The BluEco Hotel in Kata

I’m liked the hotel room. It’s clean and the receptionist smile. But when I booked the hotel I was staying with my old grandmother and we had booked a room specifically for electric wheelchair and higher comfort for her at the other side of town. When you use Apple Map and copy-paste the English address into it, the BluEco showed up at the location where my grandmother had her room. If you copy-paste the Thai address you will come correctly to the BluEco hotel. I tried to cancel but was rejected 2 times without any answers. I had to rent a motorbike so I could travel between the hotels across town. The hotel should also take new pictures since the pictures are old and the building now needs some restoration. Lobby seems old so first impression isn’t what you expect. I hope for others they don’t do the same mistake. But don’t take me wrong. The rooms are standard okay but for myself, I know there are other hotels nearby that I would recommend more. Anyway, thanks for the stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights at the end of December 2025. We were happy with the hotel. At the entrance, there are women who seem to be in charge of everything in the hotel; all our questions were resolved through them, and everything was handled efficiently. Breakfast was included in our booking. They prepare it not far from the serving area, everything is clean, and fresh food and fruits are covered to keep flies away. The tableware was clean. In the room, shower amenities were refilled daily, and water was provided. It was very clean, and the bed was made. Both cold and hot water were constantly available. Occasionally, there were plumbing issues in the toilet, but they were resolved after we requested it. The window offered a view of the neighboring building. There's an AC unit on the balcony; the air conditioning is noisy, but on the bright side, you can quickly dry clothes using the heat it emits. We didn't hear any noise from our neighbors. The hotel hosts Europeans and Russians. The beach is a 15-minute walk through a market where you can buy fruits and food, and there's also a 7/11, KFC, currency exchange, laundry, and pharmacy nearby. By Turkish standards, this is definitely a 3-star hotel. We would come back here again. This is a city hotel, not brand new, but perfectly fine. Housekeeping comes daily, the rooms are spacious, the beds are large, and there's plenty of room in the bathroom.

The breakfast is standard, without a huge variety (eggs, vegetables, sausages/bacon/ham), but it's tasty.

Location-wise: it's a 5-minute walk to the night market, 10-15 minutes to Kata Beach, and 2 minutes to 7/11 stores. There are also tons of currency exchange booths, massage parlors, cafes, and scooter rentals nearby.

Great location close enough to the Kata beach but far from the noisy Main Street. Room was clean , breakfast was pretty good. They give you beach towels too if you want to use it.

It's a good place to relax. The room is huge. The beach is 15-20 minutes walk away.. The hotel has all the necessary amenities.Very friendly people. I really like it here. Breakfast just so/so

Good location to be able to easily access Kata, Karon and Kata Noi beaches. Simple breakfast but was a nice added bonus. Bed was enormous but very firm!!

I recently stayed at this hotel and while it wasn’t a complete disaster, it does need some serious renovations. The property feels quite dated, and it’s clear that the hotel could benefit from a refresh in terms of both decor and amenities.

On the positive side, the rooms are clean, which is always a plus. The hotel is located about a 10-15 minute walk from the beach, so it’s not too far if you’re looking to spend time by the ocean. The breakfast is standard — nothing too exciting, but it does the job.

For the price, it’s acceptable, and if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and don’t mind the hotel’s older feel, it works fine. However, if you’re after something more modern and comfortable, this might not be the best choice.
