The location was great, as I could walk everywhere. The check-in time was so tight that it was hard to wait. The US has so many unsanitary hotels, so it was generally clean. For the price in Chicago, where prices are high, I think this is excellent quality.
Very good quality bedding. Cleaning staffs did very well jobs. No hot water available for making tea. Shower water is not hot enough especially in cool days.
Very clean, comfortable bedding. In the busiest downtown area of Chicago, there are many hotel options, and the prices are high. This one is relatively cost-effective. I booked six nights in mid-May only one week in advance, with an average price of about 3,500 RMB per night (the price difference is large every night, it seems that there was an exhibition during this period, and the hotel rooms were...
It can be said that this is the most cost-effective hotel I have stayed in the United States. The hotel has an excellent location and the overall design is very French modern. The design of the decoration, the selection of furniture, and the overall color matching are all very embodying. The service is very considerate, the room is cleaned in time, and the night bed is also turned on. The room is equipped...
I stayed in the same room for another week. A female staff member (of Asian descent) at the front desk asked to charge an extra 30 dollars per night (plus tax). First, it was not the peak season. Second, they charged more for the same room. I don't understand. Different attitudes of different staff members towards guests will affect the credibility of the hotel.
Facilities: Very good
Hygiene: Very good
Environment: Very good
Service: Very good
Overall, the service is very good. I am very happy staying here. The scenery of the hotel is also very good. I am warmly welcomed every day when I come back. I believe I will choose this hotel again next time I come to Chicago

I had such a pleasant stay at this hotel to celebrate my birthday! The room was glamorous and big! The staff were so nice and helpful. The restaurant and bar is so cool and food and drinks were amazing. Jose the bartender was so funny and awesome! I already want to come back!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The lobby is a tad small and took us a second to find our check-in desk.
I was pleased with the room we were in. It had a nice view, a comfy bed, and a decent amount of space. The bathrooms products were also really nice, compared to other Marriott hotels.
The front desk and kind and helpful.
We had no major complaints. Not even the train, but then again, we...
I stayed at The Midland in Chicago and honestly had such a great experience. The staff really went out of their way to accommodate me, and I appreciated it more than they know. A special shoutout to Christopher — he was an absolute delight. Super helpful, patient, and genuinely kind the entire time. Little things like that make such a big difference when you’re traveling.
Overall, the hotel was comfortable...
First time in Chicago and I booked a 3 night stay here recently. The pricing was really good for the area and o really liked the location. It was in the downtown area, not close to the river but it wasn't too far. The lobby and bar area was nice and modern, well lit. It had a really good vibe on Thursday night. The bar made pretty good drinks nothing special, but prices were outrageous (craft cocktail...
I enjoyed my stay at the W Chicago. It seems like the renovations have wrapped up (common complaint about the hotel) I also did not find the rooms to be overly dated. My room was modern, large, and comfortable. I didn't care for the loud, club-like atmosphere in the lobby/bar, nor did I like the heavy use of air freshener in the room. Luckily the windows open in the room so that I could get a bit of...
I originally gave a 5 star review on this place which you can find below. I decided to alter my review after I was charged over double of what I was supposed to be charged without any notice. I am currently in the process of disputing the increased cost and it has severely affected my experience with this hotel and their customer service overall. I left my original review up as well because all of...

The room was tired and neglected looking. Room service only appeared after 5 pm
Very disappointed
toilet didn't work properly, bathtub was a mess of caulking. Minibar had to be unlocked by maintenance and there were items missing from it.
Excellent location and fantastic amenities. Four Seasons is as always- top notch service and stay. You won’t be disappointed. Beautiful hotel.
Except the room is a little small, it is very comfortable
Very good, facing Lake Michigan

I could not stay at the hotel because of high fever. And I could not get a free cancellation because I didn’t have a doctors note and it was on Christmas Day, and I was not able to move due to high fever. Hotel did not accept my request even though my request was just a few minutes later on the deadline for the free cancellation. I was so disappointed that and obviously I was so excited to stay this...
Fantastic property and the best hotel check-in/recepetion we have ever experienced. The best gym, great rooftop space, huge rooms, central location in the middle of it all. (Better than Four Seasons, Andaz, Fairmont, Waldorf, Cerullian Tower etc)
The room was spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning was quiet. Both the front desk and room service were excellent. We could even open the sofa bed and make it into a bed. The location is fantastic with amazing views, especially being able to see the Navy Pier fireworks perfectly. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.
The room is spacious, and the bathtub is huge. The service and location are excellent – right on the Magnificent Mile, perfect for shopping.
I was surprised by the vibe of this hotel. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Recommended for the location as well.
The room was spacious and the location was great. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was excellent, except for the street noise from sirens at night, which was a bit loud.

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It is beautiful, clean, and the staff was incredible. Mike one of the valets/concierge was especially helpful. I felt like he was always there when we had a question. I lost my phone charger and was flustered when I got there, and the staff was quick to assist and help me relax. The location was perfect for walking to the magnificent mile and the...
Very easy check in. Hotel room was very cozy and clean. The staff were extremely helpful. The hotel location is perfect to explore all the tourist spots such as the bean, and easy access to the train. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to
Chicago!
This hotel does not really live up the the name of a typical Amex FHR
the rooms are tired, finishes are cheap and worn out. Carpet stained.
Windows have no insulation and you can hear the street noise constantly. Any rooms that are below floor 10 it’s like you are outside it’s so loud.
Lobby bar rooftop bar and amenities are all very nice. The room service is not fast, good food for the price and...
This hotel is so overpriced. Had the double queen room for over $600 for the night and we were so packed in. We ordered coffee and they brought us more pods for the in room machine instead, windows don’t block any sound so we awakened at 6:30 am on a Sunday to the sound of trash trucks on the street. Just not a great value.
Great location. Hotel is vibey with rooftop, nice bar, restaurant, and coffee shop. Staff are friendly and attentive. Would stay again
Very nice, service was stellar, the bed was super comfortable, location perfect for our activities. Bar and resturaunt inviting and comfortable. We will definitely return on our next visit to Chicago.

The location, service and amenities were wonderful. The club level was also well worth it, with plenty of food and drink options for both adults and children.
I’ve stayed at all of the best Chicago hotels and the Langham is up there with the peninsula as best in the city. My one complaint is that the pool, specifically the water, was not clean. The large pool was very murky with visible debris on the bottom and the hot tub had a dark line of dirt/skin at the water line. That said, the rest of the hotel was pristine and perfectly maintained.
Remarkable stay! I will return for my next stay in downtown Chicago. Have stayed at other 5 Star Hotels but this one is now my #1 choice. Thank you to all the staff that made my family's stay a memorable one.
Love this hotel. Will be back by end of year to come visit the beautiful city and beautiful hotel again.
Excellent stay overall, staff was super helpful, they helped me throughout the my 5 nights stay, the spa was super relaxing.
The location is very good, opposite the Trump Building, downstairs is the river, and you can walk directly to the Gorgeous Mile, parks, art galleries, etc. There are also many restaurants to choose from around, and it coincides with a large-scale music festival, and the atmosphere is very good. The hotel service is warm and thoughtful, and the hygiene and facilities are maintained at the standards...

Facilities: Very complete.
Hygiene: Very clean.
Environment: Good.
Service: Excellent. The nightly turndown service was particularly satisfying, and most of the staff were very polite. Some even spoke Chinese, which made me feel very welcome.
Best hotel in the Chi. Jenny at the front desk is amazing and kind. Usually dislike hotels out in the US cause they so terrible compared to other countries, but this was comparable to the peninsula in thailand/shanghai or bellagio in shanghai
The details are the real thing. The Chinese-style design of the guest rooms is elegant and grand, and the food in the Chinese restaurant is amazing. Many luxury brands have big branches in the United States, and the Peninsula can still maintain its consistent level and deserves praise.
Special feeling, good location, good service
Service: also very good
Very good, but it happened to be the New Year's Day, and the special noise outside was heard in the middle of the night. The restaurant is very good and the service is nice. It's just that the security allowed on the night of the welcome was a bit too much, which was not very comfortable.

During the AACR 10,000-person conference, the rooms were fully booked. I booked very late and it was quite expensive. There was nothing I could do. The room was average in size. The surrounding environment was good. It was a relatively safe downtown in Chicago. It was next to the Chicago River, a long way from the Big Pea and Lake Michigan. Across the street was the dock for the Chicago River cruise...
They gave us the room with the river view windows.
Conference hotel. Overall, no flaws. Very good. Good location. Opposite the Trump Building.
Great hotel in a great location.
The elevator is old and takes a long time to get to the 10th floor and above. There is no do not disturb sign and the waiter will knock on the door of each room. It's crazy.
The room is very narrow and the hotel is a bit old. There is a public lounge area for coffee, tea and work. It is next to the Chicago River and is quite noisy. There are many tourist buses at the door.

Very good river view, and excellent service.
The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to all the main attractions. Self-check-in was super fast and convenient. The only minor drawback was that only one elevator was operating, which sometimes meant a long wait. However, even that didn't detract from our overall positive impression.
The waiter is nice, free coffee and drinking water are provided, and the location is convenient
Great hotel, around the corner from the magnificent mile the place to be. Rooms are comfortable great coffee lounge on the second floor. Pedro and Ray were amazing in reception I would highly recommend this place great price and will definitely be coming back next time in Chicago
Front desk, manager and employee service is out of this world! 2nd floor is a very nice lounge room and very great Chicago views. However we have never had worse room service in our life! They do not tuck in beds, they do not change towels or change our pillows and they literally steal from us! We ended up loosing a metal fork off this trip. Multiple times we ended up calling employees to do what room...
I think three stars does this place justice.
The location was amazing (but it’s probably the only pro). It is waking distance within everything, and there are several bus/subway station close by.

This hotel was absolutely amazing . It was clean spacious and very upscale for this price point ! Accessible to a lot of shops a restaurants . Will definitely stay again & again!
Staff went above and beyond!!! Very clean shout out to the front desk for helping me track down my doordash order and also a big thank you to one of the valet drivers going to get my charger 10/10 I highly recommend
The Hyatt has been updated and is simply a gorgeous hotel. From the tasteful design to the art, it is a welcoming and calming experience to step inside such a beautiful place. The rooms were spacious, perfectly appointed, clean, and had the most important thing, a comfortable bed. It was an easy valet park just a block away and the shower was great as well. I had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard in Chicago! The hotel was spotless, the location was perfect, and the overall experience was top-notch. I wanted to give 5 stars for the service received by Latonya!! She made a not so great experience feel much better by her energy, warmness and overall excellent customer service.

I have nothing but good thing to say about this hotel. Excellent service, location and facilities. The pool and surrounding areas were always clean. The rooms were cleaned daily by an excellent staff. Front desk people, doorman and security all great. Chek-in and out was a breeze.

It's a bit noisy outside. Some of the waiters in the restaurant are very nice, but some are not so nice.
Very good, very unexpected, this price can live in such a big room. Trump is a few steps away from the hotel, and there is also a Dunkin Donut next to it.

Overall, it was a satisfactory accommodation.
Great location for west loop and fulton market. All bars, restaurants and even grocery store within walking distance.
The rooms are a little bit dated but everything is clean and the bed very comfy.

This is my favorite hotel in Chicago. It's on Michigan Avenue, in a great location. The hotel has a historic feel but isn't oppressive. It's a super beautiful hotel, highly recommended, and offers excellent value for money.
Good location, very historic hotel, old facilities. The location is quite convenient. Can stay

Our second stay here - not disappointed
We thought that the $90 breakfast was a bit too high to pay for what we got for two people. We saw other plates delivered about 15 minutes after ours were more substantial. The offerings on ours were pretty thin.
The service and every single staff person that we encountered were top drawer. The room was immaculate.
Definitely would come back here again.

Gwen stayed at The Gwen
Loved this hotel!!! I picked this hotel because I needed a place to stay in Chicago and because of its name. My name is Gwen and I loved staying here. I loved the rooms, location (it is walkable to everything even the water taxi on Michigan), and the easy access to parking. I can’t wait to stay here again.
I wouldn’t stay here if you are looking for a 5-star hotel experience. Amenities were lacking on the property and in the rooms, service was mediocre-poor and the rooms are fine but slightly run down. Feels more like a basic, massive chain 4-star hotel than a “luxurious” experience. The location is convenient, close to the subway station, and the front desk service was pretty good. However, the safe in the room was broken and unusable. It seems there's a bar downstairs, but it wasn't noisy up in the room. I recommend requesting a high-floor room as the air conditioning units outside on the lower floors can be quite loud.
This is a super cute vintage looking hotel. We stayed on the night of 29th November. The private quad is perfect for friends to crash for the night. The view from our room was nice. The bar and the lounge on the first floor was super cute and nice. Special mention to the receptionist - I forgot to ask his name, but African American dude. He is the best. Amazing hospitality from the staff.
It’s a cute place, and you pay for what you get. Bring ear plugs. Our room was super loud, and right next to a parking garage. The room was cozy, and the updated aspects felt like a nice addition. Our bathroom had a leak and it made the bathroom smell like pee. Couldn’t really use the bathroom trash can because it needed to catch the water. Let the staff know when we left, but didn’t say...
A perfect hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient place to stay without paying extra for fancy accommodations.
If you just need a clean and comfy bed, a toilet, and a shower this is the way to go for sure.
Staff and service were great. Location can’t be beat. Everything felt clean and comfortable.
Small room, but quiet and met my needs just fine. The room was clean and comfortable. The only things I would have liked to have seen would be an outlet near the desk area (only ones were near the bed) so I could more easily utilize the desk for working and a coffee maker, but honestly it worked out just fine. The staff were great from the bar to the front desk. Enjoyed my experience and plan to stay...

Nice hotel with a good location
Very noisy, fell short of expectations
Great location next to Bally’s ****** and across from Trader Joe’s. Self parking was really easy through third-party app. Just right me behind a hotel in the same building. I really like the hotel and the room.
The room is big and the hotel also has a small gallery, which is nice for strolling around. The location is very good. The price/performance ratio is also very good. I highly recommend it and will stay here again next time.
The hotel had too many reservations for our room type and switched us too a larger room. Unfortunately the reason we booked the 2 double beds was because we were 2 opposite sex friends sharing a room. The hotel could only offer a roll-in or use of the rooms "daybed".
Additionally there was a large group staying in the hotel and the elevators became overwhelmed which meant we had to use the freight...
I’ve stayed here multiple times now, but don’t feel like they appreciate my business. No upgrades ever. Asked for quiet room and got one on a high floor. But there was constant noise from the machine closet or elevator. Lobby feels crowded and there’s sometimes a line for the elevator. That said, location is awesome and I love the Nespresso machine in each room.

Good location to stay,20 mins walk to riverwalk
I chose this hotel because of its walking proximity to a business-related destination. It is ideally situated in the beautiful Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago.

Everything was really good, nice view and nice beverages provided foc at the lobby. Only they provided 2 bottle soof drinking water every 3 days, which means we got one time only.
The chinese restaurant was really good.

Very comfy bed, centrally located
We picked a city view and this did not disappoint! We were on the 10 floor looking out to the lake . The team of people from the door person , front desk team and restaurant were very helpful.
Would definitely choose this hotel again .
The hotel is outdated. The exterior is nice but the rooms are outdated and the hallways are too. Staff is ok but a bit unprofessional.
Good location n small room but comfortable. Poor reception service
