We had a great time in Crete at Chrispy water world hotel. The location was a bit distant but walking to the near by village didn't take long but it was pretty local, there were not so much tourist stores there, which was a good thing. Luca & Julia and their colledgues was amazing. My 5 yesr old told me that ”Luca is hos friend”. They made the whole family to feel welcomed and happy, Young as old. Luca and Julia was amazing. This was a 5 star hotel 25 years ago, now max 3 stars. Overal a bit dirty, old material, just not what we expected. Also i asked a drink at 5h in the morning and this was not possible, so thats not the service you provide as a 5-star in Europe. They need do downgrade this hotel asap.

We stayed for a week in a suite with a private pool and loved it. The staff were excellent to a fault, especially the bar staff - couldn't rate them high enough. The food was much better than your average all inclusive resort, especially the Veranda for breakfast (courtesy of our room) and Abrazo Mexican. If you're going to Crete and want a 5 star resort then you should consider the Stella Palace....

This hotel has everything you need for a great relaxing vacation. I especially enjoyed the spa. I had two massages there, and I’ve never been more relaxed thanks to Stefanos and Hosmik. I can only recommend you visit them during your stay at this hotel.

We spent 5 days in the Rethymno Palace as a couple, our teenage daughter and 4 of her friends. It's a nice hotel with indoor and outdoor pool and direct access to beach and sea. We booked a massage in the Spa with the very friendly spa manager Hasmik. I got a really relaxing massage from the masseur Stefanos who was able to give me advice for my back problem.

My only circumstances are bottled water is not free . No shower near main pool . Toilets not on same level as pool especially with children . -1 floor for indoor pool could potentially have a sauna /steam room to enhance the experience. Although the food choices are good. The location of the hotel is ideal. It is near all the local amenities. There is a supermarket around the corner which I believe is open until late. Many beach side restaurants. Our stay at Insula Alba Resort & Spa was absolutely wonderful - the hotel is beautiful, relaxing, and truly perfect for a peaceful vacation. The spa experience was exceptional: Dimitris and Emma were both professional, kind, and gave us one of the best treatments we’ve ever had.
