The Nest Resort in Hersonissos

The first impression of this hotel is very misleading. While it boasts a very trendy design, our actual experience was far from satisfactory. We had specifically chosen this hotel for its promised tranquility, but we were given a room on the reception level with a terrace extending directly along the path to the pool. This meant absolutely no peace or privacy during the day. Changing rooms, even with an extra charge, was not possible.

Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay, particularly given the positive reviews we had read:
- The room wasn't clean, and the bathroom was never properly cleaned during our entire 4-day stay.
- There was mold on the bathroom window and a non-functional soap dispenser.
- The sauna and hammam are definitely not recommended: there was a foul odor, and tiles in a plunge pool were loose.
- Poolside sun loungers: the edges were very dirty/sticky from spilled drinks, and there was broken glass underneath some loungers. Pool towels were only available from 11 AM.
- Breakfast: While all the essentials were there, the hot dishes were only mediocre. There was also no fresh fruit juice.
- Hotel location: You definitely need a car to get to the beach. Walking is technically possible but unpleasant and dangerous due to the main road.
- Staff were friendly, especially at the front desk.

With proper attention to cleanliness and hygiene, this hotel truly has the potential to be a gem.
