5 star hotels in Crete

Stayed here for 2 weeks in July. Lovely spacious rooms, great air con, fab shower, room cleaned every day to a high standard. Great pool area on the smaller side, but enough sunbeds, we would get a couple of beds when we came down for breakfast around 10 am. This hotel is rated 5 star but compared to many hotels we have stayed at, this is a 4 star at the most. 5 star price for a 4 star hotel which is frustrating when there other, better options nearby. Once arriving at the hotel we were taken To the Minos Hotel which is classed as 4 star with families. Inconsistent, some great touches and some room for improvement. Arriving at 03:30 to be told of the stealth tax of €15ppn wasn’t the best surprise. Amazing stay all around but would call out the staff is fantastic lead by Dimitris, the daily breakfast in room, the comfort and cleanliness, the location, everything was perfection - stay here if you can.

Very nice location, the town here is so quaint & lovely. The room was great, bed comfortable and I was in love with the plunge pool. Short walk to the beach & the restaurant next door was great. The breakfasts delivered to your room were so good & presentation was the cutest. Parking on-site which was great.

Serenissima is simply pure delight. Absolute gorgeousness in the most beautiful ancient city. The Customer service was second to none. Great location in the heart of the old town, we were very happy with the large room with mezzanine bedroom and private terrace as well as a smart tv (not that we watched much) was great to connect to for music/news etc in the evenings. Service at the breakfast was always very good as was the food. For the money everything was spot on and would highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed at several hotels during our honeymoon in Greece and this was by far our favorite! The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We loved the area as well and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

Good location for going to Heraklion Bus station. I Don't understand the structure of shower room with bed. Hard to understand what make here five stars. Breakfast is not buffet type. Pizza shop make breakfasts. But reasonable price at off season. It makes everything understandable and very kind and good, warm staffs too.

I can't quite believe how many 5 star reviews this place gets, bearing in mind the lack of facilities. This was an expensive holiday, so I think it fair to have expected more, especially as this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Spa is a dream that comes to life. The food is so amazing. One of the best meals i had ever. I recomment without hesitation.

The AC did not work the first day we were there, not very happy about that. But overall the hotel is amazing.

We spend two special night here. The rooms were well designed, the breakfast was superb, and the service was flawless. Was also very nice to have our own private pool with a view out over the city and lighthouse. Would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a tranquil break and a chance to recharge.

Great spot ! Would recommend Super sweet staff and reception (very knowledgeable and always willing to help with any request) ! We stayed in History! The original stonework was kept when rebuilt. Stayed in the mosaic suite, absolutely stunning, big shower, very comfortable bed ( queen +) Double glazed windows so you don't hear the night life.
