Visited with my Mum for two nights in Bruges. We had a great stay - staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Good distance to the city centre, we got an Uber from the train station which was reasonably priced. Good options at breakfast, this was buffet style and very tasty, plenty of choice. The dining room is beautiful with sufficient space. You can hear the bell...
Really Enjoyed our stay Location: perfect walking distance from everything, but set back enough to be quiet. Breakfast: great - good range of options, constantly restocked and good fresh coffee. Rooms: very clean, beds were comfortable, shower was nice and hot and the rooms were what you expect size wise in Europe, not big but big enough considering the price. Staff: professional and available to answer...
Location is perfect close to Borg Square and Christmas markets. We got an Uber from the station, was reasonable price, quick and easy. Hotel is traditional but we stayed in modern annexe at back meaning best of both worlds. Extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style, really relaxed and plenty of choice. I would definitely recommend here.
The Patritius is on a quiet street in Bruges, but walking distance to everything. This family-run hotel is extremely welcoming. The included breakfast is a white-tablecloth affair, with a nice buffet and fancy coffee machines in a very elegant room. The rooms are spacious and modern, as is the bathroom. The beds are comfortable and the nights are very quiet. The family members who staff the front...
A beautiful old home that is now restored as a hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable, large and quiet, and reasonably priced. The breakfast had plenty of choices. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
Big, beautiful, clean, and modern room. Home away from home. Friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located. Close to market square and points of interest.

Hotel was in a superb location in the heart of the city.
Room was very spacious and clean. Service was excellent and very friendly welcoming. Highly recommend
The location is excellent, right next to the cathedral and very close to the bell tower square. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The room was larger than expected, clean and odor-free. For tourists, this is a family-run guesthouse with excellent value for money.
Extremely satisfied! Breakfast was top notch, rooms super cozy and excellent service. I would definitely recommend.
I loved this place, not a chain-type hotel, some character and friendly. Breakfast area was small and a bit awkward getting food, but I didn't mind as everyone was polite and patient. Nice courtyard area to sit with a huge and beautiful living wall of creeping plants, a haven for wildlife.
The 't Gheestelic Hof is a lovely place to stay in Brugge. Conveniently located in a quiet spot between the train station and the town center, it was the perfect base for day trips and for enjoying Brugge. Everything was spotlessly clean and beautiful. Our room was a generous size and beautifully appointed. We enjoyed the peace of the courtyard garden and the box of chocolates in our room. The breakfast...
This review is not of Hotel Het Gheestelikhof.
When we headed to the hotel, there was a sign on the door (as of early February) that said "Due to renovations, we have arranged for you to stay at an alternative hotel."
We were surprised that we hadn't been notified in advance, but the alternative hotel was only a 10-minute walk away.
We were able to stay at the upgraded hotel without any issues or extra...

Hostel-feeling hotel close to the beach
Rather retro hotel that seems like a former home for old people in style and look. Many pensioners as visitors but also some students. A distinct hostel-feeling overall. Lovely location with a short walk to the beach - but very strange that swimming was forbidden in early October.
Staff very helpful, safe storage for our bikes which is a big plus. Room very roomy and clean. Definitely recommend.
Rooms need updating- at least change analogue TV.
Friendly and helpful personnel, clean rooms
Thank you for letting us have a relaxing holiday 😊
Excellent
Recptionist very helpful, hotel clean ,room clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay again. Cant fault it.
Short break in Flanders
The hotel is conveniently placed being served by a frequent tram service and across the road from a wide, clean beach. The studio rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-equipped.

Very good location, comfortable bed, clean room, stylish bathroom. The room size is correct, the whole hotel has a nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the breakfeast is contain all basic food you need.
You can leave your luggage in a separate, closed room.
The rooms are small but functional, breakfast was good fresh and plentiful. Check in/Check out and parking was easy. Location is ideal. One small niggle.....the bedside sockets in our room were at floor level and underneath the bedside shelf. I had to be on my hands and knees to plug in.
Pros: good price, friendly staff, close to many attractions and walking distance to the train station.
Cons: rooms seemed to be missing some basic amenities. I know that's somewhat to be expected in very old buildings, but still.
Ideally located within walking distance of Bruges itself. Rooms are a good size, with comfortable beds and good showers, or a bath, if preferred. Breakfast offers a good choice of continental style dishes, and the staff, as always, are friendly and approachable. Parking is possible too, plus a sauna and fitness room!!
We always stay there and will continue to do so. Not expensive and worth the cost
We stayed for a night at Hotel Maraboe. The location was fantastic. The service was friendly and the decor in the hotel was nice.
For us there we just a few niggles which included the super thin walls so we could hear everything from the rooms next to us. The shower wasn’t clean and was clogged with hair and the pillows uncomfy.
The room was very affordable and wouldn’t let the niggles we had put...

Standard room. Perfectly fine as a cheap and cheerful no frills room for the night. Furniture and fittings had a fair bit of wear and tear but the room was spacious and it's a really convenient location thanks to its proximity to the station.
The one downside is the bed: rather than a double it's two singles pushed together which is quite awkward if you want to cuddle up with your partner in the night
We stayed there for 4 nights at the end of May 2019 and with a large group of 27. We had rented a conference room which was nicely set up and ready to go for our group. The hotel is very convenient to the train station (about a 5-10 minute walk) and is located in a nice quaint/quiet neighborhood. The hotel is also a short walk to some nice patio restaurants (near the train station) and small stores...

Clean and comfortable, recommended
The room I was given was on the first floor. There was a factory in front of it, which made a constant buzzing noise day and night. The curtains on the windows did not block out the light, which affected my sleep.

The hotel is very similar to the hotel from a Japanese horror game, very atmospheric, but in the bathroom there are cobwebs and dust in the corners, but otherwise a good night's sleep!
Motel, poor soundproofing in the room, difficult to rotate the blinds, relatively remote
Definitely very friendly and helpful service! It’s peaceful and quiet at night as well.

Upon arrival, we were given a room right away, even though we were early, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, upon arrival, it was disappointing. I stayed two days in this hotel at the end of June/ 2024. In general it meets the expectations of 65% as a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is good, however one point is really big problem for the hotel.
They never mention the high noisy of the street in front of the hotel. The back-side rooms can have less noise but the rooms in front are really big problem. We stayed in a front room. We think first night...
Very good hotel. Friendly staff especially the concierge/bar man. Great location.Very clean and a good breakfast. Would stay again.
The rooms are small and if you are tall (1.95m) the beds are terrible. The staff is nice but they only speak very little english. The rooms are clean!
The rooms are nice but a little small. The apartment is beautiful and spacious. The beds are good. The apartment also has a big kitchen. You have everything you need. The personnel wasn't always friendly. The corona breakfast was small. The parking isn't convenient, it is very small. It is also cheaper to park in the street(if there is a place to park). The dinner was delicious.

Great place if you want a simple room. It’s nothing special or luxurious but the rooms have everything they need and are clean. It’s also close to the train station but not too close to be noisy. The owner is also very nice.
Friendly staff. Good services.
Excellent for proximity to train station. <30 min walk to center or uni. Very friendly and helpful guys at front desk. Has Indian-Nepali restaurant/bar attached, but I didn't tty it. Clean and comfortable room. Only negative was dilapidated light well 'view.' Preferred to close curtains and pretend there was no window.
Excellent for proximity to train station, right across circle. Walk
...but I know for sure that this hotel is average, nothing more. It's clearly been a while, and especially the common areas could use a serious refresh! The room had a nice, large bed, more than decent sheets, and a working bathroom. It's fine for one night. I didn't pay, so I can't comment on the value for money. Or even on the breakfast.
I had a third floor double, with elevator access, but still with 5 stairs, in case that’s a problem. Very basic hotel, but everything works OK, and it was clean with a comfortable bed with thin pillows. Had a cube refrigerator, a little weak. Good location.
It seems a little overpriced on the face of it, but in fact, nothing is really better in town short of hostels. Gent is a very expensive city...

The best thing is the location. It is right next to the Christmas market. The owners are very nice. He can explain everything for you. He is always welcome and happy to help you. The room is clean but pretty old style, but it’s very clean. They have all style toilet and that’s it
Very good location but no warning about: 1. Cannot enter the road to the hotel between 1-6pm without prior registration. 2. Even if you drive into the road after 6pm the nearest parking spaces are blocked for construction 3. The bells will ring every 5-10 minutes from the morning onwards 4. A LOT of mosquitoes.
The hotel is basic no frills but was perfect for us for a couple of nights. We booked a triple room for myself my husband and our 11 year old son. The room was huge and also had a little kitchen area which was great. The location is great right off the main square. There is not air con but they do provide a large fan which was enough to cool the room when sleeping. The shower room had a shower over...
Good location and walking distance to the main attractions and local restaurants. The only issue is the noise level from the hotel room. Since there's no AC we have to keep the windows open but that means you can hear people walking and talking in the streets, along with the luggages. If you want to sleep in, you'll be awaken by the church bells at 9 am.
The room is quite tiny, not much space around...
Very good location for exploring Bruges, a bit far from the train station but right in the center. The room is adequate, with slightly dated but functional furniture.

At first glance, this quaint hotel might make you second-guess your decision—there are small stains on the carpet, the walls, and the ceilings. But what Postiljon lacks in thorough maintenance, it more than makes up for with everything else. And I mean everything.

Excellent hotel location. Rooms and hotel lovely and chic and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful . good value for money. In a busy vibrant area so expect some noise but perfect for us thank you ! We would definitely use this hotel again for a city break
We are currently on our second day & leaving tomorrow, our room 1.2 is very nice and quirky with no noise from outside considering we are right in the centre of the pedestrianised old town with a nice touch of a mini fridge in the guise of an old fashioned radio & large shower. We travelled on our motorbike & the lovely hosts went out of their way to provide secure parking for it which we are so grateful...
This city centre hotel next to the cathedral is set over three floors. Because of the age of the building the steep and winding stairs may prove difficult to those of limited mobility. The rooms are graded as superior, standard and budget and priced accordingly. Our superior room was large and on the ground floor. The bathroom was in need of refurbishment and the addition of a wardrobe would be a...
The service was correct, but it was a bit expensive for the condition of the hotel and the variety of the breakfast. The bed was comfortable but the room was quite tiny. You also hear everytime when anyone goes to the (shared) toilet. I can recommend it if you're...
Nice hotel located next to the Grote Markt and really cute streets full of cafes and restaurants. Breakfast buffet is really nice and the staff is friendly. We had a pretty nice experience with good service, a perfect location in the middle of the centre and we enjoyed our time over there very much!
Had a little staycation here for a night and it’s a nice hotel if you’d like to splurge a little. It’s super duper close to the train station and only a short walk to a number of restaurants and fast food chains.
The hotel is very clean and in an excellent location, just a short walk from the train and bus stations, with a tram stop right in front of the property. Check-in was a bit slow due to the large number of guests, but the staff handled it politely. The room was spacious and spotless, making the stay very comfortable.
Located just outside the train station so it’s convenient. You have to check in in separate building though which is 5 minutes away. The room is spacious and the bed is super comfortable. There is a problem of doubling city tax which it written to be included with the room when paying from this app but then I got charged again in the front desk.
The most beautiful train station in the world - next to it, convenient transportation, easy access, the hotel is a bit old, but it is clean and quiet to live in, the price is good value for money, the disadvantage is that parking is not very convenient.
Love it! Great location, found the hotel right after exiting the station. Breakfast was always nice, and the staff were friendly.

Amazing, old-fashioned hotel and a very nice and communicative staff. You need to be prepared for old furniture and facilities, but they just fit the style of this accommodation.
If you have the possibility to try the breakfast: do it! It was one of the best I ever had in a hotel, although (or because of) there was no buffet.
Very special hotel, as if frozen in time when it has first opened more than 30 years ago, or built about 80 years ago I guess.
The owner is a lovely and smily guy, and with his lovely friendly dog made my arrival as pleasant is it could ever be. Don't expect any modern gadgets of fancy technologies, but enjoy the real simplicity of great hospitality. Btw- I loved the breakfast too!
Charming place in Art Deco style. Very friendly people. Old but spacious and comfortable rooms. Personal service at breakfast (so much nicer than a buffet). Close to public transportation and city center. There is no restaurant inside the hotel, but the nearby restaurant Minerva (seemingly of the same owners) is worth a visit: it has an excellent Belgian cuisine and offers high class service.
A very friendly and traditional former Antwerp merchants home run by husband and wife. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, but the breakfast in the morning was wonderful - well done! Great for a quiet stay in something a little more special than a large chain hotel.

This place is crying out for The Hotel Inspector or Gordon Ramsay to storm in and shake the owners out of their stupor. There’s genuine potential here — the kind of charm and setting that could make it special — but it’s completely undermined by a burnt-out, disengaged owner whose negativity sets the tone the moment you walk in.
There were no menus, no prices on display, and ultimately no transparency...

Very friendly lady who checked us in. A bit like an aunty greeting us with open arms! Two double beds squeezed into a room but was fine for what we needed.
The hotel location is quite good, staff are friendly, and they have a nice basic breakfast buffet. However, the property is not maintained very well and it really shows its age. Additionally, I was there during hot summer months and the lack of air conditioning made it difficult to sleep at times, especially since there are no screens on the windows to keep bugs out when they’re left open.
