d reccomend not booking here for the pool

However do note that there's no elevator in the hotel, so carrying up luggage might be tough( but staffs were ready to provide assistance) We arrived early way before check in time, and they allowed us to check in earlier!!! Mac (owner's husband) provided good recommendations of places to visit

The hotel also had motorbikes for rental. They will arrange for bikes from motorbike rental company and they will send the bike to hotel and pick it up from hotel

Rooms were fine, kids enjoyed the room (slide and climbing walk) really kids friendly

Nice and cheap in a great location close to old town. I spent one night here with my partner in a double bed shared dorm with approximately 8 other double beds

Villa is located in the center of the city, very close to shopping mall, bar, cafe and restaurant, so very easy to connect to any place by walk! Also they have 1 way free private transfer between villa and airport!

Hotel is modern with minimalist concept. It is walking distance to many eateries and the Nimman surrounding is buzzing and interesting.

Can’t go wrong staying here, so close to all locations, a grand old place to stay providing a great breakfast, wonderful staff and pool area is very nice. Rooms are large, have fridge, kettle and hair dryer

The hotel is located within the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient to get everywhere. It's an older hotel with excellent facilities. The only downside is that the room lighting is a bit dim.

It's super convenient to get around, close to Warorot Market and Thapae Gate, with plenty of restaurants and food stalls nearby. Even without a car, there are always buses and songthaews passing by

Like walking into an art gallery, the design of the hotel common areas and room interiors are really immaculate. The rooms are also spacious and come with balcony. Pool is small and a bit aged but nice mountain view

The pool is shared with the neighboring hotel, and the only chairs available to guests of this hotel are crappy chairs. There is often a shortage of shampoo and towels every day during cleaning

For the cheap price and just walk in, a very good choice, if you are a traveller and you can accept not perfect things. TTiu can just bring your own food and beer and sit in front of the hotel at the smoking area

There is also a driver you can book to take you to the airport, bus station and probably also private tours if you wish to. Staying at the hotel gave access to the pool at the hotel next door

It was the first time I encountered that the key given by the hotel could not open the door! It took an hour to process! The service staff went directly from other rooms and opened the door before we could enter the room! After changing the locks, we can use the room with peace of mind! Because it happened suddenly! So the hotel staff left us waiting outside the room stupidly! , I took several sets...

I have been staying there for 4 nights. Location is perfect, it's walking distance to Tha Phae gate and to a street behind which have nice breakfast (Kai Ka Ta, Mint ice cream etc)

The only thing you need to be alert of is there's no lift in the hotel (which is normal since it's in the old city, and only 4 floors), and so before I booked the hotel, I have confirm with the hotel to get the room at second floor as I am lazy to climb up the stairs with all my luggage

The receptionist is also patient and the boss also immediately came to look at the air conditioner when I reported an issue. The room is also big enough for me and it's very clean

The location is fantastic, right inside the old town. There are plenty of places to explore and eat around the guesthouse, including some great coffee shops

Our family of 4 enjoyed biking around, eating the delicious breakfasts and drinking the cappuccinos. The location was quiet and away from the action, but super easy to bike to 89 plaza or catch a grab into the city
