The location was great, as I could walk everywhere. The check-in time was so tight that it was hard to wait. The US has so many unsanitary hotels, so it was generally clean. For the price in Chicago, where prices are high, I think this is excellent quality.

I stayed in the same room for another week. A female staff member (of Asian descent) at the front desk asked to charge an extra 30 dollars per night (plus tax). First, it was not the peak season. Second, they charged more for the same room. I don't understand. Different attitudes of different staff members towards guests will affect the credibility of the hotel.

This hotel does not really live up the the name of a typical Amex FHR the rooms are tired, finishes are cheap and worn out. Carpet stained. This hotel is so overpriced. Had the double queen room for over $600 for the night and we were so packed in. We ordered coffee and they brought us more pods for the in room machine instead, windows don’t block any sound so we awakened at 6:30 am on a Sunday to the sound of trash trucks on the street. Just not a great value.

The location, service and amenities were wonderful. The club level was also well worth it, with plenty of food and drink options for both adults and children.

I’ve stayed at all of the best Chicago hotels and the Langham is up there with the peninsula as best in the city.  My one complaint is that the pool, specifically the water, was not clean.  The large pool was very murky with visible debris on the bottom and the hot tub had a dark line of dirt/skin at the water line.  That said, the rest of the hotel was pristine and perfectly maintained.

Remarkable stay! I will return for my next stay in downtown Chicago. Have stayed at other 5 Star Hotels but this one is now my #1 choice. Thank you to all the staff that made my family's stay a memorable one.

The details are the real thing. The Chinese-style design of the guest rooms is elegant and grand, and the food in the Chinese restaurant is amazing. Many luxury brands have big branches in the United States, and the Peninsula can still maintain its consistent level and deserves praise.

Great hotel in a great location.

The elevator is old and takes a long time to get to the 10th floor and above. There is no do not disturb sign and the waiter will knock on the door of each room. It's crazy.

The room is very narrow and the hotel is a bit old. There is a public lounge area for coffee, tea and work. It is next to the Chicago River and is quite noisy. There are many tourist buses at the door.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to all the main attractions. Self-check-in was super fast and convenient. The only minor drawback was that only one elevator was operating, which sometimes meant a long wait. However, even that didn't detract from our overall positive impression.

The location is convenient, close to the subway station, and the front desk service was pretty good. However, the safe in the room was broken and unusable. It seems there's a bar downstairs, but it wasn't noisy up in the room. I recommend requesting a high-floor room as the air conditioning units outside on the lower floors can be quite loud.

This is a super cute vintage looking hotel. We stayed on the night of 29th November. The private quad is perfect for friends to crash for the night. The view from our room was nice. This was the perfect location if your primarily going to be downtown. You have access to every train in the city from this location. I’ve stayed here multiple times now, but don’t feel like they appreciate my business. No upgrades ever. Asked for quiet room and got one on a high floor. But there was constant noise from the machine closet or elevator. Lobby feels crowded and there’s sometimes a line for the elevator.
