New York, 200 West 56th Street (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Great location near Central Park Time square great for Carnegie diner breakfast Good size room friendly staff
First time to stay at Manhattan Club hotel, but it was lovely stay and quite reasonable in NYC! Room: very spacious and provides a kitchen which is very convent to eat inside a room! Room temperature of our room was low and we felt a bit cold inside our room 🥶! Looks like a heatingsysten is old so I wasn’t able to set the temperature in our room. Amenities: they only provided minimum amenities…but...
Our child was going to a Carnegie Hall performance, and this hotel's location was unbeatable. The concert hall was right outside the door, and various Broadway theaters, Times Square, and numerous restaurants were all within walking distance. The subway station was also nearby. The room was huge. For this price, you'd probably only find one hotel in the heart of Manhattan with such a spacious room...
The location is good, right on 56th Street, within walking distance of Times Square and Central Park. There are fast food restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The hotel does not provide slippers. The room is quite large; for the price and size, it's pretty good.
I stayed here again because of its convenience – my child works right across the street from Carnegie Hall. The hotel insisted I change rooms, and to my surprise, I got a newer suite. However, there were cockroaches. After complaining to the front desk, I received three breakfast vouchers. I also forgot to tip the housekeeping staff, which made me feel very bad! I'll be choosing this hotel more often...
Great experience! It is really rare to find such a large room at a reasonable price in Manhattan, where every inch of land is valuable! Recommended to everyone! Will stay here again when visiting New York!

I must say the location is ideal as within walking minutes to subway and airport bus. Generally ok with hotel service standards, recommended for short stays in NYC.
The location is really convenient! There are plenty of restaurants nearby, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes. The subway is right around the corner, with multiple lines accessible. Times Square is also just a few hundred meters away. However, I'm not sure why they charged a $20 deposit that was never refunded.
For Manhattan, this hotel is in a decent location and it's convenient for getting around.
Stayed here many times and it’s a great hotel in a fantastic location. Ran into an extremely rude front desk staff member though who kept hanging up on my calls to the front desk. I understand it gets busy but no response for over an hour is a safety issue.
Super convenient location because we were in the city mainly for a Broadway show just two blocks away, and proximity to the Port Authority bus stop was also a huge plus. Only question mark would be how housekeeping didn’t come in to clear our garbage even though we were there for two nights and having it piled up wasn’t pleasant. Otherwise everything was perfect including the front desk, bell men,...
Amazing location. Great tapas restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff

Things we ok, good for the price.
This hotel boasts a fantastic location, super close to Times Square, with a Muji store nearby, and the subway station just a few minutes' walk away. What really stands out is that the hotel facilities are quite new, the soundproofing is good, and the shower in the bathroom is really comfortable.
This is by far the most satisfying hotel I've stayed at in New York. - The soundproofing is excellent. - There's enough space to open two 30-inch suitcases (I had a twin bed room). - It's very close to Times Square. - A microwave is available for use. - They offer a welcome drink. - I was told the deposit would take up to 30 days to be refunded, but it came back very quickly.
Very convenient and satisfying for business trips.
The room was quite small and felt a bit cramped. The USB ports were also not working properly. I tried charging my device overnight, but it didn’t charge at all. Coz we need to take train, so chose this hotel for one night.
The hotel has an excellent location with easy access to the city center. It was clean; however, the facilities were limited. The elevator was not very convenient, and the service—especially for breakfast and hospitality—was quite weak. In addition, basic amenities such as cleaning supplies, slippers, and proper bathroom equipment were missing.

A nice hotel for a short stay. Be ready to have you earplugs with you, cause you can hear everything that is going on outside the room
location was perfect and the staffs were friendly.
The hotel was in a nice location
It was great that it was close to Times Square and also close to Penn Station!
It’s basic but the location is quite good, one thing to note there is no bottles of water in the room, make sure to get it yourself. The bar downstairs could be loud if you stays in the lower floor.
Very good hotel location. It is away from the main time square area but very walkable. It is also very close to Penn station which means if you have luggage is it a walkable distance to the hotel. Front desk was very helpful in recommendation of places to eat and how to travel to locations. Hotel was clean and organized , had water refill station and gave free water upon check in. Conveniently located with bus and subway access nearby, and a supermarket right across the street.
The location is excellent and convenient; although the hotel is old, it has a distinctly New York feel. The bed is large and comfortable, and the view from the room window is beautiful. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
The room was large and clean. The service was friendly and the facilities were relatively new.
The rooms are small but well-equipped and clean. The location is excellent, great for shopping and strolling. This is a nearly century-old establishment, offering an experience of old-style New York hotel.
The hotel has a vintage feel; although the layout and facilities aren't very modern, it's a great choice for those who want to experience a classic American old-brand hotel. 👍🏻 The staff were very polite and greeted us proactively. The suite we booked even came with a fully equipped kitchen, which was very convenient!
The environment is very safe, with several supermarkets across the street. The subway station is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel, making it very convenient to get there from the train station. The Metro and Times Square are a 30-minute walk away.

Bottled water in the room isn't free. The location is convenient; Times Square is just a 10-15 minute walk away, and the subway station is a 5-minute walk. At check-out, I was mistakenly charged over $19 for beverages I didn't consume, which was refunded after I brought it to their attention. There also seemed to be additional taxes/fees not included in the Ctrip booking, as the final cost was $25...
The room is small. Others are ok.
Great view! Just one intersection away from the train station
The location is good, it is quiet in a busy city, the hotel facilities are also OK, the breakfast environment downstairs is quite good, but it is expensive. If you want to eat cheaper, there is a Japanese supermarket across the road, and the pizza at the pizza shop next to it is also very delicious.
The location is pretty good and the room is quite clean.
I highly recommend this hotel. It's not noisy and quiet, but I was able to solve most of my needs. It would be better if the reception staff were better trained. I could go to most places on foot. I would like to stay again.

This hotel needs to have a much better average then 3.9 (accurate to Feb 2026). The room was spacious for new york, the staff is super friendly, nice gym, it's clean and pleasant! I would definitely stay there again! Location is very good in soho near shopping streets.
Staff were incredibly friendly. 5/5 service. In terms of the room itself, it was quiet. Great view. However, room needed to be renovated. The headboard on my bed looked like it got into a fight with a lion. Leather was ripped and scratched. Pretty gross to look at. White marble tiles in the shower were also looking yellow. The room is showing clear signs of age. Hope hotel management makes a design...
The place is great for location! Loved it! The people who worked there were amazing The lobby smelled amazing The only problem i had was it needs a little bit of love and care when it comes to the furniture in the lobby the chairs were stained and dirty.. In the rooms the headboard was peeling the bathroom needed painting also it had mold. Once out the bathroom by the sink on the floor was a huge glob...
Julian was so helpful and kind!! The front desk young women were lovely. I’ve stayed here quite a bit and it’s always easy.
Rooms are in significant need for renovations. The vinyl headboards are cracking and flakes are all over the bedding and floor. Had to be moved to another room because my initial room wasn’t appropriately serviced by housekeeping. Second room had no soap or other amenities. I had my other work colleagues change hotels before they checked in. Manager on duty had a horrible attitude and was upset I left...
I can't understand the many negative comments. The location is fantastic, in a safe area, the staff is very friendly (both on Christmas and New Year's!), the beds are comfortable, and the room service is excellent! The outlets on the bathroom sink and the ones on the tables in the lobby didn't work...
Standard service that you would expect from most hotels in America. The air conditioning does not work well in the rooms, it was hot and stuffy. The hotel does provide a fan (upon request) but it did not help much. Rooms look quite tired. Nobody picks up the phone at the front desk. Location was good.
My partner and I stayed in the bunk room for a night and it was great! The bed was so comfortable and the blankets were clean and soft. Our room stayed at the perfect temp even though it was 10° outside!
Thank you very much!! Thank you for accommodating my short notice reservation. I will use your service again. I look forward to working with you again in the future.
The service and staff were great as well as the location, however, the rooms are very worn out. The dark carpet is unnerving to walk on barefoot and the bathrooms are laid out such that you're basically falling into the toilet from the shower and there is no way for the dirty shower curtain to not touch your body while you are showering. No counter space at the sink - just generally difficult to be...
The location was great and the hotel staff were very helpful! The twin room was spacious and comfortable, allowing me to spread out my suitcase and relax freely! There were also many photo spots and I could take Purikura photos on the first floor, so it was a memorable experience!

Exceptional Stay - Thanks to a Remarkable Staff Member Especially Maria! The hotel is in an excellent location, and overall, it was a delightful stay. Lovely old hotel -- clean, comfortable. Some rooms are pretty small as you'd expect in a building this age. There is no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker in the room. The French café near the entrance, just off the lobby, is first-rate. The cocktail lounge is cozy for a nightcap. Service is superb.
I checked in again and specifically requested that the window not face a wall. This made the room feel much more spacious. The room was large, but the bathroom was really small. Overall, it was very good value for money.
Very satisfied Sanitation: Very good Facilities: Good Environment: Beautiful Service: Enthusiastic ❤️
The family suite is very practical, with a good environment and convenient surroundings. It is close to Central Park, very convenient for shopping and traveling, and the service is also quite meticulous. I will consider booking here next time.
The room is small, but the bed is big enough! Overall it's good, because the location is good, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Natural History are within walking distance! Special thanks to the long-haired Asian lady at the hotel front desk. Although she can't speak Chinese, she can understand what we say and is very enthusiastic to help us. Thank her very much! Excellent location, making it easy to get around. Overall, from the facilities to the service, and the environment to the staff, everything left a deep and wonderful impression on us. We'll definitely recommend it to friends and family. The daily prices, however, fluctuate quite a bit.
Every staff member I encountered was wonderful. We even received champagne as a welcome drink.
Service: Typical New York style, quite serious and by-the-book. If you arrive early, they'll take your name and number and call you when a room is ready. Room: Although small, it's very clean. The location is excellent, very close to Times Square with lots of attractions and shopping nearby.
The breakfast is pretty good. And the service is good as well, the location is in the center so it convenient to take bus or subway.
location was great, the hotel itself was comfortable. The room were big enough both bedroom and bathroom. will stay here again when in NYC.

A nice hotel in downtown manhattan, really convenient to go to many tourist attractions
The room was very comfortable, clean, and felt high-quality. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the Wall Street Charging Bull. It's also very close to Trinity Church and the New York Stock Exchange.
Great location, and the price was decent too. The room was a bit small though.
Front desk was helpful in assisting us with a HVAC issue. Breakfast was not spectacular, even pricey, but it was doable with the breakfast vouchers. Water temperature fluctuated during shower between hot and cold. Other than these small issues, it was a nice stay.
This Garden Inn in Manhattan, New York, is an absolute gem for short-term stays, offering unbeatable value for money! Its location alone is a huge win, right in the heart of downtown. We got upgraded which was very nice. The place was beautiful. Only thing is that our room we couldn’t adjust the temperature and in November having the AC on and not being able to turn it off made the room very cold. Otherwise everything else was great. The room was dirty, the tissues were blue and dusty, but the staff were very welcoming.
It's been two weeks since check-out, and the deposit hasn't been returned! I booked for someone else and paid with my card.
The room was great! However, the parking lot management was chaotic. One staff member insisted on a tip before parking, making up various excuses like it was late or the car was oversized. Also, they would make me pay the parking fee twice with my credit card, otherwise they wouldn't let me park.
The location is excellent. The subway is nearby, and most of Wall Street is within walking distance, which is a huge plus. The ferry terminal is also nearby.
I cannot believe this is a “Hyatt Centric”. No way is it a 4-star hotel, the best I would give is 2-star! The same hotel in Hong Kong is almost like a 5-star with so much more to offer hotel guests. This one in NYC is absolutely unacceptable. The only positive thing is a spacious room. The room has two paper cups and nothing else! The hotel is located next to fifth Avenue, shopping malls, cafes and Korean town. Walking around and finding for food is easy. The room is small, but functional and clean. I have stayed here for 3 days. Customer services are very responsive when I request to change bed sheet, bring water kettle and water. I would recommend solo travelers to stay.
Absolutely phenomenal staff at this hotel, we were immediately welcomed by the whole staff who made us feel right at home! Rooms are good, small but very comfortable and with wonderful views. Food was great and we will absolutely be back the next time we come. I can’t say enough thank you’s to the staff at the hotel for everything they did and making our stay so amazing!
The hotel cannot be better placed!! For my first time in New York, I wanted to be well-placed and not lose time taking the subway. I walk mostly because it is a 20-minute walk to Broadway theatres/Times Square, about 10-15 minutes' walk to iron flat building and Grand Central Station, and less than 5 minutes' walk to the Empire State Building. The service and location is great. The rooms you see on tiktok that are great views are mainly on the top 3 or 4 floors and on a certain side of the building. The "Standard" room was larger than I expected and very comfortable. A sitting area with multiple seats as well as a queen-sized bed with a great mattress. Hydration stations on each floor. Spotless room, very attentive staff. Highly recommend!
Scarface-era vibe The hotel has been recently renovated with a design that channels a Scarface-era vibe—think updated 1970s with plenty of chrome and glass blocks. While the aesthetic is unique, the overall experience falls short. The lobby is underwhelming, and the elevators are painfully slow. The room is quite small, only about 10 square meters by eye, but in New York, where every inch of land is at a premium, I highly recommend it. Check-in was smooth. The room was clean and comfortable. The bar on the first floor had a nice atmosphere. The location was good, close to the subway station, so I could go anywhere. It was also great that I could manage my room all on the iPad.
