We went to Munich to attend Oktoberfest. We stayed at Hotel Europa which is approximately 3 km from the Theresienwiese where the festival is held. There is excellent public transit in front of the hotel, but we chose to walk to and from. Hotel Europa is well appointed, very clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. First time to stay in a 5 star hotel that doesn’t offer toiletries. You would think it’s Andaz and it’s supposed to be premium since we stayed with other Andaz before, but this one doesn’t have any toiletries like the basic suchnas lotion. I got a pretty noisy room close to main road in fourth floor. It was pretty small with no TV and no WiFi. If you do have individual wishes or inquiries please do not expect a high flexibility. Nevertheless the historic place is a cozy way of accomodation.

Nice hotel but don't ask for peanuts. Everything was great, friendly staff, room, pillows and breakfast. But when I asked for some peanuts together with my beer I discovered that the 2 small handfull portions I received were billed for 3.60 euro's, more expensive then my beer!
