Great area, very quiet. Very friendly staff. A cute quality hotel to get a nice German feel. However our shower didn’t drain and flooded every time we turned on the faucet and there was hair in there from the previous guests. The side of the bed nearest the window was not swept of food crumbs, indicating a lousy clean job. And the fan they brought us didn’t work.

A 30 minutes or so walk from the old town or 2 underground stops. My room was very small, my friends both had bigger rooms. Clean, tidy, nice Dinning Room but the main thing was the staff, very friendly and helpful.

I was there for two nights and can definitely say that it was worth it. The neighbourhood is beautiful and calm. The room I stayed in was bright, clean and cozy. Hotel staff is so welcoming and friendly. I am really happy to have this experience and definitely recommend it to y‘all.

The staff were friendly and explained everything to me carefully, which made me feel at ease. The TV in my room didn't work, so I wasn't able to watch it even once during my stay. It's in a quiet area, about a 20-minute bus ride from the central station.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and I must highlight above all the friendliness of the staff: always attentive to solve problems and doubts that arose during the stay. The facilities are clean and the dining room is very well decorated. Although it looks like an old building, the rooms are modern and well equipped. The staff and this hotel made our stay in Munich unforgettable.

As I arrived early in the morning, I went to leave my luggage there and was allowed to check in at 10am. I was also allowed to have breakfast before check-in. It was a very comfortable stay.

If you want to save money, you can come, but you are responsible.

Terrific resort off the beaten path The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The room was brand new, airy, and large. The food at the restaurant was exceptionally good.

Peace on the lake. This is an idyllic place close to nature. The breakfast was ample and service not intrusive. The situation is quite and access is by an end road so traffic is not an issue.

Thalmair hotel is a lovely and cosy Family run hotel in Munich. The location is a bit far from the city centre, but its not an issue, as the underground is 2 mins walk. Very, very good experience. The hotel is located in the city center, next to the subway, with convenient transportation. There are famous attractions around, basically just a short walk. Hotel in need of an upgrade for the rooms. Wasnt very clean and the bathroom was very old fashioned with rust stains on the tiles. Second time at this property. Great location next to U5 stop, bakery and great restaurant within 2 blocks, perfect location for Oktoberfest or Frühlingsfest. Have stayed in hotel and the efficiencies and both are good. Staff wonderful! One of our party has bad knee and so they changed the efficiency he was in to ground floor (no elevator on efficiency building). Will stay again.

Was expecting much more considering the other reviews. The mattress was rather hard, which is not the best for someone with back problems. Drinks at the bar were ok but too expensive for the quality. Brekfast was too repetitive and I wasn't fond of the oil they used for the scrambled eggs. I'd give it a 2.5 if I could

It's about 3 tram stops from Munich Station. It's a little far away, but it's not noisy, so that's good. The staff are very kind. They kindly gave me the Wi-Fi password, and when I bought food from outside, they gave me a fork and spoon.
