Sand Sea Beach Resort in Lamai Beach

We are on our honeymoon and chose this hotel for our stay. They offer airport or pier transfers at a very fair price, so you do not have to worry about anything, even if you arrive at the pier late.

The room was set up especially for us, and I was very impressed from the moment I stepped in. The hotel is in a very good location, less than 10 minutes from Lamai Night Market and 7-Eleven, and it is directly in front of the beach.

We booked a room with breakfast, and the restaurant is also right by the beach. They offer a variety of choices for both Thai and Western food, such as pancakes, ham, sausage, bacon, French toast, daily changing Thai dishes, good coffee, and fresh fruit.

The room we got was extremely clean, with good air conditioning. They even provide a rack where you can dry your clothes outside the room. The staff are extremely helpful, nice, and friendly. I would definitely come back here again and would highly recommend it.

I absolutely loved staying at this resort! It is very clean, the rooms are spacious and light, with a wonderful AC. The staff was attentive to all of my needs and put in all of their efforts to make sure I had an outstanding stay!!! No complaints whatsoever. I would come back again!! They even upgraded my room upon arrival. Much appreciated.

The best hotel we've stayed at so far. The rooms are huge and very close to the pool and the beach. The buffet breakfast was great, but most importantly the staff were exceptionally attentive. It was my partner's birthday on our second day and I didn't even have to tell them. They figured it out from her passport info, confirmed with me on the sly, and brought her a cake at breakfast then made the bed up with a birthday message. I'd absolutely book with them again.

Best stay in Samui! The resort is right on Lamai Beach, offering a quiet atmosphere but close to everything you need. I was lucky to get an upgrade to a Sea View room with a jacuzzi and two bathrooms—amazing!

Booked 3 nights for 6682bht. Resort picked us up from airport for 800bht, they also took us to the pier for our onwards travel for 800bht. Upon arrival had a free upgrade to a deluxe garden villa from a standard garden view room, so we were now one row back from the beach, you could see a glimpse of the ocean between the two villas infront, not sure i would have paid the extra $ but grateful non the less for the freebie. Beautiful gardens surrounded the rooms. Rooms were great size, with sturdy furniture and firm mattress. Loved the white wash decor. Bathroom was a bit dated but huge shower area.
Lovely quiet resort right on the beach (considerate neighbours who respect the serenity, and far enough from main road to not hear the traffic). Plenty of sun loungers either around the pool or on the beach. Breakfast was hit and miss as in not enough quantity of food. Only 3 different fruits available which often ran out. Bacon also often run out. Had lunch a few times and an evening meal at the resort which tasted amazing. They have a nice bar to relax and have drinks after lunch when they have happy hour and again in the evening with another happy hour. Great location, you can be on the busy street in 3mins walk up the driveway where there is a 7 eleven if you turn right. Can't say I enjoyed the street, too busy and too many mopeds. Walked down the beach most evenings, although the quieter end of lamai, there were plenty of places to choose to eat without being overwhelmed. Lamai was a lovely beach, not too much litter washed up, plenty of sand to sunbathe on and you could walk the entire length. Lovely and warm clear blue ocean. Staff were all so lovely and friendly and worked hard. Special shout out to Nop and Tam. Would definitely return to sand sea.

The staff is wonderful and nice. The location is ideal, 10min walked from the center. Very quiet during the night.
While the hotel is getting a bit old, you can see the staff trying the repair and improve the faculties everyday. I recommande for a quiet family vacation !

The Sand Sea Resort is a place where you feel welcome at the very first moment. Especially the front desk is very professional and kind. The rooms are good, especially the bungalows are nice. The pool is also a good place to hang out. The location itself is quiet but not too far from different spots and restaurants. Only thing I can criticize are the pretty steep prices in the restaurant. More than 220 Baht for Fried Rice is just too much in my opinion and on the level of 4 or 5 star hotel prices. In the end we did not use the restaurant frequently. It would be nice if there are at least some affordable light dishes if you're hungry hanging out at the pool ;-)

Overall we can recommend this hotel and the lovely staff there.

My time at Sand Sea Beach Resort was overwhelmingly positive, thanks to the incredible hospitality and attention to detail. While there was a small mix-up on the first day—I was placed in a sea-view room instead of the beachfront room I’d booked—the staff promptly corrected the error the next day. Though I wish the transition had been seamless, the rooms were equally priced, and the team handled the situation professionally.

Beyond that, the service here is outstanding. The staff’s thoughtfulness surpassed even my experiences at five-star hotels—they genuinely care about guest comfort. One evening when I stayed offsite, they even reached out via WhatsApp to check on me! I regret not catching the names of the help desk team, as they were all exceptional.

As for the beachfront room, it was breathtaking. Waking up to floor-to-ceiling views of the ocean felt like a dream. The resort’s atmosphere, combined with the staff’s warmth, made this a memorable stay.

Minor rooming issue aside, I highly recommend Sand Sea Beach Resort. They’re clearly dedicated to excellence, and I’d gladly return. A bright future awaits this team!

The staff were lovely. The location was stunning. Good view from the room and bathtub. I only stayed 1 night as the central air con was old and made so much noise I couldn't sleep with it on but it was too hot and humid when off!

This hotel was amazing, offering a very calm and pleasant environment. It is close to the beach, with a pool near the sea and sun loungers for relaxing and sunbathing. The hotel facilities are complete, though the beachfront suites are a better option. I visited here with my wife and my 5-year-old daughter, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for children as well. I highly recommend it to everyone!
