Reviews
The hotel is new and very clean.
Overall, everything was perfect.
The bathroom just needs some minor maintenance, especially the shower drain, as the water tends to pool and doesn't drain quickly.
The bathrobes were comfortable and pleasant to use.
As for breakfast, it wasn't to my liking – a common complaint I've encountered in most Georgian hotels that include breakfast.
The staff, however, were very helpful, respectful, and professional.
Thank you for the warm welcome and excellent service.
First, the reception staff (a man and a woman) and the barista were extremely rude to us. During check-in, the receptionist told us the coffee at the bar was free. After dropping off our luggage, we were tired from a long minibus ride (Mestia to Batumi) and wanted a coffee before heading out. So we went downstairs to the bar. Just in case I hadn't heard you clearly, I specifically asked if the coffee was free (in English). The barista said yes and asked what we wanted to drink. His attitude was terrible throughout, as if he were giving us charity. We didn't mind and waited patiently. When the coffee was ready, I told him I wanted it brought to our room. He said that was fine, and as I was about to go upstairs, he stopped us and said we had to pay. Thinking it best to avoid trouble, we accepted. But the subsequent room change was even more outrageous. I booked one night and two nights on two different platforms. After the first night, they told us we needed to change rooms. We waited for over an hour, but the front desk still hadn't processed it. When I went downstairs to ask, the shift had changed, and the front desk staff were the same man and woman who had checked us in initially. They dragged their feet again before finally giving us a new room, telling us it was because the previous staff hadn't explained it. We accepted it; it was already 2 PM, and we hadn't left since 11 PM when we were ready to leave. Then, things got ridiculous. They gave us a tiny room, completely different from the pictures on the booking. We booked the same room type for three nights, but we only got the correct room for the first night. After returning from our sightseeing that day, we contacted Ctrip customer service. Because I felt this hotel discriminated against Chinese tourists, I didn't confront them directly but chose to resolve the issue through customer service, requesting a change to the correct room. This tiny room was so small we couldn't even open our suitcases; we could only open them from the toilet doorway. Finally, the cleaning was appalling. The cleaning lady just swept the floor perfunctorily, changed the trash cans, and none of the toilet paper, slippers, or toiletries were replaced. They didn't even wipe the table. Although we didn't book a high-end hotel, a room costing 700-800 yuan a night should at least have basic service. Most importantly, our most direct impression was that they discriminated against Chinese people. Anyway, everyone should be rational and avoid such places. I'm sure there are good hotels in Batumi!
Rooms are nicely decorated with modern interior. The full length windows have beautiful views. The room had a weird smell during our whole stay. The bathrooms shower leaked water after every wash.
Breakfast was simple, fresh and clean. Would be nice to have different flavours of juice and marmalade.
Would recommend and visit again!
Nothing bad to say.
The water was a bit cold for my liking, but it’s not a big deal.
