Boomerang Inn in Patong

It's a good budget hotel in a peaceful lane. Good for staying or night sleep. The staff are very polite and humble.

Perfect budget rooms.
Clean and tidy good size rooms with cold A/C and fridge.
Comfortable beds and balcony overlooking the street or historical style Thai courtyard.
Owners treated us like family! It was the best!
Perfectly situated to walk to the beach or Bangla Road. You won't find better on the top end for the price.

This hotel is located very close to Patong's main attractions. If you crave luxury, then DON'T come here. However, I wasn't expecting luxury, as I paid a cheap price and got excellent value for money. The staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable, air-conditioning worked well and the rooms were a decent size. My only criticisms were firstly the toilet and shower room was a bit too small. Also, the toilet leaked and didn't flush very well. Nevertheless, I would happily stay here again, given I got excellent value for money.

Boomerang Inn great for down-to-earth budget traveler like me! I sensed that I would prefer this more quiet side of Patong, which is still walking distance to crazy Bangla Road. Boomerang Inn exceeded my expectations: good A/C, 2 blocks from the beach, very reasonable rate, spacious room with balcony and fridge, beds that were sufficiently comfortable for my touchy back. Lek is such a nice homey host, feels like you are staying with fam but more casual and less invasive than real fam lol! There are fancier hotels on this block further down, you can see that gentrification is happening. But this inn is for folks like me that don't need bling, just want basics and convenient location. Now I was dying for a coffee like I get in San Francisco and the Mood Cafe down the block adjoined to the Holiday Inn satisfied my main bougie craving. One caveat: I was doing some video call work and the first room they gave us did not pass internet speed test at all (it was also facing the inner courtyard, which was a bit more gloomier of a view; fyi there is no longer a functioning pool). They let us test out the Internet in different rooms and switch to one facing the street, which was more of a pleasant lively view anyways; at the same time, the inn is on a quieter side street. I also liked that across the street was a very reasonable massage place, a cannabis shop and a cat cafe. All so convenient haha! May Boomerang Inn continue to be an old school holdout in this changing world.

The place was clean and neat. The view wasn't that great, with only old buildings visible. It was close to the beach so all important places were easily accessible.

Really great place, great staff. And when checking out can just drop your key so you don’t miss your bus. And it’s affordable and clean!
