The Inn at Irving Place is two old town houses converted into a 12 room hotel. I would more accurately describe it as a bed and breakfast. This hotel is VERY different from a normal hotel. It's in a converted brownstone and only has a few rooms. My room is HUGE, easily 4-5 times the size of a normal Manhattan room. Meh, it's alright. Staying here right now and our room didn't even come with towels.(Staff gave us some upon request) Room smelled like cigarettes upon entry. Leaky sink as well. Pretty okay place to stay at if you need a bed for the night, wouldn't recommend staying for more than a night however.

I stayed at Embassy Suites New York Midtown Manhattan for my birthday trip to NYC, just ten days after an unexpected surgery and several days in the hospital. I arrived around 2 PM, two hours before check-in, and the receptionist Bindiya kindly checked me in early after hearing that I was still recovering. Cost benefit was insane. Great included breakfast, plus a "snack and drinks" from 5:30 to 7pm, made this a money saver as well. It was me and my son, King bed with sofabed, two TVs (there was a cushioned divider) and I ended up sleeping on the sofá without opening it, because it was large and extremely comfortable (they didn't have two beds available when we booked, so that was on us). The location was good but the food was terrible. The breakfast was cold and not good. The elevators were not working most of the times, we had to wait 15 minutes everytime after calling the elevator.  The receptionist didn't explain the benefits included with the booking and we wasted a lot of credit.  The restaurant of the hotel was not good.   Only good things were the view and location.

Thanks to Trip.com for their kind assistance. The hotel's rules are a bit odd, but it's understandable that you might encounter minor issues when traveling for business.

EEverything is ok except two things.   1. I got into the 4/f for the drink. I got the first drink and one minute later I wanted to get another drink for my husband. They rejected me and said they were closed. Just one minute difference they didn’t want to accommodate. Never said it was the last call.   2. Very crowded and even closed half of the restaurant.

I'm a Marriott fan but will avoid the Moxy brand. It's just never a comfortable stay. Our initial room was miserable. Unbearably hot in February. AC did not work. We haven't yet had a terrible experience with Residence Inn. This location is convenient to shopping although it's not close to Times Square. This is 1 of the best NYC hotel stays we've had. Had a 7-day stay at the hotel, my first time in New York and it left a great impression. The location is ideal, right next to the subway which makes getting everywhere super easy. Excellent location near cooper union and NYU. Rooms are pretty small for the exorbitant price charged per night. One can pay the same for a 5 stars much larger rooms in hotels (Hilton, Hyatt, Westin, Intercontinental, etc) in elsewhere in Manhattan.

The hotel service is good. Although there is no gym, it also provides a gym across the street where you can exercise, which is very considerate.

I had a wonderful 4-night stay here. It's a great location-steps away from Grand Central and the subway.The room was clean. Checking in and out was so convenient. I also loved the room on the 27th floor for hot tea and coffee. The floor also had a chilled water dispenser. I'm planning another trip for next month and hope to return here.

Roughly our fifth time there, which tells you that it is five star. Joshua at check-in was top drawer. As are all the staff, but he made it flawless. The bathrooms here are always so clean it is delightful. And, as they say, the location is just great. We'll come again.

Hudson Yards in my opinion will be The New Times Square of NYC. It had the fancy shops, variety of restaurants in the building The Edge, art displays, big venue for shows called The Shed, the structure called The Vessel to admire, The Old Tree, and so much to see and it’s clean not as crowded as Times Square, and plenty of securitu.

It's impressive, but you can't climb it. Subway nearby and can be the start of your trip to the High Line. The site is also home to the EDGE NYC observatory, the city's highest open-air elevated platform.

The Franklin Guesthouse charges a non-advertised resort fee when you arrive. Room was nice, but the resort fee was unwelcome.
