Hotels with beach in Ko Samui

The pool, with it's sheer drop edge overlooking Lamai beach from the hill is fabulous! The food is great, with a mix of real traditional Samui style Thai food and all your western standards

It is a wonderful place to stay in. The area is beautiful, colourful with a lot of plants everywhere. Perfect location and staff members are so kind and helpful. We will come back here later for sure.

The resort has three pools to choose from, including a fun waterslide and a serene infinity pool perfect for unwinding. The views overlooking the beach are breathtaking, especially at sunrise

They have a nice pool(appears bigger in the pictures than it is ) The breakfast was great The staff was very friendly There is a shortcut to the beach so like a 5-7min walk to the beach

And the location is ideal—just a short walk to the beach. The food was always delicious, with a breakfast spread that consistently delighted

It felt like a maze of wonder, and my inner child was in her absolute element! I was here for almost a month while completing my yoga teacher training in the beautiful on-site shala, and I had the opportunity to experience several different rooms

Arrived here two days ago for a five night stay We stayed in beach bungalow the bungalows are dated but spotless cannot fault them at all beds changed every day plus clean towels bottled water put in the fridge the cleaner singing as she is cleaning Breakfast good choice enough to keep you going for the day

- 2 night tables with nice lamps for cozy lighting - Lots of storage and hangars - Large safe - Fast elevator - Great pool - Lots of beach chairs with comfortable cushions - Friendly staff - Good breakfast buffet (we liked the whole wheat toast option and egg station) - very good coffee in the bar To improve: - In rooms 407 & 408 (at least) there was a constant intermittent clunking sound coming...

We discussed this with front desk staff and the response we got was something like “this is normal” - Some of the towels are threadbare and not so white anymore - The toilet seat was the wrong size and very loose - The coffee at the breakfast buffet was weak and watery

We stayed 3 nights at Lanai Coconut resort. The resort is centrally located and is on a really nice section of the beach. We stayed in the newer 4 story building on the 4th floor

Had evening meal in the restaurant Kong in the restaurant was amazing decorated our table with flowers the meal was fantastic. Sorry the stay is short but hopefully will be back

Like other hotels in this class, they should invest in an automatic espresso machine for the buffet - The shampoo and body soap comes in these tiny wasteful bottles instead of dispensers

Beach service is second to none. Loungers on the beach, near the beach or next to pool. Restaurant has fresh fish per kg cooked to your liking every evening. Room Service was at 3pm every day as promised

Great stay for families at Chaweng. Very quiet (besides the airplanes which hourly fly direct over the property from 7am to 9pm which was totally fine for us) with big pools directly on the beach. 

We didn't stay at the resort but we went to the beach side restaurant attached for dinner. If you like seafood, the restaurant is incredible

the beachfront very nice, Yo can laydown in front of the sea, but under the shade of an amazing pergola. My favorite place in Ko Samui

Is a very good hotel with excellent service. The location is amazing, in the heart of Chaweng, but totally quiet at night

However, the shower, the water was either really hot or really cold, nothing really in between. The staffs are very kind and friendly. A lot of choice for breakfast

I had a great stay at this resort. We booked a Plunge Pool suite which was as expected (although slightly less private and cold!). The resort is well maintained and has a beautiful pool and beach access

The hotel is great, with an excellent location. There are also beach performances in the evenings. The service is good, and it's very close to the night market

It does stay lively and a bit noisy until after midnight, but overall, I'm very satisfied

Beach is much smaller than the pics show, but it's still nice. Staff are extremely attentive and kind. Very cute room in your own personal cottage. Nice and private and quiet as well. Overall a very good experience

The room was very comfortable, and they very kindly provided some extras to celebrate the honeymoon! They also provide some very nice events - a night with drinks/snacks on the beach one night, Thai dancing/music another

Very nice resort with a nice location at chaweng beach. They such a really nice and very helpful. They can speak English very well. I do love The Poppies restaurant as well cause a food are very tasty, super delicious

Poppies was the last stop on our honeymoon and a great choice for it. The site is right on the water, so you get to eat/drink at the restaurant or bar (or on the beach chairs) watching the ocean

In general Ko Samui seemed to be pretty empty when we were there (early November) - not sure if that's all seasonal or due to changes in tourism, but it was really nice for us, as there certainly weren't crowds around

The pool was beautiful and very pleasant for the dip I took (though I mostly swam in the ocean). The restaurant was really great, and we enjoyed the breakfast's Thai options each morning

Our month-long stay at Lamai Coconut Beach Resort was nothing short of perfect – truly a home away from home! First and foremost, the staff deserve a huge 5 stars

had the bungalow right by the beach, and I can confirm that it’s worth paying a bit extra. It was truly beautiful, with a sea view and direct beach access

The hotel is nice with friendly staff. It has an excellent location on the beach. The tree with wide branches under which the deck chairs are placed, offers generous shadow during the entire day.

Lovely, quiet beach front resort. We had a second row, partial, sea view superior bungalow from February 8 to 11, 2025. Staff let us check in 4 hours early. Room is dated but very clean and has everything you need

The sun loungers on the beach were not as well maintained as those at the neighboring hotels

Depends what you are looking for in a beach resort of this price range. Pros: clean, air con powerful and cool, strong water pressure and water heats fast. Has an elevator to room for those not staying in chalets

Pros: Very good location: close to beach, several pools, outdoor showers, close to restaurants and shops, but far enough away for it not to be noisy (depending on room type, though)

We had coffee making facilitiy in our room and a safe deposit box. All in all a really good choice. We used the fitness room which was ok and the swimming pool is stunning facing the beach

The staff here and so friendly, I can highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay in Lamai

Good place for all ages, child-friendly, quite atmosphere. Mediocre breakfast, but perfectly adequate. Friendly staff in the bar/restaurant, but not always as service-minded in the reception

We stayed here in one of these huts in 2000 for the millennium celebrations, I am writing this review in 2024 and they look no different. We had cold showers and basic huts just the same back then

Lovely resort , right on the best beach on Koh Samui ! Rooms are basic but clean , beach bar is fantastic and great value for money ! Staff at hotel and beach bar are lovely! There’s a lovely population of cats around the resort that are very well taken care of by staff and holidaymakers alike , they made our stay !

The beach right at the hotel is the best in koh samui! The staff is incredibly friendly and the prices at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch etc. are so fair. Secret tip: have a massage at their hotel it’s beautiful!

Fantastic garden and pool, but the best thing is the beach, it is truly wonderful. The hotel is close to areas with bars and shops, but to have more variety it is better to rent a motorbike to go to the Lamai area

Rooms are not new but good for the price. Nice helpful lady at reception. Room rates start from 1200 baht during low season. However limited parking available for cars. Small restaurant on the beach

Fantastic, with the most beautiful beach in Samui. We took a bungalow, which is the closest to the beach, the superior rooms are further away. They are clean, spacious rooms with a porch

This’s really really nice beach club in lamai I cale here in the first time I enjoying with this place. I’m not staying here but I can do kayak and pool for free but you have to order something to eat or drinks

Probably one of the nicest places I have stayed. The villa was inmaculate, cleaned daily, on the beach and away from any noise and tourists. Was the most peaceful and pleasant stay I have had, anywhere!

Cleaning is daily. The pool is also cleaned daily. There's security on site, and no one is allowed in. It's perfectly quiet and peaceful. The beach is a one-minute walk away.

So it was really lovely to be staying almost on the beach in Koh Samui but it was too far from everything and I kept finding myself comparing the customer service to our stays in Bali and there was no comparison - in Bali they were so friendly and accomodating and helpful, but I didn’t find that to be the case in Thailand, at least not at Shiva Samui

It's very touristy. Almost felt like I wasn't in Thailand. If you just want to be at a nice beach with swimming pools. You will probably enjoy it. The service was great.

Stayed in the ocean view room with a shared plunge pool. Lovely to have a view of the ocean and to able to walk out onto the beach from our room

I did get one beach towel with stains on it which was a bit gross and the beach chairs have seen better days as well

This hotel's got it all! Great spot near the mall and right on the beach. The restaurant has awesome deals, the gardeners are super nice, and the reception staff are really helpful. Perfect mix of convenience and comfort

We had a pleasant stay at this resort. Central Samui was right infront of the resort and behind it is the beach. They allowed early check-in which was an added advantage. Garden infront of rooms was well maintained

There are some improvements to the property from last year, the biggest one being the improvement of the WiFi, that is now located in each room! Their location on the beach is perfect and they are directly across the street from Central Market

Location was really good, on the beach and in the town, can rent a bike to get about! Loved the room it was so cute, beach hut vibes! Bathroom could be a little cleaner but I can’t really complain about this place

The rooms are great, not overly lavish but super comfortable and tastefully decorated. Great seaside pool and the beach is right there. And perfect location, a short walk to Central. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

Excellent Stay, Prime Location The Avani Chaweng is a fantastic choice for a trip to Koh Samui. Its location is perfect, right on Chaweng Beach and in the heart of all the action

We initially confused this place with another “Sela” hotel — there are a few with the same name in Koh Samui, including one in Chaweng and another one closer to the center

If you wanna lay on the beach, in the morning there is high tide so you won’t be having much sand to lay on, still good for a swim. In the afternoon/evening there is low tide so you can put your towel down easily

Beautiful looking hotel, quiet and relaxed but also just a short scooter ride away from Fisherman’s village. For everyone confused about the beach situation: there is a long bit of beach by the hotel

Overall, it was pretty good, especially since it shares the same beach as the W. You can even walk right over from the beach

It was an amazing experience to stay here, I proposed to my girlfriend and they prepared the room with flowers and a nice text for 2000 Thai bath and they did the jacuzzi for free  which I’m very grateful for that ❤️🥰 I recommend this place; the staff is very nice, too

Anne had helped us with an upgrade of the pool room and Pink was extremly helpful to us to, to add topper to our bed and getting extra pillows

Out the way and away from the hustle but a great spot nonetheless. Lovely spacious cabin and a fantastic pool area if you don’t want to lay on the incredible private beach. Great selection for breakfast too.

During the off-season, it's wonderfully quiet, and the beach is gorgeous. The staff, as always, were attentive and friendly

Housekeeping only made the bed and replaced the towels, but didn’t take away the used ones, so I stayed here for 3 night and I had 3-4 towels in my room🤣, and the floor didn’t seem to be swept or cleaned during my stay

They have their own private beach, a massage service with sea views, a varied breakfast spread, a swimming pool, and sun loungers with umbrellas and towels. We even saw squirrels running around the grounds!

Sun bed on the beach can use new mattresses and the resort should get more and new beach umbrellas! Service at the beach bar is very slow so have some patience

The hotel is quite old, and the cleaning isn't very good. The location is excellent—it's close to a shopping center, and the beach is nice. For the price, it's fine.

Also, at the gym and pool no towels "just wait 20 minutes", but never came. There was multiple sites around the resort that looked like a rubbish tip

Nice hotel. Cleanliness could be better in rooms, sewer smell constantly in the room which is not very nice. Breakfast is average. The staff were polite & friendly.

Very nice bungalow, very clean room but the place around is worn and a little dirty around. Otherwise a good place and cozy. Is On the beach and we will maybe be back.

Owners are amazing, cannot do enough for you, one of the best hotels we have stayed at during our month of travelling Thailand, clean rooms comfy beds and good pool area, access to the beach with sunbeds provided for guests, where owners husband runs bungalows and restaurant and his also very helpful and friendly, would stay again and recommend to others

What a wonderful place! Directly situated on the beach, bar and restaurant are so nice ! The rooms are adorable, clearly work has been done to update and refresh! The breakfast is amazing, staff just lovely, wifi great! A big thanks to the team!

You need to go around to the beach, I tried to go straight, the owner of the hotel attacked me, shouted that this is his house and you can't do that, I had to be threatening and go anyway

This hotel is one of my favorites in Lamai. The swimming pool, the bar and the beach are awesome. The staff cannot be more lovely, helpful and efficient

We really enjoyed our stay at Sand Sea, particularly in a beachfront bungalow. Lamai beach is beautiful, clean, and relaxed

The hotel facilities are complete, though the beachfront suites are a better option. I visited here with my wife and my 5-year-old daughter, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for children as well
