Era Palace Hotel in Gonio

Very disappointed about our stay that we have waited for so long.

To start with, there is only one lift that can barely fit 4 people and there are 12 floors and it is also used by the staff to move beds, bottles etc. So you either have to wait 5-10 minutes for it to arrive or you would have to walk up/down on your own.

The next and very very important it is the rooms. They were extremely dirty upon our arrival. I have called and spoken personally to the reception staff, asking them to clean it up as there were some hairs and dust behind the doors in the bathroom. Also all the towels and bedding sets were very dirty as someone else just used them 🤮 for 6 days none came to clean it or change it even when I specifically asked them….

Next is about the breakfast. Be ready that you will be served exactly the same thing every single DAY!!! I can not understand how is it possible in a hotel that claims to be a 4 star hotel.

Water, in Georgia you need to pay for it. When asked at the reception to refill our room the answer was that the management has decided not to provide it anymore only upon arrivals. Well…

Parking, it says that there is but expect that you will have to find a place elsewhere and then walk all the way to the hotel with your toddler and bags.

On the day of the departure housekeeper opened the door at least 4 times even though we asked not to disturb (ironically when we were asking them to come and clean none was there)

I would never recommend this place to any of my surroundings and please make sure to hire more staff if you are short and train them as they do not have any idea of what is the service.

This was the worst hotel I have ever been in. We intended to stay for 5 days and they asked us to pay in advance! On the fifth day, I had an emergency and had to return home (health issues). My husband and I asked to take 25 percent and return the rest money, but they refused, which is very bad behavior. Besides, there was no shampoo in the room and no internet. Breakfast was terrible. We had to wait for the elevator for a long time. The room was very small and the music and noise at night were horrible. Never going there.

There is no service in this hotel. It is better to sleep outside. The hotel itself decided to hang 4 stars... but 0 stars is enough.

Rooms are in normal condition upon arrival, but room service is very poor. They clean room in every 3 day. Staff is non friendly. Most terrible service i have ever had. Single good thing is pool which is large and clean. Overall, dont recomend to come here.

The hotel was a huge disappointment.
The room was old, probably done a few decades ago, the staff was rude especially the lady on the reservation. The noise levels made it impossible to sleep, late night music after 23:00 but the music form the street was not the worst part, The air conditioning system in the room was so loud that it felt like I was trying to sleep on a plane. The constant noise made it impossible to relax, and even with earplugs, the sound was overwhelming. It completely ruined the experience and made it hard to get any rest and overall experience was far below expectations. Definitely not worth the money.
After enduring the noisy air conditioning, we decided to switch to a nearby hotel for a small additional cost. The difference was night and day—the new hotel offered far better service, quieter rooms, and more amenities. It was well worth the extra expense, and it made our stay much more enjoyable.

I was on vacation July 5-10. First time in Georgia. A small hotel with beautiful views of the sea. The room itself is nice. There is no safe. There is no hair conditioner. Breakfast is very poor from 9-11, when you arrive at 10 there will be almost nothing. And yes, as everyone writes, it is noisy, because right next to the hotel the music plays until 24, sometimes it ends later (earplugs help). There is a construction site of a neighboring hotel nearby, it is wall to wall. The dust and the view are very unpleasant. The beaches are not bad. Sunbeds 5-10 GEL, depending on where you go. Showers are 2 GEL, but you have to look at them directly 😅🙈 they showed me on the day of departure, I wouldn’t have noticed it myself. I bought corrals, it’s impossible to walk on me with bare feet with cobblestones. But this is everywhere in Batumi. If you leave in the evening or after 12, it is important: there is no place to change clothes, nowhere to wash, there is no special place for suitcases/things (you can just leave them next to the reception) as a result: I will return to Batumi, but not to this hotel.
