Meros B&B in Khiva

Going to be thinking about this stay for a while. I loved the beautifully decorated rooms, and the gorgeous balcony with a view of the Ichon Qala walls.

The shashlik I had here for dinner might have been my best of the trip! AC worked a treat during 40 degree + days (make sure to fully close the bathroom door for it to be most effective). The owner was so kind and helpful, and was a true lifesaver when he arranged an early morning taxi for us to the train station when no Yandex cars were available.

A very very well deserved 5 stars and an absolutely lovely stay.

Fantastic stay. Room was very comfortable- slept well in the summer heat with efficient air con. Owner was exceptionally kind, unobtrusive and helpful. Painted ceilings in my room and above balcony amazing! Good breakfast. If you stay here, you MUST order supper on the roof terrace. The setting sun, views over the old town and the delicious food will make this one of the highlights of your stay. Oh- and don't bother with local taxis- just get the Yandex Go App- a fraction of the price and very efficient!

This is a little gem inside the walls of Khiva. The owners were very welcoming, the (standard) room is comfortable and clean and the location is perfect, next to the walls. The roof top has a better view for watching the sunset than the walls itself, and having dinner there and watching the lights at night is amazing. Breakfast was ok, the home made dinner very good, with vegetarian options. All the ceilings are beautifully painted by hand. Make sure you pay a little extra for room with a balcony, because the standard room has a plain white ceiling. Everything you might need, including ATM's, shops, restaurants and cafe is inside the walls, so you don't need to leave while you're staying here. Will recommend this to everyone!

I can't recommend this place enough. We've spent 2 nights with these hosts in October 2025 as a group of 4 friends and sharing 2 rooms. The location is fantastic and within the old town of Khiva. The rooms are different in terms of decor but all are clean and with necessary amenities. My photos show room # 3 which had 2 twin beds. Common space includes the rooftop where you can watch a beautiful sunset. We went with breakfasts only but hosts also offer dinners which looked great. Our breakfasts were delicious. We've asked the hosts to help to arrange a transfer to Urganch airport at 5am and another transfer to Nukus. We were so impressed that they actually were there at 5am to ensure the driver was clear about the route and the destination. When you factor a reasonable price in, Meros is a great place to include in your itinerary.

Nicely located just inside the North Gate, this had the personal touch of a family hotel. The hosts were friendly and helpful with the rooms decent size, if somewhat sparsely equipped (no fridge or tv). Breakfast was hearty and varied. Only real downside was the rock hard bed!

This b&b is in an ideal place to stay in Khiva, close to the north gate with lovely furniture and colourful decorations. We had a warm welcome with tea and could also have a fantastic dinner on the roof top with an incredible view over the city , just for me and my husband.
Great quality price rate, too.

Ziyovaddin and Madina provided a warm and welcoming service. It was a lovely start to our stay in Uzbekistan. Proof of registration was provided. Breakfast was delicious and varied each morning. We were given breakfast in a box when we had to leave at 6am on the morning of our trip to the Aral Sea. We organised this trip through Ziyovaddin in the B&B and proof of registration for this was provided also. After much research, booking the tour through him proved to be the best price and included all the sights that we had seen listed with all other tour companies. The drivers, Bahrom and Asad were lovely - warm and friendly. They had little English, we communicated through an app when necessary. The boys at the yurt camp where we stayed by the Aral Sea were so polite and friendly also. We were given late check out at the B&B on the day we were leaving as there wasn't anyone booked into our room - a really nice gesture. The location of Meros is excellent - inside the city walls. It is minutes walk from the popular Terasse Café and all the beautiful sights of Ichon-Qala.

Lovely guest house located within the walls of Khiva. Really handy for exploring the old city and the guest house is cosy and friendly with a nice breakfast. I had a private balcony too! Great to be able to return to the hotel for breaks from the heat.

Beautiful place with lovely durries( handmade carpets) and painted ceilings which the owners father was an expert at. Very helpful owner. Exceptional stay. You get the feel of the place as the family is one of 3000 people living within Ichan kala.

I had a lovely stay at Meros together with two girlfriends. Staying inside the city walls of Khiva was one of our favorite experiences in Uzbekistan, and everyone at Meros went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. They gave us directions, made phone calls for us to sort out logistics, answered our endless questions, and served us an amazing breakfast. I highly recommend choosing Meros for your visit to Khiva!
