Its location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of MedienHafen, on the banks of the Rhine River. The river views from the rooms and the restaurant are stunning, both day and night. With its modern architecture blending seamlessly into the glass towers around it, the interior atmosphere remains warm, elegant, and relaxing. Especially in the evening, enjoying a drink or breakfast while watching the reflections of the city lights on the river is an unforgettable experience. For both business trips and city visits, it’s one of Düsseldorf’s most outstanding hotels in terms of location, view, and ambiance. 🌇✨

It offers a peaceful atmosphere away from the bustle of the city center. To reach the main attractions or shopping areas, you can enjoy a pleasant 25–30 minute walk along the river or take a short taxi ride.
The interiors are sleek and contemporary, with a strong sense of luxury. However, the rooms are on the smaller side, and the layout may not appeal to everyone—the door opens directly into the bathroom area, which feels a bit unconventional.

I recently stayed at your hotel, which is advertised as 5-star, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what a guest should expect.
• The room design was very disappointing. Upon entering, you step directly into the bathroom, with no proper corridor or space to place luggage. The rooms were also extremely small and not as shown in the pictures on the website, making the stay uncomfortable.
• The bathroom lights flickered during my entire 5-day stay. I reported this issue every single day, yet no action was taken. This was not only inconvenient but also unsafe, as it could have caused a short circuit and fire hazard. On my last evening, when I followed up again, the staff’s response was shocking. Instead of fixing the issue, I was told with a smile that the engineering team had “checked” and closed the complaint. Instead of my complaint to be resolved, the Team Leader smiled on me and said “So what you want to do now? I can just follow up with the engineer”. No repair, no solution—just dismissal. The attitude was rude, unprofessional, and left me feeling as though my concerns were mocked.
• The sink was clogged, and water would take a long time to drain. This issue was also never resolved.
• The refrigerator was not working, even though we requested it to be fixed since we had personal items inside. Because nothing was done, all our products spoiled.
For a property promoted as 5-star, this level of service and maintenance is unacceptable. Instead of showing care, attention, and problem-solving, the approach from the staff was to ignore issues and treat guests with indifference and disrespect. Based on my experience, this property does not deserve its 5-star rating.
I sincerely hope that management takes this feedback seriously and makes urgent improvements.

The Hyatt in Düsseldorf is a well-run hotel with a high occupancy rate, and it's one of my personal favorites. Several of Düsseldorf's famous trendy restaurants are within walking distance across the bridge, and I've stayed at this hotel more than once.

This is my first ever negative hotel review – but my stay at Hyatt Regency Düsseldorf was so upsetting it ruined the impression of my trip.
At check-in, my colleague was told he needed to pay for the fully prepaid room. Then they claimed breakfast wasn’t included, until we showed our booking confirmation proving otherwise.
The deposit was another unpleasant surprise. Our confirmation stated €50/night to cover minibar expenses, but we were charged €100/night per room – and the minibar was empty. Later, my colleague received a bank alert showing they tried to charge the deposit again hours later. This made us feel unsafe from day one.
Security concerns didn’t end there. On the morning of departure, with a taxi booked for 8:00 a.m. to the airport, my colleague was suddenly unable to open the in-room safe using the same code he had been using throughout the stay. We were forced to wait for technical staff to open it.. For this reason, I strongly advise against storing cash in the safe.
Check-out with Lea was extremely unfriendly, leaving a final bad taste. I also strongly recommend not storing cash in the in-room safe.

If you expect any kind of service or help from the employees, this isn’t the right hotel for you. The reception forgot my request for a phone charger despite me asking three times and waiting five hours. Parking in the hotel garage costs 35€ a day.
