Good location but service can be better
I have informed the hotel about the same that morning and they agreed to keep two queen beds for us. When we arrived the room was not available, they put us in two bed separate rooms with no view
The next day when we were leaving our luggage at the reception we met one of the most unprofessional customer service professional at the reception who was behaving like a kindergarten teacher
When I came down to the reception, a lady at the reception was kind enough to look into my complaints and arranged the right room for us from the next night
I have booked a partial view, 2 queen beds room for three nights. I was travelling from Boston and hence was checking in late
It is really inconvenient to change the rooms when you are staying at a place only for 3 days

Times Square and Broadway were both within walking distance! We stayed for several nights, and they, of course, changed our towels daily. It was a fun stay, even with five of us in the room.
The room was clean minus some dust bunnies under the beds, and every day when we would return from a long day of site-seeing, the room was freshly cleaned, all towels replaced
The shower head flooded all our big towels and bathroom as it faced the back of the tub where towels were placed. The check in though was a disaster
I have to say this is a perfect example of "don't believe everything you read online". The staff were extremely friendly, including several front desk folks, housekeeping, and the bartender, who we loved
, much calmer (by NY city standards) Walking distance to Hudson Yards, Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building, and Times Square. Police department next door, which I found to be a positive
I've read reviews where people are concerned it is unsecured, but its a large room right behind the front desk with a barn door. We never felt concerned about our luggage security
Though not spacious, the room was immaculately clean and tidy, with city views. It came equipped with a coffee machine (generously stocked with coffee pods, milk, and sugar) and a microwave
3 min walk to Empire State Building, 1 min to subway station, very good breakfast! Totally recommend!)
Good location, next to subway station. Good service, room is on the small side, will stay here again
Everything fine, just hotel and rooms a little bit old, will need a refresh.
This made enjoying unlimited coffee and hot beverages incredibly convenient – a detail we truly appreciated!
The Bad: Loud AC, which is pretty typical, but honestly it wasn't that bad because it helped block out city noise. The Ugly: There wasn't anything that would prevent me from staying here again

Partly because we cannot do printed justice to how well you run the place and partly because we don’t want anyone else to know how well run it is so that we keep availability all to ourselves whenever we need you
Great stay at a box house hotel! I recommend the loft suites as they are spacious and include a full kitchen (stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, pots and pans). The decor is unique and a little quirky
Everything and i mean everything was amazing about this hotel every single staff member is super sweet and friendly, rooms are spotless and big and prefect, prices are great if you bundle
I also like the rooms, they were very clean the design was great!
The only issue was their laundry machines here were old and the washer did not spin the clothes enough so we had to run them through the drier twice
First time staying in Brooklyn. There is a market nearby to buy any food and alcohol you need. The subway is about a 15 min walk either way to get to all the main attractions! More space than hotels in Chelsea
Where do I begin? I chose to celebrate the annual 211-119 FDNY Dinner Dance at The Box House Rooftop for a number of reasons. the custom catering menu they created for us. the service they promised to provide
Free tea and coffee all day and great machines with flavoured water at your desired temperature and sparkling or not! They also have free fruit, biscuits (if you're quick) and a coffee/hot choc machine available from 1pm for a few hours
It’s located in a great spot, close to many major tourist attractions and as well as the Subway and Penn Station, which offers convenient access to the Long Island Rail Road back to JFK Airport
Excellent location. Don't expect much from a convenient hotel in New York, with great service and amenities.
Reception offers a free baggage storage service and on check-in, you’re given a water bottle which can be filled at a new refreshment station on Floor 2, with lots of great flavours and the option to carbonate the water
For a business trip they have it all
location. clean, great staff at the front desk (I had to check out one hour late, I asked int early morning and they accomodated the request with a smile)
Overall great
The A/C was powerful and cooled down/warmed up the room quickly - my only criticism is that the rooms aren’t very well soundproofed, and we could hear other guests both in the early mornings and evenings

Hidden Gem
Everyone was so kind and the space was wonderful. Enjoyed the rooftop lounge - the views were incredible and the experience was perfect
A sophisticated oasis at the heart of NYC. The team were incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. This is a great location from which to explore the city
The staff were so attentive and pleasant! They really made our stay feel special! Thank you!
Pappy Van Winkle and family, high end Michter's , all sorts of Blanton's in every single bar for our old fashioned. And some many other super premium spirits that are incredibly hard to find
The room itself was clean, super comfy, and the vintage style freestanding tub was so romantic. The shower was really nice, not a spot on the linens and towels, and the room was quiet
In addition, my boyfriend and I enjoyed the use of the bathrobes and slippers in the room. Little Ned around the corner had the best Negroni I've ever had and breakfast at Cecconi's was super posh

In the city center, transportation is convenient, small but very comfortable and clean, and the store staff are also very friendly. There is a breakfast buffet every morning. Will consider it next time.
My wife and I spent last weekend at this hotel and we are very pleased. We were able to upgrade our room and get checked in earlier than expected
Stay was very clean, temperature was all maintained, only the things they should have proper breakfast arrangements with more breakfast menu and place to sit when it the hotel gets full. Rest it was all good
The staff in the breakfast cafeteria is awesome: Couple of Dominican 🇩🇴 workers, who are the best!! At check out time, Alaina, at the Front Desk booked a taxi for me and was great at explaining me my options
Excellent stay! Clean, comfy room and spotless bathroom. Loved the unlimited free bottled water & coffee in the lobby. Safe, ideal location and less than a 10-minute walk to Penn Station
We did call and ask for more pillows and were told they would be sent up to our rooms however that didn't happen. Overall we are very satisfied and would consider staying here again

Stayed for five nights. The location is very convenient. It is very close to Broadway and Times Square. The room is clean and hygienic. I highly recommend this hotel and will choose to stay again
Amazing location just off Broadway. Great room and service. Highly recommended
The view from the room was fantastic — though I think that might only apply to the higher floors. The location is great and very convenient; you can walk to the pier, so the access is perfect
However, the walls are quite thin. You can clearly hear noises from the hallway, as well as from the rooms above and next to you
So much character and charm! Perfect location for your new york stay.

I have difficulty speaking English, but everyone made a great effort to understand me and assist me with excellence. I was very tired when I arrived, and their warm, friendly, and caring attitude made all the difference
You can really get to anywhere from this hotel - Madison Square Garden and tons of shopping, great restaurants and bars! Very comfortable - not huge but didn't need it to be.
The hotel staff is excellent! The hotel was clean and well maintained. It has laundry facilities too which is great. Good location and only four blocks from the train station
I would like to thank Katherine, Crystal, and the entire Marriott team. I was welcomed with so much kindness, patience, and attention
Located just a block from the bustling heart of Times Square, the Courtyard by Marriott Times Square West is a solid choice for travelers who want proximity to the action without being in the constant sensory overload
The lobby is a bright, multi-functional space with a Starbucks and the obligatory lobby bar, which is always welcome after a long day of sightseeing. The staff are generally efficient and professional

My partner and I stayed at the OYO Times Square during a brief stay in New York. The location is superb, it is very close to Times Square and to other landmarks. It is also very close to the subway and bus terminals
Great location within steps of Times Square
I only stayed one night and it was good for one night
Good location to visit all the midtown attractions. But likely will not stay here again. Really below my expectations for a prominent location in Manhattan
The hotel was very clean, the staff super friendly. When in NYC you do not spend a lot of time in your room. All I needed was a place to sleep and shower. The room was perfect for my needs and very clean and comfortable
Great location, helpful staff!
after i arrived the hotel they asked me charge more eventhough didnt on trip.com not really enjoyed the hotel

Additionally, the towels were cheap and shedding i got piece of cotton all over my body drying off. I recommend they reorder new ones
Large quiet, clean room with a great shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of drawers and closet space. The location was great.
Our room was so big and clean and the staff very friendly. My second time staying here and close to subways and lots of foo choices!
Great location in Brooklyn. Have stayed here before and will again. Our king bed & mattress in our 5th floor room was heavenly.
The staff were super friendly, helpful and very accommodating. My only disappointment was the timing of the room service, ideally a midday cleaning service would’ve been preferred o
Staff was pleasant enough and room was adequately clean and comfortable. I downgraded because our room was not adequately stocked. Booked for 3 people, we were only given two towels the first night

Such a cool hotel!!! The design and materials are amazing! The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive, and it is convenient to get to so many great places in the city. I would highly recommend it!
We had a great stay! The rooms are a great size for NYC and the lobby was amazing and so festive for the holidays. The service was outstanding too! We can’t wait to come back next year!
The staff was extremely welcoming at check in, glsss of champagne to kick off your stay, clean and fun atmosphere, great food, live music and just a wonderful hotel in NYC,
I loved the stay here. The room was big and nicely decorated. The bar was very nice and great food and drinks. I would absolutely come back here again.
We checked in very late & Marco at the front desk was kind, helpful and accommodating. Will def stay again!
There was no coffee in the room, either. They did bring some up when we asked

Wonderful location, very close to Times Square and subway on the corners.
Old hotel, with carpet, but clean.
Breakfast was lacking, with limited items to choose from and items that were out of stock.
The hotel's location was perfect, right next to Times Square. It was nice to be able to walk around the city. The breakfast was also decent.
Nice hotel in a convenient location of Times Square Close proximity to 2 subway stations. Amenities is so so… no slippers in the room
comportable, kindness, just bestest hotel!
Location is great and the room itself has no issue but there are no common ammenites unless you ask
Good location next to Bryant Park, friendly staff, clean room.
My only critique would be that the rooms need a renovation (still nicer than most hotels) and I don’t like when hotels don’t put a door between the shower and bedroom but besides that it’s pretty much perfect
1: location is about as good as it gets for anything other than the financial district
2: hotel staff, especially front desk, are as good as it gets
The Andaz hotel in Midtown New York was wonderful! The beds were so comfy, The staff was great and we loved the location across from the NY Library and Bryant Park!!
The wooden table top seating was not comfortable. Received good service from staff at the restaurant. All in all, a pleasant experience
Great location. Walking distance to all attractions. Clean rooms. Friendly staff.
Overall, the property is a great choice for a short stay. It's centrally located, and the room is modern, spacious, and offers a beautiful view. A major highlight was the exceptionally comfortable bed and pillows
The building itself is very modern, though the lobby tends to be busy, making it difficult to find a quiet spot at times. That said, the staff truly go above and beyond with their service
One of the best NY city hotel experiences I've had for that price range! Midtown is always hectic but given that this is a stones throw away from Times Square the street is surprisingly calm & needless to say hyper convenient to walk/ subway/ uber to anywhere
Gym is okay, has a lovely lounge/ working area downstairs w/ good WiFi & serves as a good quiet place to work or order in so you don't need to eat in your room. Service was excellent also - very happy & 100% would return
There is a gym in the basement, so it is good for working out, and the lobby is quiet, so it is good for meetings. It was nice that we could get water as much as we wanted from the lower floor
The perfect hotel in New York. The location its really good for visit all the city. The subway its near. Near the hotel there are fastfood, restaurant, shop... everything you need.
Very spacious room (for NY), immaculate bathroom with Malin & Goetz high end amenities, clean linen & AC/ heating. Can be noisy if you're on the street side, but for NY it is ok
Great location. The room is compact with most things I need. There’s also ample seating area at the lobby with free water/coffee/tea which is greatly appreciated.

Just finished a fantastic stay at Archer Hotel New York and it's easily one of my favorite Midtown spots — full 5 stars from me!
The location is unbeatable (5 stars): at 45 W 38th St (between 5th and 6th Aves), you're right in the Garment District heart — steps from Bryant Park, a quick walk to the Empire State Building, Times Square, 5th Avenue shopping, Herald Square, and major subways (B/D/F/M,...
During check-in, we mentioned to him that we were celebrating expecting our first child in a few weeks, and they surprised us with a thoughtful treat bag wishing us well, filled with salted caramel candy and assorted snacks
The location is perfect… close to everything NYC has to offer. We had the most wonderful Christmas here. The hotel is charming, reasonably priced, and the thoughtful little amenities made our stay even more special
I was so surprised they sent a small gift for them both + card! They also gave us a free piece of cheesecake at the spyglass for a birthday. The views are great from the rooftop or one of the empire view rooms
We stayed here for a long girls weekend. from the moment we walked in, we LOVED it. The staff was so friendly and kind. Notably, Brian, was incredible. He was so attentive and always provided a warm welcome
I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived, every staff member was incredibly kind and welcoming. The customer service was exceptional throughout our entire stay

The views are amazing, and the location is excellent. Downstairs, you'll find the 1 train, which takes about 30 minutes to Times Square
The Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, and the Charging Bull are all within walking distance
Very well placed. Most probably I’ll return
It was just a well decorated room. We had a great view. No kettle, no complementary water, luggage storage was with a fee. Changing elevators was also not something you'd look for.
I can accept that you don't provide the brush abd tooth paste, but what the hell you don't provide slipper ??? == this made me a lot of inconvenient
**** stain on the toilet as we walked in, door doesnt lock. Have to slam the front door for it to close. Lift got stuck every single day

They also had complimentary wine and cheese, but sadly, we were informed the night before we left. I guess the lady who checked us in forgot to mention that, but that would have been nice to have
I really enjoyed my stay here! Check in was a breeze. The employees were extremely nice and welcoming! Every time we walked in or out of the hotel/elevator we were always greeted with smiles
The security at the door was also very nice and welcoming! Our room was on the 11th floor, although we didn't have a city view, the room itself was very clean and accommodating
We didn't stay in Midtown so we could spend our vacation inside, so size of room didn't bother us a bit. It's small, but it's Manhattan
We could see the ESB from our room!
Rooftop bar has amazing vibe and view of ESB, but drinks are crazy over-priced. Not worth going back for people staying there, IMO. Which is disappointing considering the rare view
The concierge kept trying to sell us on Marriot vouchers. They did not offer to help us with our experience, they were trying to sell me more. I felt hounded by staff upon entering and exiting hotel every time

location is perfect, close to transport and other facilities.
Don't be put off by the negative reviews! Very nice staff. Hot and cold breakfast options are plentiful. Free cookies, coffee, hot chocolate and apple cider all day at reception
Very busy dining area and lobby but it's a hotel!? I'd definitely stay again
I opted for city view high floor and glad that they gave us the top floor of the building and facing the city. The view from the room was amazing
They allowed luggage storage before we could check in and they allowed early check in too. The ball boy was very courteous and helpful. They have a small dining area but it was manageable
Breakfast options could be improved. The receptionists were really courteous and helpful. They allowed us to take water bottles as many as we can, which was really great
Overall, this hotel is very clean and conveniently located, with good dining and other facilities nearby. The only downside is that the mattress is too soft, making it difficult to sleep. I hope they can improve this.
The unique plant growing system in the lobby was a fun surprise! The only downside was that we weren’t informed about ongoing construction (which didn’t bother us much since we were out during the day) and we weren’t sure whether the on-site restaurant was open or able to visit the rooftop
Rooms are small (not unusual for NYC, even so). Sound insulation isn't great; I was often woken up when neighboring rooms operated their doors, talked in the hallway etc. - again, not unusual in most NYC hotels
It felt like it was coming through the vents and it prevented us from sleeping and gave us a headache. We checked out a day early for a few reason, but one of them was as definitely the smell
Stayed while helping our daughter move into her first apartment. The front desk clerk was super friendly when we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable
Bed was comfortable, but late in the evening a smell started coming into the room. not sure what it was but it smelled like acetone or some paint/stain
