absolutely amazing! i went here to go to the katseye concert and i couldntve chosen a better place. my room view was amazing. in terms of food, there's breakfast, lunch and dinner. they all looked appetising and the taste didnt disappoint! would for sure go again, highly recommend
One of the best things about this hotel are the amazing views of manhattan from the room and the 18th floor outdoor patio This hotel has lots of character, fun furnishings and a school theme with lots of books, nice places to hang out The restaurant was alright, food was ok Staff were friendly and worked hard to please in all areas of hotel front desk, restaurant, bar, house keeping, roof top bar area...
The hotel was outstanding! The rooms were spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean, with very comfortable bedding. The service was excellent, and a special mention goes to the breakfast. We had read several negative reviews about it beforehand, but they turned out to be completely unfounded. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and always smiling. Even the breakfast included with the room...
Stayed over the weekend here between business trips and I was very impressed! The location and views are immaculate—it was a breath of fresh air from manhattan while being very close on the subway. The rooms were spacious by NYC standards and were clean, no complaints! Wendy at the front desk was amazing and made me feel right at home. I look forward to staying here again soon
My friend and I stayed here to celebrate her birthday and it was such an amazing experience. Breakfast was amazing ( we particularly loved the orange juice, mushroom toast, and lox bagel), our views of the beautiful NYC skyline was breathtaking, and getting to manhattan from the island was a breeze. I loved the unique decor which definitely added to my experience (I was initially drawn to this hotel...
What a gem. Roosevelt Island is an oasis, a calm dot in the flurry of NYC hustle and bustle. We had a skyline view room on the 14th floor and it was very quiet. No hotel noise, no traffic noise. Don't miss the rooftop bar, even if you just go up to take in the scenery! A rainy day during our stay was saved by umbrellas loaned out at the front desk and there was plenty of seating for us to tuck ourselves...

Location is very good. There were some kind of bugs that bit. Price was not that transparent. When you checked out, they even didn’t mention the additional facility fee that was not collected by trip.com. Until you checked the bank statement you saw it and you called the hotel to know.
Beware of the 'resort' tag, it doesn't apply here at all. The front desk staff's service is very careless. I left my glasses in the room and have emailed them multiple times asking them to hold them for me since I'm returning in April, but they never reply. Terrible customer service.
The Hotel was actually not so good, broken wall, and strange smell.. so bad I had headache for a week! Breakfast.... better go to the bar..
Old building nicely maintained everything was great including nice breakfast

Great place to stay. Easy to get to, convenient to the Theater District, great food next door at Tony’s, and great service.
Front Desk and doorman were extremely friendly and helpful.  Front desk clarified a reservation at the restaurant.  Doorman was very helpful with directions. My wife and I stayed at the Casablanca Hotel somewhere around 20+ years ago.  Very much the dame with excellent employees.  We will be back next time we see a play in NYC.
Very cute and staff super friendly and helpful. Parking east at the lot next door and convenient to walk to theater district
Excellent! Staff went above and beyond! I wish I could recall the name of the staff member at the front desk that provided me with a small fan to sleep with. I ask every hotel I visit for one and Casablanca has been the only one to provide it! I really think he went out and purchased it just for me! Very pleasant and friendly staff! Highly recommmend
The staff were amazing and polite and respectful. The lounge on the 2nd floor with the fireplace and free coffee was about the best thing during my NYC trip. After a day of sight seeing and walking around the city, a cup of coffee by the fire was exactly what I needed.
Wonderful , the lounge is so home like with refreshments available all day and beautiful sitting areas

Room and hotel was spotless, staff was friendly and responsive. They cleaned and made the bed/room daily. Great value in NYC.
The room was 100* when I arrived. I turned the temp down to 80* and left for the night. I returned around 3am to 67*. Front desk did nothing but tell me maintenance will be in at 8am. Waited… called down at 9am. 10am maid came to attempt to fix heat. Did not return to check like he said he would. Left for the afternoon. Still no heat when I returned. Attending manager came up to check out the system...
Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Had a little problem with the heat but the front desk staff were fabulous in response and went above and beyond to correct. Easy access to subway and nearby breakfast options were great. Overall a great Midtown spot and a great value.
Staff was friendly. There was no microwave. Beds were old, squeaky & uncomfortable. Pillows were bad
The room was never warm. They set maintenance to fix it, but we had to stay without the heater for one night. They offered a space heater, but it wasn't enough. They said they fixed our heater, but the room thermostat never went above 70 degrees. We were there in La. in November. The room was also dusty.
I love this hotel. I will definitely stay there again. It's in a safe area. In every direction, there are spots to grab food. It's very clean. Very comfortable. Their staff is friendly. AND I was excited to learn that it's located in the historic Floral District of New York City. As a florist, that was VERY fun for me to know. It's a great hotel. Two thumbs up.

Great location and a staff that goes above and beyond to make everything perfect.
The staff was very attentive and friendly. Turndown service was done well and the welcome amenities were nice. I had spoken with Miranda, supervising concierge, and she had helped me through various reservations and logistics for the stay. Would love to stay here again and develop a relationship.
Great location for walking or shopping and dining in SOHO. Beautiful room. Amazing service. We really enjoyed the restaurant as well.
Fantastic hotel…perfect for shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend.
We loved everything about our stay at The Mercer. The only negative is we should have stayed longer!
My new favorite in nyc From Tom on the overnight shift at the front desk to the day team as well (including the trainee with the glasses) everyone at the hotel was warm, helpful and kind. Sure, the rooms aren't huge, but how many suitcases do you bring anyway? The location can't be beat, and I love the fact the hotel name is nowhere to be found from the street.

Overall the stay was good. The staff was very nice and friendly . The place is a bit dated but the room was very spacious and clean. The "mini bar" is $30 and breakfast is $20. Be aware that even if you select a option on a third party site to include breakfast, it's not included. I'd also recommend checking out the breakfast first before deciding to pay for it.
The front desk was super friendly. The room was way bigger than I expected. TV in the room was a Fire tv so I was able to log into Netflix and Spotify. Overall, a great hotel. Location is only 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station. Highly recommend
Really nice accommodation, especially for it's price and location. Really well located for visits to Wall Street, World Trace Centre site, Staten Island ferry and more. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff are super friendly. You can't really ask for more at this rate.
The location of this hotel is exceptional! Check in & out was smooth and staff were helpful and courteous. My room was spacious and had great lighting. However, the Double Queen Suite is missing hooks for coats & formal wear and the bathroom door has an annoying switch. The lobby has a better coffee machine than the one that was in my suite.
First 2 rooms didn't have adequate heat. But staff quickly moved and 3rd room was perfectly toasty. David was great and really, everyone on shift during my stay took good care of me.
This is a good and honest hotel. The staff was incredibly amazing: polite, helpful, joyful. Everyone I interacted with was exceptionally kind. It was quiet at night, the room was huge, and everything was spotlessly clean. At some point, it might be worth considering a refresh of the flooring, as a few areas are starting to look a bit worn. But that’s really my only minor complaint. Aside from some...

Small and cozy hotel with a very nice and classic decoration. It has a librarry a tea room that is open for breakfast, coffee, soft drinks and snack almost all day. Well located in mid-town and close to broadway and shpping. Highly recommended. We had a very nice stay there.
We stayed at the Hotel Elysee for four nights in June 2025. The beds were rock hard and the rooms old and shabby. Smelled and looked like a grandmas closet. They are shutting down for remodeling and so to be fair, we got the worst of it. Run down and smelly. Robes were thread bear, shower barely worked, thermostat was analog. Do not recommend.
Our #1 favorite hotel in Manhattan! The hotel has an old world charm and the feel of a European hotel. The location in midtown is excellent. The valet parking is distinctive among Manhattan hotels. It is also one of the hotels with a high quality restaurant right next door - the Monkey Bar! On the second floor of the hotel is the Library where there is a simple self-serve breakfast accompanied by...
The only way I can honestly start this review is by saying, we will never stay anywhere else in Midtown. Our room was not only comfortable but much larger than expected. The second floor sitting room was cozy and quaint with breakfast, and snacks and drinks. I could easily sit for hours with coffee and a book and be happy. What made our experience absolutely perfect was the staff and the service. Everyone...
We’ve stayed here quite a number of times. Love it. Rooms are big, clean, beds very comfortable. Old fashioned charm with excellent service. The complimentary club floor has a nice array of snacks, drinks and plenty of charm. Great location. Walk to theater, museums, Central Park. We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite this time. Can I win the lottery and live here?

The location is great. It’s two blocks to the 28th Subway Station making so easy to get anywhere in NYC via the subway. The stay was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the property was very clean. The hotel is affordable and there are shops and restaurants nearby.
Not sure why there are so many poor reviews here - this was a great place to stay! Clean, easy check in/check out, our room had a good view of the Empire State Building. We were able to check out and leave our bag with the front desk for the day, which was super convenient. The location is fantastic, walkable to Times Square, Chelsea, Union Square, etc. The room was small, but it was clean and...
I like this place because it's close to most all of the places of interest to visit. If you're claustrophobic you will NOT like the small room size: it's small. But they provide toiletries, adequate towels & I LOVE having 4 pillows, each of varying softness/consistency. The beds are DREAMY ☁️☁️ I sleep exceptionally well there. I wish they could be more flexible with early check-ins. Other than their...
Bed was comfortable and hotel was in a good location (although a bit sketchy in the immediate area). They also let us store our luggage when we arrived early which was great. The size of the room was quite small and barely had room to open our luggage. Biggest issue was the bathroom, which was a bit run down and wasn't that clean, and the towel rack was broken and hanging slightly off the wall.
The rooms are very small, but the hotel is in a convenient location. The bathroom didn't seem to have a ventilation fan you could turn on which made the room a little humid. There was an air conditioner, but it wasn't very powerful. Overall it was a decent hotel for the price and location. We spent most of our time in the city rather than in the room anyways.

Very convenient location. Staff super helpful and friendly. Very clean. Nice coffee and pastries offered each morning and convenient parking right next door, plus reasonable prices. We really couldn’t have asked for more!
Our check in was great…and they were ready for us at 12:30 am. Room was bigger than expected with a king size bed. Bed very comfortable and bathroom was very nice! We stayed on the 1st floor, so very convenient. Breakfast rolls were alittle late and not very much variety. Coffee was good and machine cool and easy to use. Will stay again!
From the very beginning the staff greeted us with warm smiles and welcomed us to NYC! Throughout our time our room was clean and they always greeted as we entered and departed. It’s very close to all attractions such as Times Square and Colombus circle! Such an amazing hotel! Will be back one day! A must to stay at!!
Moderne Hotel is convenient to Times Square, Central Park, theaters.. The rooms are sizable and clean. The guest lounge with hot beverage bar and games is very inviting. Staff is friendly, helpful, and professional.
night staff is great, door man is great. Woman at the front desk during the day is not very friendly though. Tried to call the hotel many times prior to arriving though and no answer, or if after hours, it must go to a call service, because they know nothing about the hotel! It's small (welcome to NYC!), but very well done. All staff members we encountered were so friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Some items could use a refresh but the rooms were well-appointed. There is a fun bar right next door, but the only caveat is due to its popularity, if your room is facing the street, it is loud - not traffic noise but loud people outside. Again, that's NYC. Overall,...
Great location! Very small but comfy room. Weird shower, a few broken things (phone/phone charger, ironing board) and bad lighting but was fine overall.
The entire staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful throughout our stay.
The room was clean though small. Bathroom is large. Staff is nice. However the bar on New Year closed at 7pm. Good place to rest as though 1/2 block from Times Square it was pretty quiet.
Simply a quaint and cozy boutique hotel with European atmoshere. The Merrion Row Hotel and Public House was everything we had hoped for, and more. The staff were probably our favorite part. And yes, the room was super clean, and over all quite comfortable. The only thing that wasn't my favorite was the "vouchers?" I had no idea that we would be charged for the vouchers that we were given for the room to use in your restaurant? I didn't ask for them (3), and they were literally referred to as "complimentary?" Located within a short walk to theater district and times square. Rooms are not as clean as pictured. Connected to Millennium hotel. Advertised a boutique. It is more like they renovated the old building next door 15 yrs ago. Hotel photos are old. Rooms are not as clean as they can be (dust, spills, soap scum, broken fixtures). No outlets at bedside for charging phones or using CPAP machines.
Locatian is excellent. And view is very nice. Breakfast is bad. Just fruit, bagels, juice and joghurt. 1 day enough. Locatian is very good.
Monique at the front desk was super helpful! Everyone was more than accommodating. I will be revisiting!
The room is very spacious. The front desk upgraded the room type. The view is also great. Times Square is downstairs. I stayed there for 3 days and had a good meal every night and strolled around Times Square leisurely. It felt good.
Very good location. But hotel just privides take away breakfast which are bread, muffins, Yogurt, juicy, coffee, Tea & etc. No oven/microwave for reheat food.

Incredibly friendly staff, nice and neat rooms. The hotel has more of a chill vibe and is great if you want to go out in Manhattan or just have a chance to meet random people. The place is buzzing with life even when it's not as full.
Location, location, location! small boutique hotel but charming! Great hospitality all around, clean. A skip away from everything Chelsea, the market, the piers, Small Island, Whitney Myseum, next to Highline and cople blocks from Hudson Yard
Despite arriving late at night, check-in was easy! The staff were all friendly! The location was in a safe neighborhood!
Staff and management were great and shared insights to improve my experience. The food service was not much and so they did suggest a nice pizza place across the street. The next time I will request a bed frame as low bed was hard to get out of for an elderly person.
Staff were great. Mixed reviews on room. Also, not sure why extra fees needed to be charged by the hotel, made me wonder as my pre-payments to ******* in past have been all inclusive.

Decent hotel, location is just average. Takes 10minutes walk to the nearest metro station. Room is clean and comfy. Overall it's good.

For the money I paid it was pretty okay
The manager is very good. But at reception they weren't very attentive to the customer's needs and requests... I needed a good night's sleep... and they gave me a room across from the ice machine... The room wasn't the cleanest, it was good enough but not the Marriott's quality. One of the days, the ac was bringing in the worst garlic smell. The bathtub had some leftover cleaning detergent which we weren't able to use...
Pleasantly surprised by how spacious the suite was. Will definitely be back if I need to be in Tribeca.
Room was fine, location was great. Cleaning was a bit so so. They didn’t charge the sheets once whilst we were there, didn’t restock room amenities like coffee or toilet roll a few times - my husband had to ask where to get it himself. The cleaner threw away food/snacks we had brought in which was annoying as we hadn’t even checked out. For the price we paid and considering we booked this for our honeymoon...
We loved our stay in this hotel, the staff were so friendly and approachable and the room had everything we needed for a few nights stay. We were thankful for the lockers at reception as they were great for our final day. Thank you for having us.
TL DR: only get this place if you only care about location, have reasonable independence, want privacy, and DO NOT NEED HOTEL AMENITIES. Full review: The main reason to book this hotel would be for its location. Its location in Tribeca is awesome. This is my favorite hotel in NYC. It’s located in a central locations but super quiet once you step inside the massive doors. Hot water was out. Staff was great about it. Gets the job done if you're not spending a lot of time at the hotel. I would not make this your first choice hotel.
Location is good, the hotel amenities are adequate. The staff are nice, and the cafe on the ground floor is good. However, it's not as good as it was. The walls are gorgeous in the rooms. Venetian plaster I believe. Size of the room is enough. However, the lobby serves at their bar, nightclub and event venue and that can be a bit much.
Location, location, location! This has it! This hotel is located right off of 26th street and Broadway. You walk a few blocks and you're looking at the Flatiron building! Union Square is over in this area and it's a short walk to the 28th street and 23rd street stations which means you can be on a train and uptown or downtown in minutes! Staff was very friendly!
